Went today with my dad and his friend. Went to get a shot at the bar and it was also my birthday. The bartender asked if we wanted that chilled and I made a joke at my dad about him being old, the lady RIPPED my head off then pushed me a shot that just barely covered the bottom of the glass and gave my dad and his friend a full shot. Unprofessional, rude, and not acceptable. She really took the energy out of the day and the fun out of my birthday. So thank you to her!

Nice place. Challenging short course. Par 63 with 9 par 3s & 9 par 4s. 2 & 1/2 to 3 & 1/2 hours to play. Walk or ride. Greens and fairways are in good shape. Approaches and areas surrounding greens are well kept. Fairway rough is tough with many thin and bare spots. Keep it in the middle. Golf operations are run well, very professional staff with a small full service pro shop and a driving range. Also included is a full service bar & restaurant.

Very disappointing. This course in not what it used to be at all. Three years ago, it was in the best shape I had ever seen it in since I began golfing there regularly in 2011-2012. Since the new management took over about two years ago, the course conditions have not been the same. The greens are hard and cut too short. I was there last weekend and they were more brown than green. This is the second year in a row the fall overseeding has been subpar. Very thin overall. Where there is grass on the fairways its very thin, and generally cut too short. The tee boxes are in terrible shape.I brought up my complaints last spring to the staff and ultimately to the general manager, Brent Lingel. The staff member (golf professional) I initially brought my complaints to was extremely dismissive, to the point of being condescending. That ultimately led to my conversation with Brent. Brent gave me a free round that day, but generally was also very dismissive of my feedback. Very little has changed since. Id give this course 3 stars at best, but for this review Im only giving it 2 stars due to the lack of any enforcement of county health orders (see below). For the same green fee, the conditions are better at another course in the area that I will now be going to now instead. Its a shame, because this used to be a gem of a course. Also, there is NO enforcement of Covid mitigation practices in and around the clubhouse and pro shop. Last Sunday when I was there, I watched a patron without a face covering walk right into the pro shop and wasnt challenged. Later, between the front and back nine in the restroom, I asked another patron there without a face covering where his mask was? He replied it was in his car and walked off. Thats the environment this management is allowing to exist in the midst of a very serious pandemic. Rolling Hills GC is NOT a safe environment right now. Go there at your own risk, and if you do try to enjoy greens that are like putting on asphalt.

St
Review №40

Worst place I have ever been at. Not only are the board completely incompetent with work ethics but they would rather serve you store bought produce and hotdogs and then sell you at a markup. They also are known for having people who are not maintenance or employees mess with the fire suppression foam in the kitchen and activated them. They refused to clean it up properly and decided to make food the very same day as the release of the foam. Absolutely no care to poison and get people sick for a few bucks.

Rolling Hills is an executive length course with a variety of challenges. I normally enjoy playing there. Today was busy and out of sync. Our foursome had to wait on nearly every tee box. Took over 4 hours. Admittedly we have had a couple weeks of less than ideal weather so everyone was itching to play. Perhaps another minute between tee times would smooth things out a bit.
