Great place friendly people. One of the guys that works there wrote a book if I remember correctly but he is a super help. If your looking for something he will know were its at. But all the other people are great too just I feel he goes the extra mile to help you and loves his job. Wish I remembered his name so you could ask for him by name. I think he wore glasses . Anyways great place very friendly people.

I love this store! They have such a large variety of books, manga and magazines. Ive never been a fan of all these digital books. Nothing is quite the same as having books in your hands. The staff is friendly and quick to help you locate what you need.

My wife and I stop in at BAM every time were in TC. Having grown up with stores like Waldenbooks and Barnes and Noble, we appreciate any and all book stores in our area -- especially those who have a coffee shop inside.I only wish that they had more C.J. Box books on hand... I always zip right through them.

Love this place many different kinds of books and a good place for manga. Also a section for the kids

I used to love Bam but everytime I go there I avoid buying anything so I dont have to be asked a million questions at the checkout. I dont think that the money for the membership they offer is worth the savings unless youre spending a ton of money there. Just my opinion.

Love everything about this place, especially since you can buy or bring a book and just walk over to the cafe right there by the bathrooms and sit and read while there. Also has tons of board games and accessories, like collectibles and art.

OMG I walked in just to look around and ended up spending a ton in there. I love books and they had some I have not seen in other stores!!!

Horrible is the best way I can describe my experience. I placed an order on Jan 30, 2021 and here it is Feb 27, 2021, no books. I called on the Feb 22, customer service said UPS/USPS lost the order and were putting in a replacement order; still havent seen a shipping confirmation. I see why people order through Amazon, these guys are clowns.

Great bookstore! They have everything and at a decent price. Joined the rewards program at a discount and already ordered a book.

Eclectic selection of books, toys, games and other media but the aside from items in the bargain section, the prices were nothing to write home about.

Tried to have a nice time out with my wife looking for some books. Ended up being rudely asked by an employee to pull up our masks (Nobody else was anywhere around us). So rather than buy local we put out books back and bought online.

Great and friendly staff. Something about the smell of a bookstore is so relaxing.

With the bathrooms were cleaner and dining area was cleaner. Excellent staff.

Very nice big store. Spent over two hours in there just looking around. They had such a great selection of items and books it was hard for me to stop myself from over doing like I usually do. Definitely going back

Quick in and out trips usually. I would like to have seen the cafe have an option for Gift Cards separate from bookstore. Gift cards work at both but, still would be nice to have that separate.

Got 3 brand new books for 10$. Only looked outside on the sale racks

Great, I dont live anywhere near here but I went here on vacation. Honestly its just as good if not better than Barnes and Noble. This store is huge and has a very large variety of almost anything you could imagine.

Prices are kinda high, but good variety of gift items. Bought a gorgeous pair of earrings for6.99 for my daughter for Christmas

Nice store. Huge with many different things to choose from, but when I went to check out, i didn’t want to buy a rewards membership and that seemed to make the young man working the cash register pretty upset, and his whole demeanor changed from pleasant to annoyed. Then, I accidentally mistyped my card pin, and I thought it told me to remove the card out of the reader, so I did. Well apparently I wasn’t supposed to, and it made the computer shut off and reboot. The cashier was pretty rude about it, and and had me move down to the next cashier, and then proceeded to repeat why the computer crashed to every person that walked up, to the point where a lady had to tell him that she already heard him and he didn’t need to repeat it, as it is a very quiet store. I feel the tone of the cashier was very unnecessary and he didn’t even seem to care how rude he was being. I apologized many times, and felt really bad for pulling out my card when I apparently shouldn’t have, but I also almost started crying and almost threw my stuff and walked out because he made me feel terrible, and stupid, and also like I did something way worse than just pulled my card out of the card reader.

The worker with super cool dark hair and necklaces deserves a raise. 10/10 service in the cafe.

WOW what a beautiful place. The store is easy to maneuver through and find your treasure! Theyre not just a book store! They have areas of the store for special gifts, greeting cards that are so unique and beautiful, game section, jig saw puzzles an area to sit down and read with a cup of coffee, hot cocoa and a cookie or muffin. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The area with the books marked down is huge. Its not just a single table. You have to see this place for yourself, its great!

Very friendly employee, I dont believe he told me his name, but he was so sweet he gave me multiple recommendations and was overall very helpful. The store was organized, clean, and overall inviting, when I come into town again I will definitely be visiting BAM again.

Some of their staff is amazing and some are clueless tools. Some deals to be found but lots of stuff isnt really a deal. Just another premium price book store for the most part with a paid membership program they push hard.

Staff could be more courteous

The younger cashier (male) was amazing and helped my son decide on which rubix-like puzzle to get and gave us detailed information on the product. We ended up buying it and my son hasnt stopped playing with it! If my childs happy, Im happy, so thank you!

Customer service needs improvement at this location. Extremely intolerant of those with medical reasons for not wearing masks.

Decent selection of books, and other odds, and ends. I went in to get some books by Raymond E. First, and they only had a few of his books in store (I dont blame them for that hes not as popular as he once was). But their young adults section is awesome!

I know its a big box store but I really like Books-A-Million. The staff is friendly and not very pushy unless you dont have a rewards card. they have a lot of books that are a great bargain and some that tend to be a little pricier than they should be. The coffee shop that they have inside is pretty decent moderately priced and good for a quick cup of Jo as you peruse all the different books on the shelves. They also have novelty toys a whole kids section and some audio books as well. All in all not a bad place to go if you love reading or want to expand your horizons.

Wish their used book section was a bit larger. Did find some great books I have been watching out for at a great deal tho! Very helpful and fun staff in this location for sure.Thanks again everyone!😁

They have a good selection of manga and dungeons and dragons books 5th editon.

For a book store they need to have a way for me to look up and be able to order something they dont have on the shelf.

Wonderful store. Manga. Board games. Novels. Toys. A cafe to sit and read in. I’d imagine this is a great place for locals to go for some take-home entertainment during those Michigan winters.

Great book store with a cafe and a friendly staff. We come here often. My only suggestion would be to cut back on the up sales at the register like magazine freebies that probably lead to mass marketing, etc. Great store overall and well keep returning.

Its a big bookstore; whats not to love? Amazing selection, employees were enthusiastic and nice (but werent aggressive which I appreciate as an anxious introvert), and the store was clean and well organized. I really enjoyed my trip and together we had three generations shopping and we were all delighted. Store was open enough for me to navigate which is appreciated as I have mobility issues and use a cane or walker. Either would not be an issue navigating with the floorplan. Something for everyone with really unique items. I will return and next time Ill definitely hit up the cafe since it looked like they had some delicious options. Loved it!

Great selection, particularly for children. Very well organized and easy to navigate. Found all of the section and items I wanted with ease. Great coffee as well and kind and helpful associates.

Jackie was a great barista. Quick and fast and always with a smile, some of the newer guys give what you want, but she went above and beyond sad to see her go. Great coffee, smoothies bomb af, more than worth a visit, very underrated for a cafe.

Big box Book stores are becoming a thing of the past and while BAM seems to be taking steps to stay relevant in the world of online book sales it seems like a desperate reach of a suffocating behemoth. Selection at this location is appropriate, containing many classics and popular selections. Where BAM loses many marks is in their point of sale routines, excessive question for consumers about signing up for magazines or membership cards leave a sour taste in the mouth as the customers last interaction at the store is often saying no repeatedly to the cashier.

Great selection! Why all the toys? Im trying to get my children into reading and thats the last thing the want when there are rows of toys.

OKAY. Seating area is not cozy. Chair legs need padding to eliminate noise and easier arranging. Service is great.

Brought the grandkids just before Christmas. We had wonderful Hot Cocoa and I let them pick out a few books. Nice clean organized store with friendy staff.

I LOVE bookstores. They have a great staff. The treats are wonderful. I gave only 4 stars because I love audiobooks and that section is diminished IMHO. You can buy used movies AND trade in your old ones. ..great idea.

My favorite place in Traverse City. I hit up BAM! every single time Im in town. They sell much more than books and their coffee shop is really good too. Also, they have a really good clearance section. Great place to buy Christmas gifts.

I love this place!! Its perfect for all book nerds, they have every genre and have new books as soon as they are released! They also have other crafty items and posters, ect. Everything you need and will love if youre a nerdy book person!

Went in for a cup of coffee and walked out with an armload of books. Liked this place better than other chain bookstores. The bargain section really was just that. We were browsing for what must have been hours.

Very friendly workers at the cafe and our cashier Tyler my friends were buying Harry Potter stuff we talked about our patronus and he had a turtle made jokes with us very nice

Its just like a BAN, you can get a membership and everything. They have a great selection, a coffee shop and really friendly staff. If I lived closer Id be there all the time, but I always go when Im in TC.

Ordered a book to have it shipped to my granddaughter for her birthday. The gentleman who assisted me was very courteous and knowledgeable. I already have received notices that my book was already shipped. Great Service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend this bookstore.

Its usually very busy in here, but the staff is always very helpful and I almost always find exactly what I want. Their selection of books, magazines, maps, etc...is fantastic! Also, the cafe is amazing! I love the coffee here and coming here is always very relaxing.

Very similar to barnes and noble bookstore but with a more down home hospitality method. It seemed more friendly and welcoming than the barnes and nobles that I have been to. They have coffee and seating as well
