This was the first time that I visited Michaels. I was amazed by the various products for drawing, painting, sewing and more. The store is located close to my home, and parking is convenient. The store is clean and bright. It was a wonderful experience for me.

I stopped by the Michaels at Northgate Plaza today, just to pick up an online order. Within five seconds of pushing the online order button at the front of the store, I was greeted with a staffer to help me. He immediately went off to retrieve my order and while waiting, another staffer came up to see if I needed help! And a greeter at the front store was also asking if I needed anything and how my day was going. I didn’t wait more than a minute to get my order. Wow, such service!!! It was very refreshing! I ended up buying an item in store and checking out at a register and that staffer was super friendly and helpful as well. Great job Michaels!

Such great sales on craft and decor. Easy to navigate. Great curbside pickup of orders if concerned about covid. The employees are so kind and helpful! It is nice to go in and browse! So chill and near little things you wouldnt think of! Loved the woman power collection this month!

Had a great experience at the Michael’s on Georgia Ave., MD. I brought in a painting my daughter had created for me for my birthday, and I wanted it framed. Matt came over from another area to help out, because Aiya was swamped, and he did a fabulous job helping me pick out the frame, matting, etc., and he couldn’t have been nicer. Aiya was also very nice, and wanted to help me, but didn’t want me to wait too long. Good management skills! I picked up finished product today & I love it. Just gorgeous!!

They always have the items Im looking for and the employees are always friendly and helpful.

I want to start off this review by saying that the employees at this store are always super pleasant, friendly, and helpful, but I think the management of this store could do a lot better.I went to look for watercolor supplies today. The website said that the supplies I needed (brushes and paints) were in stock online, but when I went to the store, they were not stocked on the shelves. Furthermore, the inventory on the shelves was very disorganized and it was really hard to tell what belonged to which price tag. This is now several times that I have been to this store and the shelves in certain sections are a mess. The higher-quality watercolor brushes section was also very sparse.Finally, some of the supplies look like they have been sitting on the shelves for a long time and are no longer good. For example, I went to shake a metallic watercolor ink because the pigments had settled and they did not re-suspend in the liquid like they are supposed to. Obviously, not all art supplies go bad over time, but some do. I also tested out some gel pens that had completely dried up.I had a list of 10 items to buy and only left with 2 (a pen and sketch pad). I think the store manager might need to hire more employees to check inventory, stock the shelves, and improve the ordering. Again, nothing I mentioned should reflect poorly on the hourly employees, but rather the management. I probably wont be back to this store until there are some improvements.

I went to return one of the items I bought a while ago, and there was a problem with the item I bought from Amazon, so I printed the RMA sticker and found a UPS shop, but it was not nearby. and came out Please note that the stores customer return office also handles the return of UPS items.

Since I needed to send a package through UPS, the desk for returns managed by MICHAELS was quick, professional and close to me. I easily wrapped up business, and shopped for Easter goodies before leaving. Early morning ease. Perfect.

Clean and organized store, had friendly and helpful staff. I was there to get a picture frame, they had a pretty good selection. Pretty much everything is 50% off and theres always a coupon if you go their website.

Michaels is always fun if youre in to arts and crafts. Make sure to bring your kids here to hunt for supplies for school projects.

Generally great staff. Friendly, polite and helpful. Everyone, not just one specific person. Went in the store to create small centerpieces. You know the ones with the flowers, water and rocks? Oh yeah...tea candle on top. Anyway, the helpful associate sensing that I was completely out of my element helped every step of the way.

As artist/crafter I love shopping at Michaels. Majority of the time I am able to find the items I need for my projects. And, theres always a really great sale. Associates are pleasant and helpful. Check out lines move quickly. Social distancing, masks wearing required. Hand sanitizer available upon entering the store.

How do you have someone as a Store Manager for a Arts, Crafts & Framing Store and KNOWS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT FRAMING! I went to the Custom Framing Dept. and they had an employee who was flustered because he had 2 people in his line and I go get the Store Manager Matt to help me and he tells me that he DIDNT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FRAMING!! How is that possible if this is a framing store and your the manager and then he made it seems like it was ok for his employees getting flustered with customers! This Store Needs ToRe-evaluate There Employees and there Positions!

Arts Dept team is the best. Framed my grandmothers trumpet using her sheet music as the back drop. Just Beautiful!

Michaels has great supplies for even greater crafts! I was looking for a covid crafts to do with my daughter in the single kit. The paint by numbers was an option but my daughter wanted to do needlepoint.

Hmmm. Few things could be improved but for the most part my shopping experience was ok. Decent parking and easy in and out of the shopping center.

What everyone wants to know:*Yes, theyre well staffed (dont ever have to look too far for help)*Yes, they are well stocked (out of the several Michaels I visit, this one almost ALWAYS has just what Im looking for, and more)*Yes, they are clean and supply cleaner for the carts*Yes, public bathrooms are roomy and clean*Yes, they have a pickup system thats easy and quick to use (call button right inside the front door)What I especially want to share:Im addicted to this place. Michaels has so many fun things to do with my kiddo. I appreciate the open-ended supplies that allow my mind to think creatively (but also examples and related items organized just right to help me get inspired or over a hump if Im not familiar with the craft or technique).The staff at the store is very helpful not only in finding what I need but also share about experiences and their expertise if asked. I often ask for suggestions or ideas and am so pleased with their ideas.

Just went to pick up a package at this place since they are a location drop off with Amazon if youre not home to sign for your package but otherwise they have a variety of things for home decorations and the customer service is wonderful staffs are very friendly and helpful.

A week after Thanksgiving and their inventory of Christmas decor and wreaths was already wiped out. Rows and rows of empty shelves.Oh well.

ALWAYS a pleasure to go to Michaels, such a fun store...can easily spend two hours shopping because of ALL the fun merchandise they have.

Relative to other Michaels, this seemed disorganized & staff I encountered were not knowledgeable-very courteous & tried to be helpful but just didnt seem to know the products, inventory, or location of items.

There is a such a wide variety of products here. The staff is helpful- just ask for ideas. I love going there when I’m preparing to decorate for the holidays (especially Halloween & Christmas). I even usually find some good gifts for crafty people & kids.Their mailing list usually has coupons. But if you want a good discount tell them I sent you ;) (disclaimer: this technique is not guaranteed to work).

This store, like Target, is the devil. I went in for one thing and $120 and 2 bags later i sit in shock. I swear I just wanted shrink wrap.

This is one of the best Michaels in the area overall. The staff is always professional, friendly and very customer service oriented. The store is clean and well put together majority of the time and that includes the womens restroom. Whenever I think of going to Michaels this is the first one that pops into my mind. I have been going to this Michaels for over 15 years and its always consistent regardless of who is working there. The store managers know what theyre doing when it comes to staffing their business.

They have so many different items for a wide variety of crafting preferences. I am always able to find things for my needs as well as those of my children and wife. The staff are courteous and eager to help.

The Aaron Brothers frame shop inside this store is incredible. Excellent staff, they take their time and are very knowledgeable. With Michaels great prices, it is a bonus.

Great place to get stuff to help you be creative. Walking down the aisles, you can get inspired to make beautiful things on your own. You can material for school projects or house decor or gifts that are unique. The people there are very helpful and can give you pointers on your project. Have fun!

Altoona Michaels had ALL the Ashland jar candle smells I have been looking for all over!

Staff were very helpful and honest in giving recommendations for the best options.The coupons are a great thing to have if you visit the store often, I myself am guilty of doing so. Would definitely recommend when looking for art supplies. When I don’t find an item I am looking for( which is rarely), I find a suitable substitution for the item.
