This place is a gem! Well worth a side trip from Whole Foods or Stop and Shop to load up on fresh, bargain priced spices and other Indian food supplies. The spices I bought for my curries were all super fresh (use by September 2023). Lots of fresh produce as well. Opens early on Sundays (9 AM), so I can fit a stop in before Costco opens at 10. Very clean store run by family proprietors, easy parking. Well worth a visit!

Great finding for Samosa and homestyle food around Hartford. Went there for grocery but the food and sweets were the main attraction.

I lost my wallet in their parking lot, and a customer returned it to the store. The store owners were very friendly, and were nice enough to hold onto my wallet until I was able to come get it. Very nice and honest people! Will continue to do business with them. God bless them and the customer who returned my wallet.

Good variety of Indian/Pakistani groceries along fresh vegetables. they have a kitchen and make indian food like chicken curry,daal,vegetables. Their samosas and pakoras are the best . They also have sweets.

Though its good place for Indian grocery, but I have encountered twice discrepancy in their billing practices. They added few items twice in your bill even thats not in your cart. Would request they should be more honest in their billing practices. So all make sure you check you receipt twice.Also at the counter folks can be more courteous to their customer.

This store has good selection of Indian goods. We visited it often on the way to Aldi/Stop&Shop. Some of their goods are expired, so check before you buy the packed goods(you can return them hassle free if you have the receipt). Their samosas are very good and must try if you visit the store.

I live more than an hour north of Hartford, in the Land of No Indian Markets, and was so happy to find Royal Indian Grocery when I was in town. It is pretty small but carried all of the spices and staples I was looking for. Produce was very good. They have pooja supplies, ready-to-eat food for takeout, and a case of sweets. Prices seemed about average- no complaints. Small but ample parking lot. Located on a main road with many other stores, less than a mile from the highway exit. Easily seen on approach. Located on one level with no steps; aisles are narrow, particularly the produce aisle, but I would call this store wheelchair accessible. The store is clean and staff were pleasant and helpful. I will definitely return.

Great south east central Asian selection! Spices, fresh produce and delicious hot food bar that serves up a delicant samosa! Curries and sabzhi fry a tad bit spicy for general consumption but if youre used to that wonderful zing of chili peppers surely a great quality

There is a good selection of authentic Indian cooking ingredients here. Ive also received some advice about preparing some of the dishes I was going to make, which was appreciated. They also have a small frozen food section for those of you who would rather just get something and put it in the microwave.

Ive only recently discovered how amazing Off course it is a good Indian grocery store .They have fresh vegetables . I even saw Jack fruit, whole or cut to 1 lb pieces as well. I love India Grocery for that.

I just started going here but this place is funky the music is going they have videos they have amazing fresh cooked food and everything I need that is natural and good for your body now I dont have to go all the way to Farmington Avenue

I really wanted to like this store. Unfortunately, I was put off by the amount of flies in the vegetable section. There are many flies (large and small) all over the vegetables. I am rather surprised since the store is new, so the amount of flies is worrisome. The other thing that put me off was the high prices. For example, the ready made box foods are $1 more expensive than they are at the other grocery stores.

You can find authentic Indian food and sweets. Well stock and the samosa is good here.

Conveniently located between Walmart and Stop and Shop this is a good place to buy Indian grocery items. They also sell ready-made pakodas and samosas which are delicious. They dont accept credit card for purchases under $10.

It is one of the expensive of all the indian stores in thr area. I was told by other people but I did not believe until I did the comparison and recently I got Rakhis from Royal and they were 3 times the price I got same rakhis ftom Om foods and also saw same rakhis in Cosmos they were $2.29 and in Royal they were $5.99 and vadilal Icecream stocks is 99 cents in other stores here its double. These are just two examples. If they dont reduce their prices I am sure people will stop going to this store.

Prime location for pakistani, indian and desi ingredients. Frozen meats are halal. You get a good variety with out travelling far away. Everything appears fresh

This grocery store has a good selection of Indian grocery/prepared/frozen foods. They have most of the major brands of spices & spice packets, so you can either mix your own spice blends, or use the big brands (Deep, Shan, etc.) pre-made spice packets. Also a good selection of frozen foods, both ready to eat meals, and Dosa, naans etc. They also have pre-made, microwaveable food for take-out.You definitely wont see the variety & prices of one of the larger Indian supermarkets in Hartford, but its very good for this area. Insides neat and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The quality of food us really bad . They sell expired stuff and sone of the snacks have bad odor of oil. Their prices are twice when compared to other indian stores.
