Talked on the phone about a price We both agreed on and once again in person.I get there and go to the bank for the money calls me while I’m at the bank and says he’s going to need another 1500 because someone else is more interested when we had already agreed to a price.HIS WORD MEANS NOTHING!!. I was really interested and had my kids in the suv and didn’t want to see sad faces on the way back home so I agreed to it as long as they fix some issues never called me back worse dealer ever they have nice cars but lots of problems with the cars .thought about calling better business bureau
While I didnt find a vehicle I was looking for on their lot today, I would return just based on dealing with Shannon. He was amazing! Straight forward, up front, honest, helpful, non pressuring... The list could go on and on. If you are looking for a car at this place work with Shannon!

We have purchased two vehicles from Shannon at Smithfield Auto center, and they both have been amazing cars. Vehicles are very clean, not one issue with either we have purchased, and they are straight honest people. I will not go anywhere else for another vehicle. They will do everything they can to get you riding in a car same day. If there is a will, there is a way..I highly recommend Smithfield Auto Center. Ask for Andy, and Shannon.
I didnt visit the dealership, but spoke to two different salesman they both where very unprofessional i do wish i could say other wise i felt taking advantage of once the salesman got my wife and i information over the phone. I wish we had gone in person. I want ever do that again lesson learned. I was turned down then my wife information was ran they never gave us a phone call if she where approve or not! That definitely rubbed me the wrong way.😈😈😈😈😈

Just bought my 17 year old son his first car from Smithfield Auto Center. My experience with these guys was very quick, professional and exceptional service. I had a problem with the car in four days. However, even though the car was bought AS IS, Andy stilled helped me with the minor repair. I highly recommend this dealership. In fact, I will tell everyone I know to go see Andy or Shannon!

Horrible, horrific, terrible, disaster sold me a lemon! I am interested in knowing what type of vehicle another reviewer is speaking of when they mention they took the vehicle to GMC. Ironically I purchased a GMC and was informed that it needs major repairs. I can relate to the experience of calling Smithfield back only to be spoken to in a very condescending tone. I was told to bring the vehicle back...however I explained I live a great distance away and one of the repairs that was needed resulted in the vehicle not being safe to drive (busted power steering boot..that’s just one repair) it was only a miracle and the grace of God that I made it home safe. Not only do I have major repairs but I purchased an SUV and I cannot use the third row because the second row seat does not fold down. I am greatly disappointed in the customer service I received and the vehicle I was sold. I only purchased another SUV because the one I had was totaled due to the tornado. This has been an awful experience and injustice. I would never recommend Smithfield Auto to anyone. Thank God for Karma. You cannot treat people wrong lie, deceive, or manipulate and believe that it will not catch up with you. I would not rate any stars if it was possible.
Over the years I have bought two cars from Andy..a Lexus suv and a Cadillac Escalade..both used, but great cars. I would definitely buy from him and his wonderful staff again. Thats why I decided to leave a review..I came to see what cars he had available and was surprised to see negative reviews. Andy and his crew are friendly, open, have always gone above and beyond for me and my husband..always. Do your research and know what to offer on the car you are interested in, and also if you are trading in your car, what it is worth. Always take any used car to your own mechanic to get looked over..that is just plain common sense, and make your buying decision accordingly.

Walked in with no hope of me gonna get the camaro I wanted because my insurance would be to high and everyone there helped me out so much and gave me an amazing deal and a new insurance company they reccomend. Only problem I have is the radio has some sort of short in it but seein how I was gonna get a new radio for it anyway it doesnt matter to me. Great place to buy vehicles with great people that work there and I can not say thank you enough for helping me get my car, definitely will do business with Smithfield auto for my next vehicle in the future.-Jacob Chastain

I just purchased a vehicle from SAC,and I must admit that the reviews had me very skeptical,But I am very glad I went with my instinct and I also prayed about it and I was able to get the car that I wanted.The salesman was very helpful throughout the entire process.I have been going back and forth trying to decide which vehicle that I wanted,And Shannon was very patient and there to answer any questions that I had.I am in love with my vehicle and I am very glad I choose to take that 1hr and 45 min ride to do business with them.

Would like to start by saying, based on what you are about to read you make your own decision on if you choose to do business here at this dealership, but what you read is the truth nothing scripted . This is a personal issue that went on here at this dealership. For starts the owner feels he can talk to people the way he wants to also once you purchase your vehicle, I would highly recommend you to get it checked out thoroughly, once you pay you are stuck . Its your responsibility to fix and repair and still make your payment, the owner doesnt care if your car breaks down all he wants is your payment . So lets talk about down payments, be careful what you are quoted by the sales team cause owner is subject to change his mind on the price .red flag now on a more personal and more serious comment that was made. For my African American people that do business at this dealership or may have wanted to do business at this dealership . Ask yourself this question if the owner classify us as you people how would like to have your money go there . Seems to me the owner is a slight bit racist . But the exact comment was and I quote . Im tired of you people paying how you want to pay thats why I want to get out of the buy here pay here buisness that was a direct comment from the owner . So in other words sense people have credit issues he feels we need him more than he needs our buisness. So overall you make your own decision on what you want your experience to be there but you have been warned and I highly would not recommend this dealership
This is the worse place to purchase a so called car . All the cars there are POS! N then they make u buy a car that is worth 600$ n try to make u pay 4000$ for it! Total ripoff n BS! Andy is probably the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my life. I purchased a 600$ car from here. I put 500$ plus worth of work into it bc as soon as i drove it off the lot it had so many problems with it. N Andy didnt want to help me at all for not even a month. Its ok though.. I am going to get my 1100$ back thanks to my attorney! Andy good luck! And I cant wait to see his immature comment after this message!!! PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY VEHICLES FROM SMITHFIELD AUTO SALES IN SMITHFIELD. MY SON PURCHASED A 2006 PONTIAC FROM THERE THAT WOULDNT CRANK THE VERY NEXT DAY. WE TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND THEY SAID IT WAS RUST UNDERNEATH THE CAR AND ALL THE WIRES WERE RUSTY. THEN HE GOT A 2003 HONDA ON OCTOBER 24 AND THE MOTOR BLEW UP IN IT ON MONDAY. I CALLED THEM JUST FOR MY SON TO GET HIS MONEY BACK AND THEY SAID NO. THEY WOULDNT EVEN GIVE HIM SOME OF IT BACK. THEY ARE SELLING LEMONS SO BEWARE.
I bought one car from this company 6/16...7/16 the thottle body went out. 10/16 would be 120 days since i had the car. Conclusion...this company sales cars that aint no good.
This used car dealership CANNOT be trusted! I bought a vehicle from them and while driving over an hour home the vehicle had problems that could have put my life in danger. I drove it right to the GM Dealership to find out what is wrong with it. $5,900.00 worth of major issues. I know Smithfield Auto Sales knew this ahead of time and it was things I couldnt visually see due to the location of the issues for example tie rods, hubs, calipers etc. I also paid $200.00 for a warranty which they have yet to put into the system. I have a vehicle that I cannot drive and a warranty I cannot use. The Warranty company did advise me to call them and to get my money back. When I spoke to the owner he bullied me over the phone and said the issues were no big deal and the GM Dealership Service writer was trying to make his commission. He told me to drive it up there and his mechanic can look at it. Well, if I cant trust the dealership, I certainly cannot trust his mechanic. Not to mention the loose hub and the frozen rear brakes, busted tie rod and broken shock. I am NOT risking my life or any other drivers on the roads lives because of these people. I am not risking putting my grandchildren in this vehicle either.I bought the vehicle on June 8th, 2018. 10 days later it still is unusable!In an effort to educate potential buyers, I needed to share the above with you. I dont want to see ANYONE go through what I am going through now. There are better options with used car dealerships who are trust worthy. I found this out afterwards.
One of the best places to purchase a vehicle even if you have little to no credit... love the staff, they treat me like family... sold me my first car... sold me a second car for my little family...things happen in life and sometimes your car gets repossessed it doesnt mean its the end of the world.... Andy was was able to work with me to give me sometime to come up with some money to get my car back... we now have our car and they are working with us in making weekly payments to catch up... cant get any better than that.... Honestly Ive had nothing but great experiences with these people
