I enjoy going to The Crown Market. The deli selection is very good. The Crown Market tuna salad is very tasty. The meat department always has a good selection of kosher poultry and beef. Recently, I tried The Crown’s vegetarian lasagna. It is magnificent! I hope they continue to make the vegetarian lasagna. Try it, you’ll love it!

My kids are never happier than when I tell them that were going to The Crown! Of all the Jewish establishments in town, The Crown is the one that has most consistently improved life for Jewish people over the past decade or more. They have continually offered more and more kosher options, worked tirelessly to bring people the products and services they desire and they have done all of this while maintaining the deeply personal and local feeling that has made generations of Hartfordites LOVE The Crown. They offer deli, pizza, sushi, delicious baked goods, amazing sandwiches and wraps, amazing bagels, expertly cut meats and top-notch produce.I applaud them for the way that they have continued to evaluate and reevaluate the needs of this town and, in so doing, made themselves an indispensable part of the community they serve!

This is a great place to shop pricey, but good. All the workers that I asked for assistance has been pleasant and helpful. The food is delicious and their chicken is to live for!! I go there often for their lemon pie its the best. Stop in when you are in town and you will be glad you did!

Terrific place for prepared meals to go or for their butcher shop. The Crown Market is a great grocery store and their to-go section has all your favorites. They are great for catering for holidays or special events.

Love their bagels, corned beef sandwiches. Great prepared/heat and eat food. Their tuna salad and cole slaw are the best. Been shopping there for over 30 years and have yet to be disappointed.

Good spot to get house made cream cheese, smoked salmon, lox, capers, and bagels. Everything you need for a NY loaded bagel. You can get 4 oz packets of salmon from chains but this is the only place Ive found 12 oz. Nice variety of cream cheese too

Plenty of employees who were all friendly and very helpful in finding/reaching items for me. Shelves are well stocked. Parking is ample.

Very impressive selection of kosher meat and poultry was available, both in terms of cuts and appearance. Considering that we got there less than an hour before they closed, we were pleasantly surprised. Hope what we bought tastes as good as it looks. Only saw a small portion of the market - going back is a must.

Our family has come to rely on the holiday dishes. Always flavorful and top quality. While we do utilize the out of town delivery, we find the drivers to be helpful and service friendly, a true extension of the Crown Market.

It is as good as it is expensive and so worth it. Of course everything is kosher. Dont tell Bubbe, but the prepared food is even better than she makes! Everything is delicious and service is outstanding.

Its an established Institution that hopefully Will Survive forever. Kosher deli at its finest. Im a complete fan of there Jewish rye bread. Even there Sushi was above average in quality. One of the few Jewish supermarkets in existence anymore. I will continue to shop there forever.

I like the crown market. Employees are very nice, helpful and the meats were fresh best place to buy kosher in Connecticut. The butcher gave me a fresh piece of brisket looks very good. I would recommend to people who keep kosher in CT.

I love shopping at the Crown. I live in Massachusetts and whenever I will be in the area I make sure to order what I want ahead of time. We have kosher stores near me but the food isn’t as good and the service is exceptional at Crown. I just put in an order at both the deli and the bakery for this weekend and can’t wait to pick up everything. I have never been disappointed.

Shop here a few times and you will feel like a member of the family. The personalized service is just the best. Every department goes out of its way to make one happy. Want a hot pastrami sandwich just the way you remember it? Go to the deli counter and order it. Just like the delis of yesterday! Want fresh cut kosher meat and poultry? Its there in the meat department; and the butcher will cut it just the way you want it. The Crown is a wonderful area-wide institution.

Absolutely amazing variety of fresh produce, deli and fresh cut meat! They also have a hot meal, salad and dairy selection. All products are kosher and serving is per kosher guidelines in regards to mixing product and switching gloves. Customer service is great, I live popping in for thier delicious buffalo chicken tenders

Lots of kosher items from fresh meat, poultry to dry goods, prepared foods and bakery. A full grocery store. Space to eat sandwiches and prepared foods at the front of the store. Remodeled and updated a few years ago. We live in Pennsylvania, but stop at Crown whenever we can. Plenty of parking.

I love this place, I remember when they opened. The selection has improved over time. The service is very good. Meat and dairy is separate as it should be however they allowed Yankees cookies to touch my Red Sox cookies.

Great tuna fish!

We go once a year to get Passover foods. We are never disappointed. The staff (same from year to year) are very helpful. They go out of their way to get you what you need. The meat department is ourstanding. They will get you what you need in the quantity you need it. They also hand out shank bones for the Seder plate!

Im so happy this place stayed open! Their renovations have really given the store a lot more visual appeal. Clean, friendly staff, and a great selection of quality food. Some of the stuff is tough to find in other stores. Their tuna salad, chopped liver and pretty much anything else you get there is incredible.

Great Kosher foods. Prices are pretty high, but you get what you pay for and along with the nostalgia, you will not regret shopping at The Crown. Update: February 20, 2017. The Crown has been completely remodeled since my last review. The store is GORGEOUS! They redid the floors with wide wooden/Pergo planks, as well as widening the aisles. The bakery is up front in the center which showcases all the mouth watering cookies, breads and pastries. They added a seating area as well so you can enjoy a sandwich, beverage and a drink right away. Great job Crown Market.

Crown is a very nice kosher market and deli. Seemed very clean and was well stocked and organized.

Great for quick trips and kosher meat. They also have a decent gluten free section which is always helpful. The prepared foods are great when you are in a rush or if your chef is out of town

Deli section was closed 45 minutes before store was scheduled to close. Many sections had been emptied. Staff seemed more than disinterested I helping me. I know people rave about The Crown, but I see no reason to go back.

!!!!! Becareful. My wife and I have always gone here to purchase a type of cake for our parties that we have a few times each year. Our nephew has severe food allergies with dairy and tree nuts, and others. The last time we went this past week the cake looked slightly different. We were assured it is the same ingredients and read the label to make sure and didnt see any difference. Had the party and sure enough, my nephew had an alergic reaction requiring an ER visit. Really? If you are going to sell a cake you really need to make sure you know your product. I will be contacting them as soon as they open today, Sunday.

The crown is not the grocery store it used to be. There are tons of very expensive prepared foods, produce thats ok and a small sampling of kosher foods. Plan on breaking the budget here.
