I have tried for a week to schedule an appointment. I have been hung up on twice on different days, once I was hung up on and they turned on the answering service so I couldn’t call back (this was 4:15 pm and they close at 5). I have also sat on hold for over 90 total minutes. Still no appointment. I’m sure the front office is under staffed or over worked, but still a 1 star experience.

I very rarely post reviews but I couldnt imagine someone else experiencing what I did at Associate ENT. On 4/12/21 I had an appointment with Dr. Zachs for sudden hearing loss and ringing in my ear that started when i woke up one day the previous week. Being in my mid 40s with no history and no other trauma to my ear you could imagine how horrible and confusing it would be to wake up and not hear, and have an intense ringing in my ear. Dr. Zack literally looked into my ear said i dont see anything and I didnt have an infection. When i asked about the ringing in my ear he said oh its tinnitus. When i restated that it was in one ear and just started one day and asked about the cause, treatment, etc he said there was not any. I was seen for maybe for 5min and dismissed. You could imagine my shock, it was clear he didnt really care nor was going to waste any time trying to figure it out. When i left i was disgusted by his treatment and also the front desk attendant Melissa who was extremely rude and cared just as little as Dr. Zachs. Fortunately, I felt something was wrong and made a call to UCONN ENT department who got me in immediately, the team was attentive, concerned, and listened to what i was going through. They ran me through several hearing tests, tested me for an infection, and several other test and committed to figure it out before I left. Which the did, I had a severe infection that if left untreated could have led to permanent hearing loss. Could you imagine? One day everything is fine, the next losing your hearing?? Apparently Associated ENT has lost there way in providing a caring service focused on properly diagnosing and treating there patients as well as providing an even worse customer service experience. I feel very fortunate for UCONN and that team but still disgusted by this experience. Save yourself the time, experience, frustration, and possibly the loss of your hearing by going to someone who cares.
