I arrived early and followed their instructions. I called the office from my car to check in and was greeted by a pleasant friendly office worker. She asked me a few questions and told me they would get me in as quickly as they could which actually turned out to me exactly on time! I felt very good and relaxed with everyone I interacted with. I highly recommend Advanced Family Eye Care!

I have been going to this optometrist office since 2009. In the many years since then, Ive had nothing but excellent experiences here. Dr. Hosaka and his staff are always very welcoming and are always willing to help you. I would strongly recommend this office to everyone in the area.

Unfortunately the experience was very unsatisfactory. It started when they wanted to charge us to teach my son how to wear contacts. They wanted a separate appointment to do just that on a different day.So we opted for glasses but same thing. The selection of glasses was very limited and my son was cornered to choose glasses he did not like by the staff who was not very friendly and we had to keep asking them to offer more options and doing the job for them. It was like pulling teeth!The first pair was to heavy and gave him headaches so we asked if he could change it.They looked very bothered and agreed but only if we gave up on the guarantee. I feel the staff is using the pandemic to have a lazy process of selection.They are still on lock down over there and completely overdoing it. As a result of their precautions they made it so hard to see the limited selection and get fitted for the glasses.Additionally, it took a long time to get them back and also had to make a different appointment to just have an adjustment!The staff is not very knowledgeable and failed to let us know that a metal frame would feel to heavy for everyday wear which is what cause the headaches.The Doctor was good and my husband really would have like to keep going and take all five members of our family but somethings are not right with the way they deliver the service.I rather stay with Costco and pay about the same but with way better results and less hassle for one pair of glasses that ended up being a rushed decision for my son.Costco guarantees you choice and has a ton of glasses to chose from and cheaper! They also deliver them in the same week and will not charge to teach you to wear contacts!! That was ridiculous!The good reviews here speak of the quality of the doctor but he needs to look into how his staff is handling things in the front office.We will not fall for it again.

I would like to thank the team at advanced family eye care for a really comfortable appointment today. In the days of the pandemic, the staff has got the routine down making me feel safe. From answering questions while waiting in the car, taking my temp, making me sanitize my hands upon entering the office, noticing the plastic covering all the necessary equipment n furniture, wiping everything down as I sat for exams n the staff wearing their PPEs correctly. Youd be surprised how many people actually do not know how to wear their PPE properly....smh. So thank you for caring for your patients n making us feel comfortable when you feel nothing but stress going to medical or office buildings!!!!

I was going to a different doctor in Torrance for years but their service quality declined drastically. I decided to book an appointment with Dr. Hosaka and they were GREAT! The girls in the front exceeded my expectations with their great service and the doctor was fast, efficient and knowledgeable. His prescription has been the best so far since I first started using glasses.

Advanced eye care has always provided excellent service. They are really good about getting clients in on time and staying on task. The employees are polite and knowledgeable about the business and it’s product.

On the new patient form they inform you that there is a “needed” or mandatory $39 or $20 additional exam. I inquired about it because my insurance states that I have $10 copays for exam. Person who texted me front optometrist told me that they will not perform that add on and not charge me for it, and instead do the basic exam that my insurance covers.When I arrived they still did the additional $20 exam for my partner and I, contradicting what they told me via text, so I had to pay $60 instead of the $20 that I initially agreed on with them...Gave them three stars because the staff was nice. However, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

I had an appointment in November and they informed me that my glasses will arrive in December. However, it’s almost 5 months later and they never contacted me to pick them up. I’m very disappointed in this company as it’s unorganized/ unprofessional.*The number I gave out was correct maybe your staff didn’t hear correctly.*

I have nothing but great things regarding this eye office. The staff is awesome!!! They always have a smile and are super friendly. When you have an emergency and need to see the doctor they do every to give you an appointment or you can come as a walk in. The doctors are amazing. So patient, friendly, professional and courteous. They really make you feel at ease. My daughter has really bad anxiety and I had taken her to another eye doctor that didn’t do nothing for her. She is 6 yrs old and she was nervous and crying and I felt bad for the girls that do the first exams and handle your glasses but they made us feel comfortable enough to continue with the testing and eventually she was treated and thank god she did because her eye goes inward and it’s bad but hopefully the glasses will help in order for her not to have surgery. My oldest son had to come all the way from New Mexico because he supposedly failed the eye exam to get hired for the federal government and the doctor that re examined him said his vision was 20/20 and the doctor was nice enough to write an extensive report for him to take back. Long story short he got hired. If you guys are looking for great prices, awesome staff and great knowledgeable doctors with great hours I highly recommend this eye clinic.

💯 COVID-19 ready from the moment you park and you answer a questionnaire via phone, your temperature is taken, hands sanitized upon arrival, only two patients are seen at the office at one time, every chair is covered with plastic, social distance required, all of the equipment is fully covered, the staff is fully covered with masks/plastic shields/gloves and they’re constantly cleaning and sanitizing everything used In the office. I felt so safe during my appointment. Dr. Hosaka is always so lovely and very professional. The staff is super friendly.

New Patient, very comfortable experience, was greeted by everyone upon coming in. Was offered a coffee while I was filling out my insurance information. Very professional staff, including the doctor who was very helpful - provided a free pack of eye drops upon mentioning occasional dry eye. Moises was my optician, knew exactly what kind of frames my wife and I could use. They even provided a copy of the Harvard study done on electronic blue light upon request. Very thorough explanation of frame and lens options.

Ive been coming here since 2006. I always love coming here. The service is great and the machines are always the best available. Dr. Hosaka knows his stuff and keeps up to date with the newest technology and info. The staff is also fantastic. They always are willing to help me out and even order me frames from the catalogs so that I can try them out. They run lots of specials and also have giveaways throughout the year. They strive to make it a fun experience and listen to what their customers have to say. Their eye exam is also pretty painless. Gone are the days of the air puff into your eyes and the blue numbing eye drops. I never minded either too much but now I dont even have to deal with them. I would recommend this shop for Rx frames, sunglasses, and contacts. They have a pretty big selection for being a smaller place. I recommend Eddie and Moses for helping you pick out frames.

Great customer service. Everyone was super friendly and willing to help. I actually had bought a pair of weak metal rimless frames (which I discovered they later discontinued) and they were kind enough to provide me a new set of frames, while we just paid the difference. I was very impressed with the professional and friendly environment they set up for all the customers.I will say that the wait times can be long, however, and that the glasses with the new prescription I received had an initial adjustment period that was much longer than those that I experienced before.

Probably the best eye care facility Ive ever been to. Not only are the they attentive and professional, but its also apparent that they really care about their patients. Every concern Ive ever voiced has always been tended to (and almost always completely remedied). And I have to give a special shout-out to Moses and Eddie, who have always given me exceptionally amazing service- making me laugh, giving me the best deal they could, and great eye care tips every visit. I had a good experience here. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Hosaka explained the results of my eye exam and answered my questions. I did wait about 30 mins between getting set up in the exam room and seeing the Dr., but the waiting room was busy when I got there, so that wasnt a big deal.

This place makes me feel very comfortable. Every time Im in the office it feels as they truly care for every single patient and thats a great feeling. Doctors are very easy to approach and you clearly understand everything they tell you!

Great selection. The office staff is super friendly and picked out great frames for me. They are very knowledgeable, and they didnt pressure me into making a decision the first time I went in. They just made me a file, noted which frames I liked. The whole staff helped me pick out the frames I wanted and the labs they use are top of the line, not just glasses in an hour cheap labs.

Poor customer service. I made an appointment then they tell you that if you need to cancel that you have to cancel before same day. Then mention that you have to cancel before 48 hours. I told them that they should just say cancel before same day because the 48 hours comment give them 24 more hours for them to collect the $25 cancelation feeVanessa the office manager said that she was going to cancel my appointment cause me asking these questions was TOO MUCH. Said that she didnt care cause she was the office manager and I would not be able to speak with any other person. I told her how this was completely out of line considering I was clarifying the information given and would be reporting this to the better business bureau.Avoid this optometrist office like the plague. They are only interested in making money. Another receptionist gave me wrong insurance copay quotes as well and tried to just sell me premiere progressive lenses saying the all her customers got them. Then I asked her again she said 75%There are so many better locations in the Torrance area. Masion Optique is prob the best and most professional. I would even recommend costco optical
