Greg and Bryn were great to work with! They fixed my clutch on my 1987 BMW 535is, and for a fair price! I am very pleased now after having my car break down on highway 50 that I found Tahoe Import Auto! Recommend!

Wow! Tahoe Import Auto went really above and beyond for a simple car check up for me! When they couldnt find the battery my car needed on the hill, they drove all the way to Carson and picked up the one needed and still got my car done same day. If I could leave 100 stars I would. Thank you!

Superb service. They found the time to squeeze my MINI in on a short notice, inspected it, gave me a very clear plan on parts and labor, and fixed it in no time as promised. Very knowledgeable about European cars, and fun to have a business with. Thank you!

So i scheduled an appointment, i have never been to this place before. I had made an appointment for a diagnostic for my check engine light. This costed me about $150. What they explained to me was that my bad a major issue that they couldn’t diagnose, although i had payed $150 just for a diagnosis that i could’ve done with a basic OBD2 scanner. They stated that they would fix the problem for about $700, while “they couldn’t diagnose” the problem. I am very sure other people have better experiences here but mine did not go as planned.

Took in my VW Golf R for the scheduled DSG service. Better appointment availability and cheaper price than the other import shops in town, and the final bill was actually cheaper than the original quote! Will be using this shop for all of my VW maintenance needs in the future, awesome experience.

I took my car in for a diagnostic. Bryn was very helpful and honest about the condition of my car in as it was not worth putting money into. They couldve fixed it and charged me an arm and a leg but they didnt. I admire her honesty and integrity. I would go there again or recommend them to anyone. Fast friendly and upfront. They were recommended to me by Tim and Jim at Tahoe Diesel and 4 Wheel Drive. Another place I admire and trust. Kudos to a bunch of guys who give mechanics and people a good name.

I drove across country 5 and 1/2 years ago and when i arrived in Tahoe i stopped into Tahoe Import auto to get the car check and an oil change, After such a wonderful first experience i have not gone to any other shop but them. I recently had a coolant issue and they diagnosed the issue with a bad Heater core. I wanted to take my car home for a couple days to make a decision on the next step. Bryn topped my coolant reservoir off and also gave me a gallon of water in case the reservoir emptied. They have wonderful customer service and i have trusted them with my Volvo for almost 6 years now. THANKS

If you have an Import this is the place to go. Ive been using them for well over 20 years, with my VW Passat and now my Audi A4. They really know what they are doing. No costly guessing issues like other shops. They get right to the issue and prices quoted are correct. Bryn and Greg are experts in their field, Import Cars! Thanks again import auto for a timely and EXCELLANT job on my car.

Rather than take the easy and more profitable route on a fuel pump replacement, due to the peculiarity of a noise coming from my 03 Audi A4 the technicians collaborated and determined the fault to reside with the fuel filter. Once the fuel filter arrived, the technicians were able to diagnose new part was defective and luckily had ordered a spare along with the original. As a result, I was able to get back on the road as expected. Despite the additional effort required, I was charged standard rates for the fuel filter replacement. I would go back to these guys again in a heart beat. I felt they had my best interests as a customer in mind throughout the process. Thanks guys and gal.

Needed to have our brake fluid checked as the light went on. Drove there and asked about what the problem might be and was it serious? The woman with tattoos at the front desk was not very nice and in fact, rude. She told us she didn’t have time to do a brake flush even though she didn’t really ask us more questions nor look at the car. We took a business card and cordially asked her if this was her card, she rolled her eyes and said no. Basically zero customer service. Would not recommend.

They KNOW German cars! My 2006 VW Passat 3.6 V6 with 217,500+ miles on it had an intermittent problem that could be considered serious, even indicating the car had come to the end of its useful life. The oil pressure warning light would come on & instruct the driver to immediately shut off the engine & stop the car. But, like I said it was intermittent, & there was no unusual engine noise indicating low oil pressure. If I raised the RPMs above 2k, the light & alarm sound would turn off. I took the car to a VW dealership twice & they didnt find any problem . In time it got worse. Went to another German specialist shop here locally. Didnt find the issue, & agreed with the dealer that the oil pump is likely the culprit & I was looking at $2200+ to fix it. Given the age & mileage on the car that wasnt a great option. It just didnt seem to me the pump was the problem. How about the oil pressure sensor? Could it have gone bad? The other shops didnt even consider nor investigate that possibility. I decided to look for another German car specialist to get another opinion. Enter Tahoe Import Auto. My first phone conversation with Bryn (a woman) put me at ease, & she agreed that the sensor may be the problem. She then outlined the steps SHE would take to diagnose the issue, which included checking the sensor & physically testing the pressure the oil pump was producing. She said the diagnosis would be $115. I dropped the car off in the morning, she called me at about 1pm with the good news that the sensor was leaking oil very badly, & the pump was working as expected. She cleaned up the mess, installed a new sensor, test drove the car - no problem. I picked the car up that afternoon & paid less than $200. I drove my Passat to Reno & back without issue the next day. Nuff said? I have found my new go to shop! :-{D

Service is not proficient. The mechanic didnt seem to know whats wrong with the car even after she ran through the computer. We had to tell the her which sensor needs to be replaced after we googled the symptom from the web. With that, we had to stay extra day to wait for that mechanic to get the sensor replaced.

One of the best and most honest mechanics, my rental car broke down right when we got into Tahoe and needed a Audi specialist, this happen to be the only one in town, walked in a hour and half before closing and Greg was able to fix my car and have it running again no issues within a hour, i cant thank him enough for saving my vacation and making this as hassle free as possible and with A+ service and speed and quality work and at a very decent price, recommend him for any work you need done thanks again!
