Great place to do business with. Could be a bit more price competitive compared to like businesses.
Great product, knowledgeable staff, good pricing, everything you can ask for in a supplier! I highly recommend!
We visited the Tumwater location this morning eager to purchase pavers for a long waited summer project. Lady ( I believe Jennifer is her name that is what was posted on her computer ) behind the counter was bothered by our presence . We were a huge inconvenience to her every question we had she answered abrasively and with an attitude. Rather than stooping down to her level my girlfriend encouraged me to walk out. I will not ever do business here Unprofessional customer service . Its unfortunate because the tacoma location was a total opposite experience. Ill shop else where.
Great customer service. Quick.
Always helpful and good service.
Great staff!
Such a great place with helpful staff. Purchase the slim brick from them.
This was my first visit to Mutual Materials. Both Christina and Melinda? (sorry I am unable to recall her name), the ladies in the front office, were very kind and helpful to me. Christina explained their process to me and showed me what types of flagstone are available.Melinda (?) came out of her office to assist me with paying my bill, when I returned from the quarry with my load, as Christina was assisting another client.I will definitely return to Mutual Materials for more product in order to complete the walkway I am constructing from my front porch to my driveway. Since I dont want to overload the trunk of my Honda Accord I just took 325 lbs on this visit. It will probably take 3 or 4 more trips to complete my project, but I dont mind....Mutual Materials isnt that far from where I usually shop on the west side anyway.
At the office everyone is so polite ‘ and they will help you to find right stuff for your project ‘ Jennifer she is an awesome person ‘ she is the best ! Always ready to help people
Best place around for hardscape projects. Office staff is cheerful and helpful. All around, a very professional business.
Beautiful pavers but poor display and indifferent staff
Great place to buy hardscape products and supplies
Avoid Mutual Materials in Olympia and go to PSP (Professional Stone Products) down the street where they actually want your business.Summary (details below): The two ladies in the office obviously dont want to help you. To be frank, theyre lazy and its too much of an effort to get out of their chair and help you. They dont want to answer your questions, and they will make it obvious by huffing and puffing. Also, I was scoffed at when I left (read below). I am down $50, but they will be down a few thousand with the property/home renovations Im doing in the next 5 years.Details: I went to Mutual Material to buy either SB 6000 or SB 4000, a finish for natural stone. I had a lot of questions about what product would be right for me. They didnt know, and they didnt want to make an effort to find out the answers. There was some huffing and puffing, like I was bothering them, or asking for something unreasonable. They gave me an SB 6000 brochure, but said they couldnt find the SB 4000 brochure. They didnt point me in the right direction, and most importantly they didnt tell me they had samples. They made it SO VERY OBVIOUS that they didnt want to help me, like I was bothering them, I cant say that enough. It was OBVIOUS I didnt know what product was right. My initial impression was, Wow, these people dont want to help me. I thought they might just be having a bad day, So I gave them the benefit of the doubt. So I bought SB 6000, thinking I can test out a couple sprays (their was no tamper seal) and that I can return it. Well.... you cant return it, which I understand, but I would NOT have bought it if I knew they had samples, again, my uncertainty was obvious because I specifically said things like, I dont know what product would be best for ledgestone. Whats the difference between the 4000 and the 6000? Will the 6000 be glossy? etc. I can I give any more queues that I need a samples!? I mean, really? So I test out SB 6000, it was too glossy, so I return to Mutual Materials to take it back and because I used it, the owner said he cant resell it, understandable. He even offered a discount on SB 4000. So I politely and non-confrontationally informed the owner of my interaction with the two ladies up front (what I typed above). And they scoffed at me as I walked out the door, you know the look, mouth open, one eye squinted, head shaking, with a scoffing sound, as in unbelievable.Again, lazy employees who dont really care about your questions, dont really care about your business, they wont give you info on their products, they will make it obvious you are bothering them, they wont inform you that they have samples. Just a bad experience, maybe its isolated, regardless, I wont be going back, and I will tell my friends the same.
