I usually get outstanding service at the Tumwater store… However… I needed to identify a bulb for a clip on lamp so I could buy online because the store didn’t have and probably wasn’t going to have the bulb in stock. I had my receipt so I could identify the lamp and ended up having the Hawks Prairie service desk solve my riddle. The Tumwater sales associate said the only way to solve the identification problem was for me to drive 20 miles to possibly identify a bulb not likely to be available. This person didn’t seem very willing to help or show any initiative. I always show appreciation for good service and I tip above standard but in this case I was disappointed with the service. I suspect if this is read by the manager, he will pass along the appropriate admonition. SW
This is one of the friendlier Home Depots I find myself in. The staff seems to know their stuff pretty well. Its got a great selection and you can usually find what you are looking for. The garden area is usually pretty good but they seem to struggle a little more than some stores in the area keeping plants looking fresh. I can usually find exactly what I am looking for.
