Solinsky was attentive to my needs as I was getting material together to have third party custom mold ear plugs and musician CIEMs made. They were easy to schedule with and had extremely reasonable rates. Highly recommended to anyone looking for these specific services!

I can not thank Solinksy enough for being patient with our insurance and staying on top of everything for us. This was the only center that would help us with my 5 year olds hearing aids after our insurance changed. The front staff were so nice and encouraging! And the audiologist was so patient with my very very active daughter. They were all really wonderful and helpful!

I had my first visit with Brianna the audiologist. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.Answered questions easily and explained differences in devices and offered her opinion. But the receptionist was not friendly seemed over taxed and impolite. I have given 5 stars based on my experience with the audiologist.

Great service with understanding and patience.Ben did a great job providing suitable hearing aids and a television adapter. My hearing loss is very distinct and required special programming of my aids which Ben made certain was done and I got the help I needed. Ben listened to me and answered all of my questions while making sure that I as the customer was in the driver’s seat.

I dealt with two of the audiologists and they were both excellent. I was able to get an appointment quickly and it was close to my home. I was going away for a month and they were able to expedite ordering my hearing aides and get them fitted to me before I left. I am really happy with the hearing aides and I can really hear the difference.

From the assistance that Solinski gave me in the selection of my Signia hearing aids to the help I have gotten to get the most out of those technically sophisticate hearing aids, I couldnt have gotten better service.

I think if youre going for hearing aids, which I was not, things will be fine. I went for Tinnitus, and the staff really had no idea what to do. No experience with it, no recommendations. I did have some information from another source and I asked if they could look into it for me. They said they would and told me theyd call. This was 2 years ago and Im still waiting.

I have to start with the receptionists, Xcellent (very patient and understanding) Dr. Colburn, Outstanding! :) I have been dealing with hearing aids for 50 years. Been to numerous hearing aid dealers (?) I visited Solinsky in West Hartford a couple years ago and I was blown away. I have never had a medical situation where I was looked after so promptly, so efficiently, and so courteously as at the SH Center where Mr. Taylor is the Specialist in Charge. Since I received my hearing aid only an hour ago I am not sure what kind of help I may need in the coming days but I am sure that I will get it expeditiously as long as Mr. Taylor is there.

It was a great experience getting hearing aids here. Dr Colburn is very personable and professional. This is my second time trying to get hearing aids. I went to a hearing doctor several years ago and the experience wasnt pleasant and the hearing aids were difficult to get working properly. I gave up. This time at Solinsky it was an easy process s with a skilled and professional audiologist.

The clinical doctor was very good explaining the process and conducting the test. I was taken very close to my appointment time, which is rare at doctor’s offices. In summary, a very good experience.

Hearing loss is one of the most ignored disabilities by individuals, the public in general, and by government agencies. After ignoring my hearing loss for years, I finally was fitted for aides in BOTH ears about 20 years ago. Since then, I’ve gone through 3 pairs and many different fittings/examinations. While my initial introduction to hearing specialists was good, none compare to the expertise and service I received recently from the Solinsky Hearing Center; more specifically, from Dr. Michelle Colburn. She is the most skilled audiologist that I’ve had the good fortune to encounter. In addition, to expansive background in her practice, Dr. Colburn’s “bedside” manner is exemplary. She demonstrates the most profound capacity to put her patients at ease through her calming demeanor and thorough explanation of the examination’s processes. What is usually a dreaded experience, turned out to actually make my day, and that of the hearing impaired friend I brought with me. Am so grateful I went to Dr Solinksy and his team for recommending a general audiology test with Dr. Colburn and that I took his advice even though my age demographic is reasonably young for hearing loss. I had thought my hearing was pretty good but knew it was not the same as it had been even ten years ago. The test revealed my hearing was declining and because I have followed the research being done regarding the possible connection between hearing loss and Alzheimers/dimentia, I figured the earlier I invested in the Oticon hearing aids, the better. The change in my life with this crystal clear hearing is remarkable. What I had not expected though was in this, my first winter with the Oticon aids, I was buoyant, energetic, and happy. While Seasonal Affective Disorder has not been much of a problem for me, the general winter gloom of gray days could get to me. With the Oticon aids, I had a truly joyful winter. Recently I had my one-year check up with Dr. Colburn, and she made minor adjustments based on my current hearing. She and her associate Adam Heath and her previus associate Briana, and Dorie in the office, who always has time and is so welcoming when when I come in to buy a new supply of batteries, etc, are the best team. I look forward to many years of their taking excellent care of my hearing! Thank you so much, Dr. Colburn.

I have been skeptical about hearing aids pushed by many organizations and had the misfortune to deal with a not so good company previously. However, I left the Solinsky office and my first meeting with Dr. Michelle Colburn feeling very happy. Of course when I returned for my fitting, evertything went very well and I can now hear! Michelle has the technical skills and human interaction skills which make dealing with her a pleasure, and you can be assured that she truely wants to help.

Dr. Colburn has an excellent understanding of profound hearing loss and other levels of hearing loss. She is very knowlegable about hearing aids and which one will assist with amplification in a variety of listening settings.She also has good flexibility with individual communication in terms of whether the Captel telephone that is amazing for the who can benefit or using Email, or a relay service.Her assistant,Vivian, is also wonderful to work with.I highly recommend recieving help from D.
