I like the idea of supporting a local owned business. They have several locations but this appears to be the largest one Ive been to. It is two stories of books new and used. Having a cart was a nice touch and the staff was friendly. Are you a book lover? They also give you trade in credit on your old books. 📒📓📔📕📖📗📘📙📚📑

Before I retired I never had time to enjoy reading but now that I am it has quickly become my favorite hobby. Gottwals has a wonderful atmosphere with a knowledgeable staff. I typically spend 30-45 minutes here just browsing. Thank you Gottwals for helping me discover a new passion.

I really enjoy this store. Usually I go in to browse, but the staff is very friendly and helpful when you are looking for specific titles. They can search other stores, as well, to find your book. While there, I could hear the staff calling customers to tell them they found their book and several times they were calling to tell them they found it at a discounted price & were refunding them some money! Its a great resource for teachers, tutors, home-schoolers and book lovers. Its also the perfect spot for purchasing books for special occasions and holidays.

Well laid-out, well organized, huge selection, and a store-credit program? I like this place more than most new bookstores.

Ive always really liked Gottwals. They always have such a good selection of books and at a great price.

One of my favorite book stores and when they dont have a book they will call their nearby stores and see if they have it.

This was our first visit to the bookstore we browsed around, made and paid for our selections. At no time while shopping did any of the three cashiers offer to assist us, as we were leaving we decided to look around downstairs. While browsing one of the cashiers came hurring down as if to watch us. Little did she know there was a customer already downstairs shopping, without being watched, or intimated. She actually needed help and stopped the cashier to ask several questions. This was our first and last visit to this bookstore. Please treat everyone the same with decency and respect.

Love this place, the staff is super friendly! If you are looking for a specific book I would call ahead first, they have called around and found books for me and either hold them at another location or get it sent to their store, or special ordered it for me. They go above and beyond and it is such a cool book store 😍 .

I like there set up. I like a good set of the collection of random books they have. However, I do have an issue with the fact that they discriminate against anything that is non-Christian unless it is a fiction story. They consider everything else to be new age and that paganism is the same as occult. They recommend going to books a million. Apparently, Buddhism is the same as Satanism and Hinduism and Judaism etc. I had really high hopes when I walked into the store and proceeded to put every book down and leave following the last interaction I had. Mind you, I had found easily a dozen books of interest. I simply can not support a store that discriminates against others.

Love the amazing variety of new and used books available to purchase. Also enjoy the great selection of unusual gifts. This visit I especially liked the big selection of Christmas books grouped together for easy shopping.

Tried to find some used kids books at a decent price. Nonexistent at this place. I even saw kids books that had the Ollie sticker ripped off and they were priced double the amount. You can get them from ollies for usually $3 or less. Way overpriced.

Beautiful, new, expanded location! 2 floors of lightly used and brand new books, toys, educational tools, school supplies, and many more things to inspire learning. They also have a used book trade program that is quick and convenient. My 3 yr old loves the new kids section and often meets a new friend while shes there. In a world where everything is online, it is great to have a place to nurture the love of real books. ❤

This place is a book lover on a budgets dream come true!!! They have a massive selection!!I can not say enough about this amazing local owned bookstore!! The prices are excellent on their used books! I picked up a hardback book for $6.97 and we all know hardbacks are $30 new.The staff are all friendly and helpful. I definitely need to mention how phenomenal Katelyn was, she helped find the titles I was on the hunt for and put in for the books to be transferred there from there other stores that she didn’t have on hand. She was such a huge help since I had my three kiddos with me that I was helping pick out books with!They also have some toys the kids can play with in the children section which was an added plus. My five year old loved being able to push our books around a little while I was still browsing their Selections.

I absolutely love this bookstore! Theres books from wall to wall & 2 floors of books! If youre a reader then you have to check this store out! Theyre prices are beyond reasonable, a brand new book costs anywhere from $7 to $9 dollars! They have a trade in program, you can get books with a sticker on the back of them and theyll give you store credit to buy more books! The ones with stickers gets you more store credit but you can also trade in books without stickers. Well worth the trip to get great books & other items! Check it out soon! 💙💙💙

I love this bookstore!!! I could spend hours roaming the bookshelves. Traded in my books for a great deal and bought some new ones for amazingly low prices. Two floors of books makes for tons of finds, and I personally love the book related apparel and trinkets. I recommend this bookstore to everyone!! :)

I like it. Had trouble with their organization set up..but that could just be customers walking around and changing their minds and putting a book just anywhere.

We usually go to Gottwals in Macon but the Warner Robins store is amazing! The staff is very helpful. The only problem was that my kids wanted to buy all the books. If you need a book, dont pay full price. Call Gottwals. They can order and do bulk orders for teachers.

We have so few bookstores of any kind, nearby, and this is an inviting, well stocked store with friendly employees wearing masks.

I should probably open up my own seeing as how much time and money I spend in these stores as is. So, you trade in your books to get credit with Gottwals. You buy books from them and can return them for even more store credit if they still have the Gottwals sticker on them. The credit you have pays for 50% of your final total and you pay the rest. Its one of the best things in the world.

Great, small bookstore for used and new books. Also offers store credit for book trade ins. All in all, its a much better option than any of the larger chain bookstores and the staff here make all the difference.

There arent many independent local bookstores left. Im glad Gottwals is coming through the COVID storm. Great selection, and if they dont have it at the location you visit, theyre glad to quickly check all their other locations. Staff are unfailingly helpful, and friendly without the smarminess taught by some big retail chains. Very happy with Gottwals!

They didnt have what I was looking for but they where very helpful. They told me they could order it for me.

I can’t believe I just discovered this place after almost 2 years of living here. I bought 4 books today for the price of one book I’d get at BAM or Barnes and Noble. They’re even cheaper than Amazon.Their prices are amazing! And you can return them after you’re done for 50% credit toward more books. They also give military discount! It’s a cute and cozy store with such a variety of books.

The only thing I dont like is the way the books r arranged by author, rather than broken down by genre. Otherwise a great place 2 buy 📚

This is a great place to buy and trade used books. Sometimes they also have new books/new releases. The staff are always super friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help you. They will track down books at other stores of theirs and get it to the location you need it at for no extra charge. Highly recommend.

Not terribly thrilled with the selection but the staff were helpful and polite. I realize that this is the Bible Belt but does every local business have to play Christian music? It doesn’t really invite one to linger and browse. After a bit I just got tired of hearing it and left.

While Ive never called regarding the whereabouts of a book, Ive heard many customers pleased with the quick response of the staff. This location (the original) is the best!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Store is a little cramped, but thats simply a result of the staff doing the best they can to keep a large selection of books available. Tends to not have newer books except for extremely popular authors.

We always find most hard to find books. When we sell our old we are paid in credits to use toward buying other books.
