Super long wait. Youll spend more than one hour just for the eye exam. They arent gonna call you at your appointment time. Just be sure you have plenty of time rest of the day. Im giving two stars because staffs are very nice.

Best eye doctor I’ve ever been too! The staff in the office are all so nice and have always been super helpful and when they checked my eyes over I actually felt for once I was given the right prescription! Any other eye doctors I have been to I still felt like I couldn’t see that well or something felt uncomfortable with my contacts but I left there being able to see clearer than I ever have and with no strains or discomfort on my eyes! Doctor Do is not only attentive to my eyes needs he checked over multiple times to make sure everything was correct and comfortable not to mention he’s hilarious and super nice!!! Definitely will never go to any other eye doctor except him ! Totally recommend this office ! Everyone was amazing !

Merry Christmas!!! Just finished our yearly visit to see Dr. Alexander and staff at Torrance Optometry. Although the holidays are a busy time, we look forward to our visit talking to the doctor while she performs an efficient exam. The office is attentive and helpful with all of our requests throughout the year.

I have been coming here for a few years now and have always been happy with our experience. My young daughters are comfortable with Dr. Yu during their exam so they actually look forward to their appointments. Thanks to my sister who recommended this office. The doctors are all very nice and thorough! Both my daughter and I go here for out yearly eye exams. They are so patient with my 7 year old. She was super nervous the first time going to the eye doctor but they eased her mind and now she loves going to the eye doctor! They have a great selection of glasses for kids as well as adults. Highly recommend them.

Great, thorough service. It is evident that they enjoy what they do. The doctor took the time to explain my diagnosis and how recent changes trended wrt past visits, helping me understand my eyes better. My visits here have always been excellent experiences.

Dr Do is. My eye doc. He’s a can-Do doc.He’s awesome. Knows his stuff and takes his time with you. Makes you feel very comfortable and explains things very well.The staff is also awesome. Very very nice and helpful. Never rude like some medical places can be.Most importantly they do their billing correctly. They don’t double dip like so many medical facilities do. Charge you first then bill the insurance. They don’t do that.Two thumbs up.👏

I have been going to this optometry for many years. To this day I still love this optometry more than any of the ones Ive been to in the past. Everyone is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. Not to mention I always loved the music they played sometimes in the waiting room. I’ve been coming to Torrance Optometry for over 8 years and really can’t imagine going anyplace else. Dr. Yu is so patient and kind. He answers any and all questions I may have and really spends his time making you feel comfortable and knowledgeable regarding any changes to your vision. The staff is also very friendly and efficient in scheduling appointments and helping you to get the most out of your current vision insurance plan. This was my first time going to Torrance Optometry and it was great! Everyone was friendly and helpful, and they were very open about what one’s insurance covers and what it doesn’t. No tricks! The optometrist I saw was Dr. Alexander and not only was she friendly, but she has been the first eye doctor I’ve met who actually thoroughly discussed the results with me (not the ol’ “here’s my findings, now go pick some glasses” routine). I highly recommend Torrance Optometry!

She made a stressful situation very comfortable for all involved.The grandkids have moved away but Dr. A still asks about them when I go in.They provide a family service and the staff make you feel like you are part of their family when you are there.The staff knows your name and makes you feel at home.

I moved from Torrance 2.5 years ago and I still make the drive out for Dr. Alexander! She’s the most thorough optometrist I’ve had. Very knowledgeable when I decided to go through with LASIK. I never feel rushed.

We have been coming here for years, the staff and doctors are very friendly and honest. The frame prices are reasonable as well. Recently my son broke the temple of his glasses they we kind enough to get is fixed for us and didn’t charge us anything as well to get glasses replaced.

Several years after my laser surgery, I figured out that my amazing eyesight maybe wasnt as amazing as it could be when my friend was driving through a condo complex up in Mammoth and was able to read the numbers better than I could - from the side of the car that was further away. So I decided to sign up for my companys vision care plan, then searched for a doctor nearby who accepted it. My search led me to Torrance Optometry (which is literally walking distance from my house,) and to Dr. Yu, who happened to be the one who was available at a time that worked for my first appointment.I have now been a patient of Dr. Yu for several years (maybe more than 10?), and I could not be happier! His experience with laser surgery was similar to my own, and he explained why the conservative approach of my surgeon was a good approach. Most of the time, I dont require glasses, but I have a pair to help out when sharp distance vision is important, such as driving at night in an unfamiliar area, watching a movie or stage play, or when needing to read too small print on a power point presentation. Im now 42, and we both agree that I dont need reading glasses - yet. I love the way that Dr. Yu takes the time to explain things to me and answer all of my questions. And when my prescription doesnt change noticeably from year to year, he tells me that he doesnt think I need new lenses. I get the feeling that Dr. Yu loves his job.On another note, I dont think Ive ever had to wait long, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

My family had been going to this optometrist for many years. A few years ago when I started needing reading glasses I also came here and received very good service and attention. But the last few visits which have now been a couple of years ago started to decline to the point of me becoming extremely dissatisfied.The problem started with the last pair of progressive lenses I was attempting to get. When the prescription first came back I couldnt see as good as with my old glasses. When I expressed my concern about this, I felt like Dr Yu blamed me for the problem saying that he would adjust the prescription because I didnt LIKE what he made for me. It wasnt that I didnt like it, I simply expected them to give me proper vision.Anyway, they tried again. When I got the new pair I took them to work for the first day and then thought there was a smudge on the lenses. I do graphics work and my vision is extremely important and little blur spots are a big problem. I cleaned and cleaned the section that had the smudge and then I realized there was etched writing right in my field of view! I understand that progressives have writing on them, but the etching blurred my vision where my old ones did not. When I brought this up to the doctors intern, I was informed that this was just the way they were.I objected and they said they would try it again. When I was given back the new pair, they were etched exactly the same way and had the exact same problem. I was not informed or spoken to about this and I concluded they simply didnt care and were satisfied to blow me off. Well, that is where I decided it was time to take my business elsewhere. I was very surprised at the treatment I received especially after so many years.

Ive been going to this optometry for about 10yrs now. The ladies at the front have always been great specially Lety, but my last 2 visits have not been as pleasant as the ones in the past I feel like my eye doctor is always in a rush, now I know for a fact they are a busy location but I just dont think you should rush off you patients the way you do, I feel like they rush the exam and just everything seems very rushed, to the point where I didnt feel they had gotten my prescription right. Today I went to another doctor, got my eyes checked and the prescription was wayyy off. In the past I LOVED this place but now I just dont know if I can deal with the service the doctor provides. She always seems rushed and its just not a good feeling. I will be taking my business else where.

My children and I just switched to Dr. Doe & Dr. Yu after seeing another eye doctor for over 10 years. I am so pleased I made the switch. Dr. Doe was great with my kids and Dr. Yu helped me get the correct prescription. They are thorough, patient and very helpful. My other eye dr was only out to make a buck & these Dr.’s seem to be concerned about their patients well being. I highly recommend Dr. Doe & Dr. Yu.

I have been seeing Dr. Yu for 15+ years. Even when I moved to Oregon and California I would schedule eye appointments when I visited CA. Dr. Yu is great and I hope he never retires. Keep up the great job! Next appt July 2nd when I visit CA for the summer.

Awesome staff and Doctors. I went in for a painful bump I had on my eye. This time I saw Dr. Yu. Not sure if some of these reviewers visited the same place, but I can tell you they take their time in taking care of all patients. I actually had to wait for a bit to be seen. I didnt mind that at all since Id appreciate the same attention when its my turn. Everyone seems to be impatient these days and just need to chill out. I was actually surprised at a review I saw about Dr.s rushing patients. Are you sure we were at the same clinic??? Whether you see Dr. Alexander or Dr. Yu (my go tos), rest assured theyll take care of your needs. Be prepared to ask a lot of questions so that you will be better informed, and assist in your care decision making. Props to everyone at Torrance Optometry. See you at next check up!! :-)-HK
