Like so many others have stated our family was looking for the old experience of the Williamsburg pottery when we were young children. They’ve updated it to a strip mall kind of feel. Only one of the buildings is open currently which is the largest one but it’s not fully stocked - some of the shelves and refrigerators were empty. The employees stated there was a plan to lease or sell the other buildings. I wish them the best and hopefully a strong bounce back. All the best Williamsburg pottery!

We loved the old pottery. Lots of very good deals and much larger inventory. The new pottery is like a strip mall. Even the restaurants in the old pottery were better. I am amazed this place is still in business. There are very few people in the buildings now.

I really miss the old Williamsburg Pottery. It was a quaint place to shop while in the area. The new place is okay. It is certainly more accessible being right off Richmond Road. It is new and modern but seems empty. Hopefully because it is new and COVID that the shelves are not full. They still have some unique items, but many other merchandise I could get them elsewhere. Hopefully they can survive to serve the areas for many more years.

For years, I thought the new Pottery was a letdown from other peoples word. However, after several years I finally went inside the new Pottery shops, and I was pleasantly surprised by the inventory, and most of all, the prices. The prices are amazing. I plan to go back more often. I would recommend anyone go here when they can.

Visited WP on 10-2-21 for the first time in many years. Wow, what a disappointment. The place was dead. Maybe a dozen cars in the parking lot. Apparently the change happened a while back. Hardly anything on the shelves. What the heck happened here? This used to be THE place to go in Williamsburg. They used to have huge crowds. It appears that the new design was not good. Looks like they tried to make it look like a French style marketplace. Looks like a major fail. The have signs up like La Patisserie or La Delicatessen but they have neither of those. So thinking they had a pastry shop in there somewhere due to the signage, I asked one lady where the pastry shop was. Her reply was just because the sign says we have it, doesnt mean we have it I found that hilarious. I got a good laugh out of that. She went on to explain how lots of folks come in asking for the pastry shop or delicatessen only to become angry when told those places do not exist there. Whats the point of having the signage to look like a French marketplace if its not? Thats kind of bizarre in my opinion. Maybe that was their downfall. Sort of like false advertising. Im sure online shopping and newer outlet malls helped bring about their downfall as well. Seems to me they tried to make it look like a mall like Short Pump Town Center or something. But with a French motif. They seemed to have too many folks working there for the handful of folks shopping there. The employees are lucky to have the jobs. I guess its good WP keeps them employed. The staff was nice enough. Ill give credit for that. Thats why WP got 2 stars instead of 1. What a shame that this is what WP has become.

Disappointed in selection but found some gems! I have shopped here for many years, especially when it was in the original location. Once they moved to their new and fancy stores it lost its charm. But whenever I was in Williamsburg I would stop by to see what type of specials I could find. This is what we did this time. However, only one of the new buildings was even open. The others were closed and empty. Selection was almost nonexistent. The only bright star in our visit was for plants. They had beautiful big plants out front at great prices. Not a very large selection but they looked really good. Most of them. I found some beautiful begonias and geraniums. When I got them home and took them out of the pots they all had nice healthy root systems. They were $3.99 with an additional 30% off. Great deal! But inside there was not much to choose from. Looking at their selection I would say theyre getting ready to close. Which is sad. It was always one of the highlights to go rambling through those old buildings looking for Treasures. The difference in foot traffic when they moved to the new buildings was astonishing. And the selection they carry even when four buildings were fully open was nothing compared to the original. This was one of the highlights in going to Williamsburg. Especially just before the Christmas holiday. Sad to see such a fun shopping tradition come to an end. Although store did not indicate it was closing, the future is not looking very bright. Hopefully, Im wrong.

Stopped by bldg A which is apparently always open. Very large store consisting of housewares, large porcelain pots for plants, Xmas decorations, etc. Its not a grocery store but it does carry some items (i.e. spices, snacks, pastas, wine, etc) so I wouldnt go here for most of your groceries. Seems like masks werent required for staff or guests but store is large enough that I felt safe walking around

This is not the same ole pottery I remember growing up. There is still pottery: vases, plant pots, and ceramic decorations. Several had made in China stickers. Most large plant pots ranged from $55-95. Due to covid, theyve condensed all buildings down in to one location. Theres general kitchen things, garden decorations, home decor, pillows, candles, wine. They have restarted wine tastings. And an ice cream shop was open with limited indoor seating. They had live plants that were 50% when I was there, most looked poorly. Hoping they regain their pizzazz and would love to see local artisans goods there.

Been coming out to this little Pottery Barn location for years back when used to be on the other side of the train tracks in a little Outlet Mall outdoor shopping area. Currently all their products are Consolidated to one building due to the pandemic but in a few weeks according to one of the associates they will be opening their other two buildings back up. So for now they are kind of limited on their stock and quantity of items but they have lots of cleaning and disinfecting items real cheap, like 1 to 4 dollars cheap.

I would have given it more stars if we werent treated like we were inconveniencing the staff for being there. Seeing as we were the only ones in the entire complex besides one other person that I saw. We got told 4 times that we had an hour left before they closed and then reminded as we kept shopping as the time went down. Its nothing like the old buildings, it did look very nice and I was excited at first. But if youre hoping for the same experience as your childhood as I was its quite disappointing. The prices arent reasonable except for a few sale items and the staff seems bored and ready to leave apparently. It became a vacation joke to stop there for the rest of our week because it was so exciting.. insert sarcasm here. Change and updates are necessary but I believe there needs to be some training on customer relations and better spaces management. There were tons of empty shelves..

What the hell? I came here looking for the pottery factory that I had visited decades ago. Apparently that place is long gone. In its place is a very attractive looking series of small shops. I soon found out that looks can be deceiving though. What looks like 30 small shops from the outside is revealed to be 3 huge buildings filled with cheap Chinese knick knacks that you would expect to find in a dollar store. Worse yet, there is almost no pottery to be found. The place that I remember had hundreds of thousands of pieces of pottery, and thats what I was looking for. The employees were not great either. We showed up a half hour hour before closing time and their only concern was making sure we were out of the store on time so that they didnt have to stay there one more minute. Not once did anyone ask us what we were looking for or if we needed any help finding anything. Very disappointing. Its hard to imagine that this place will be in business much longer as the owners obviously spent millions on the beautiful buildings that house nothing more than a glorified flea market.

SKIP IT! My first sign should have been the fact that we came around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and there was like 6 cars in the giant parking lot. Although the buildings were beautiful on the outside, I was somewhat expecting POTTERY inside, there was none. It was just 3 giant buildings filled with junk from China or overflow that couldnt be sold from local stores like Dollar General or Big Lots. Zero quality. The flower pots (which I assume is what they were referring to as pottery) were from Taiwan and China, not local. I searched around for about an hour and didnt buy anything.

My comment is for the campground, Since the owner do not wish to pay for the utilities for water and electric and sewer, then she can still make money by allowing Dry Camping which will cost her nothing but to have the sewer dump emptied once every 100 RVers, It is a shame for such a wonderful campground to go to waste.
