I stopped here during a scenic walk in downtown Stowe, just to visit and check out a local shop. I ended up walking away with $50 of chocolates and no regrets. So far each one has been delicious and made with high quality. Id also like to thank the woman behind the counter with shorter blonde hair that welcomed us, helped me pick out the chocolates, and then gave us the BEST hiking advice. I got some tremendous green mountain views thanks to her.

Amazing place. Bought large box of choc. For my crew back at home. Friendly and helpful staff and everything is made on premise. Will be following on social media and encouraging others to stop at this amazing Vermont staple.

A nice, quaint chocolate shop in Stowe. I bought a sampler of dark and milk chocolates and they were extremely decadent! Each piece was definitely a treat.

While youre enjoying the scenic beauty of Stow, this is a must stop for those with a sweet tooth. The decadent chocolates are delicious and varied in flavor.

Fantastic chocolates made in-house. We got the lavender chèvre and peppermint flavors with a hot chocolate. Staff was so friendly too!

Visited here during memorial day weekend. We did have a slight wait outside as the staff at this location were not fully vaccinated (I appreciate they want to keep their workers safe). Our wait was not that long, and they the even brought chocolate samples out to us and offered to take our order if we knew what we wanted (we didnt, hence our desire to wait). We went inside and their staff was extremely kind and courteous. Having a delicious buttercream to snack on likely influenced my decision to purchase some, and I have no regrets!

There are a wide variety of chocolates and caramels without being overwhelming. You can buy individual pieces or gift packages. There is something for everyone.

Stopped in here when we stayed last fall in an AirBnB apartment. My wife loves good, quality chocolate and this place delivers! We walked out of there with an order of Barks & Clusters and 4 Truffles. Cost $ 22.50. We savored it for the next couple days. Highly recommend for those with a sweet tooth.

Friendly staff, kitchen is open to view chocolate work, store is small and neat but arranged in away you can move around when multiple customers are browsing...and there...are...soooo...many choices!! Boxes of assorted sizes are available- sold by weight and by piece. Other candies are sold, as well as seasonal delights. A must go when in Stowe...

Nice staff and the chocolate looks attractive as did the store which was clean and very covid friendly, but unfortunately what we got did not taste good. Not sure if it was vegan or some other key ingredients (sugar and salt) were missing but the various pieces we bought were just plain. Sorryaddendum: appreciate the quick response from ownership, I do not need a refund but my kids did enjoy the nicely decorated Easter baskets.

Great selection, and everything we have tried has been amazing. Chocolate bark with cranberries, marshmallow fudge, dark chocolate peanut butter cups, oh and the dark chocolate buttercrunch!

Very few 5 stars given and this is partly because I love candy.We went with 16 kids between 7-12 years old and watched them make candy canes from scratch right in front of us. The peppermint smell filled the air as the pulled and stretches and cooled the 15lb lump of melted sugar. After they pulled it we all got to shape our own candy canes. Wonderful, informative and fulfilling. Not to mention the hundreds of different types of chocolate and other candies, all homemade right there. Probably the best party was being so close and having all the staff be so friendly and educated about the process. This is a 100% recommend but make sure theyre demoing before you go!

I dont normally post reviews and I have tried many many chocolates throughout my lifetime, but I can honestly say these are the best salted caramel chocolates Ive ever had! So soft and delightful! My husband is not allowed to buy me anything but Laughing Moon Chocolates from now on!

Dont know what the hype is about, but this chocolate is definitely substandard in comparison to quality bean-to-bar chocolate makers around the country. No competition in VT, sadly, as we dont know of any other chocolate makers in the state. Theres an opening in the market for an upstart who loves making chocolate, unless this place raises the bar a few notches. Its over-sugared, low quality chocolate and fabrication. I love chocolate and wish them the best. Cute store though!

The lights were on and the door said closing at 6pm. It is currently 4:16 pm and I went around 410pm.Lady inside saw me. She was sooo close to the door organizing the chocolates but completely ignored and looked away. She did this 3X or more.I figured maybe she doesn’t work here but ... anyways. She eventually came by the door and said “we’re closed” and she shut the door on my face with 0 care to what the door said.Horrible customer service. I wouldn’t go back if I could.

So happy we stopped here! Its a cute little shop downtown, when you walk in you can see people making the truffles which is cool. I ordered some fudge and was allowed to sample it first. Honestly some of the creamiest and smoothest fudge Ive ever had. $14/lb which actually isnt terrible. The truffles are $2 each which seems expensive but on par with any other truffle youll buy. They also sell CBD chocolate (I didnt buy so idk how it tastes)

We decided to make a quick stop at one more place before heading back to our hotel and this place just happen to be on the way so I didnt know what to expect. The staff were very friendly and you could watch them making candy in their kitchen so that was cool. The candy is a bit pricey but its what you would expect at a handmade candy shop and the chocolate is delicious. We were very happy with what we purchased. We will be stopping by if ever around the area again.

This place is so adorable and also makes amazing candy! Every day at 2 they do a chocolate dipping demonstration, which was really fun to watch. The girl who was doing ours is the daughter of the woman who owns the shop and she was so friendly and answered all of my questions about candy making. She gave us samples of the buttercreams that she dipped and even gave us the extras for free. Really lovely and interactive place with very tasty chocolate - definitely worth a visit if youre in the area.

These girls are truly chocolate artists. Large variety of truffles which are superb, but the true winner is the fudge. I bring a pound to work and its gone by morning! Creamy best describes it. Different from Jersey shore fudge which is coarser in texture. Go there every time you are in Stowe!

We went to watch the demonstration and ended up spending way too much on chocolates! As soon as you open the door the aroma takes you to a dreamland. They have everything from your basic chocolate truffle to a blue cheese truffle (tastes much better than it first sounds). The staff were very friendly and informative.

We arrived just in time for the 2pm demonstration and it was great. I did not catch the name of the woman doing the demo, but she was friendly, entertaining and very informative. The chocolate was amazing. We have already looked up how to order more chocolate from them and plan on purchasing soon. It is nice to see that actual person who is making the wonderful food I am about to eat. A must stop in even if you miss the 2pm demo. There are other chocolate places in the area, but honestly, go here!!!

Remarkable, thats Laughing Moon Chocolates. I love this place, especially the friendly chocolatiers. If you stop in, grab a box of salted caramel chocolates, they are divine. This is also, surprisingly, the best place for a mocha in town. This is because they use their own chocolate instead of some Hersheys sauce. I cannot recommend the double shot mocha more. It is like drinking a delicious chocolate covered espresso bean. Cant wait to get it again...

Oh My Dogs!!! This place is a chocolate lovers paradise!!! The Buttercrunch with Pecans is incredible as are the other barks - the truffles are amazing - AND THE FUDGE!!!!! They give demonstrations at about 2 pm daily - and if you even remotely love chocolate you will walk out with many fine treats! For those traveling through and/or staying in Stowe - this is a great place to spend some time! And if you like what you try - they have a great online service so you can re order for yourself and send to your friends for holidays and special occasions! A great place!!!

We had some coupons from one of our tours for some free truffles, so we stopped in to try them. We ended up buying a selection of other super-tasty chocolates while we were there including dark chocolate peanut butter cups, chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate smores, and a few others. Really high quality chocolate, and a quaint shop. A must-do in Stowe!

Was ready to spend money on many of their yummy looking chocolates but customer service was so poor!! Upon walking in employees were very interested in their own conversation, no one came out to greet me or try interest me in any of their cased chocolates. They holler to see if I had any questions and then went back to their conversation! Im all for supporting small local businesses but Ive never seen a business care less about making a sale!!

Epic hot cocoa fresh made, and the chocolates are unreal! The butter crunch and chocolate pretzels are some of my fav! Also the store is really beautiful. The old antique wood cases filled with dozens and dozens of different treats layed out are truly stunning!

This review is a little deceiving because the quality of chocolates themselves are more befitting of five shiny stars. Alas, I deducted a point each for poor customer service and their lack of allergy friendly chocolates, respectively.The bad stuff out of the way first. Customer service is next to nothing. Questions? They dont have answers. If they do have answers, its with an attitude. Employees do not create a welcoming environment and instead give off the impression as though somehow youre bothering them by offering your patronage.I also understand that not everyone is obligated to offer allergy friendly options, but if you dare as so much even ASK if they offer allergy friendly options, they answer extremely rude. The attitudes in this place are honestly appaling and have made me second guess going there.HOWEVER, with that said, their chocolates are truly unrivaled. Not many chocolatiers offer dark chocolate options, and if they do, its watered down, second rate dark chocolate, but this dark chocolate is some of the best Ive had from a chocolate shops. Their flavors are unique and adventurous, although sometimes difficult to actually taste, but overall, AMAZING truffles. Some of the best around.Would love to give them 5 stars, but the customer service just wont allow it.
