My wife and I went in about a month ago because she needed to get her eyes checked. Wait wasn’t long at all, 5 minutes for her to see the doctor. The sales clerk, who’s name I believe was Maurice, did an awesome job with helping. He explained everything really well as far as what her insurance would cover. Was also super patient with us, took a little to find ones that fit under all of the categories, insurance, actually fitting, etc. Cleaned everything for us before and after use, and overall was super professional. Easy to talk to and made the last part of the experience go fast and well. Thank you for the great experience!
The front staff was very nice and helpful. I accidentally cancelled my upcoming appointment and they helped me set up the appointment again with no problem at all. They tightened my glasses as well because mine were loose on my face. Dr. Sheila was very nice and helpful as well!
I became associated with VisionWorks through my employer plan. They have a number of vision plans they are associated with. I returned today to pickup a new pair of glasses and was waited on by a lovely young women. Unfortunately she was new and had no idea what she was doing when so asked her to adjust the nose pieces. My guess is she is learning on the job which sucks for customers. After 3 attempts plus assist from a male staff I accepted what she didn’t do and left the store. I adjusted the glasses myself at home. I will not be returning to this business. I presume they hire people trying to learn a profession without providing them training. Shame so many companies have vision plans with this company.
I took my son for his eye exam yesterday at 4pm. We had masks on. While in the exam room, the doctor walked in and asked my son if he was fully vaccinated. My son said No. This doctor then proceeded to take a piece of tape and tape the mask to his face on the bridge of his nose and under his eyes...I was absolutely dumbfounded! It actually took me a minute to gather myself..... I finally said Please dont do that! She said Hes not fully vaccinated... Now, this chicken fresh out of college is a doctor. She hasnt the slightest idea on how this Covid thing works. Your vaccination doesnt prevent you from contracting Covid and his lack of vaccination doesnt make him anymore dangerous than you. Also note, she did NOT put a piece of tape on her mask. My sons nose piece was clipped to his nose as it was supposed to be. So a mask was not enough. My son had to go through the whole exam breathing in carbon monoxide as there was nowhere for the toxin to escape from. Her vaccination was protecting her and my 11 year old isnt eligible for a vaccination so she decided to punish him for it and restrict his breathing. All the while, she was rushing through the exam like she had something else to do...I finally asked her if we were keeping her from something. She was speeding her way through it. She did her job, but looks very careless as it looks like its just her job and not patients. I ordered his glasses though! I cant say enough about through customer service up front. Great people!! I would suggest getting company shirts to look a little more professional!
I can see! Thank you Visionworks! I have a very bad stigmatism as well as very sensitive eyes. The Drs here ( I saw 2 different doctors on 2 different occasions and I am grateful for both bc both were wonderful) are very knowledgeable, caring, and efficient. I got more care here in 2 appointments then I have from my past 20 years as a contact lens wearer going elsewhere. The front desk staff is equally efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. Very happy I went here!
Update 9/15/21: Manager Glori called me and took the time to apologize numerous times, explain the remedy for the situation, and she even reviewed my payment/insurance history for the past 5 years. She was the epitome of professional and what a manager should be! I appreciate her kindness and personal attention.9/11/21: My family and I have been customers of Visionworks Park Place, Willow Grove, PA, for at least 5 years and until today have been very pleased with the service received. After today, I regret to say, WE WILL NOT BE BACK to that store at the very least. The attention given to this complaint will decide if we will patronize any other Visionworks store in the future. My daughter and I had routine eye exams, contact lens fittings and retinal scans today. Staff and doctor were great, as usual, until it was time to check out. Employee Wanai processed our check out. He asked us to sit at a desk while he gathered our paperwork. As he walked over with our paperwork, he had his cell phone in hand, and finished watching a video as he sat down, which he laughed at, then put his phone on the desk in front of him. He took at least 20 minutes to process our paperwork in the computer system, and seemed confused during the process. My daughter and I waited patiently, and he told us it would be approximately $80 EACH. I told him that was a lot higher than usual and Ive had the same plan for the past 3 years. He responded that it was because my eye exam was for multifocal lenses. That still didnt seem correct to me, but I decided that Id examine the receipts and my VSP Plus Plan coverage in detail when I got home. When I compared my 2020 receipts to todays receipts, it became clear that something was incorrect. In 2020, I had the exact same exam, with the exact same Visionworks charges, and the exact same insurance plan, yet in 2020 I paid $19 total and the rest was submitted to insurance. My daughter had the exact same exam in 2020 AND purchased a complete pair of glasses with lenses, and only paid approximately $60!I printed my insurance coverage directly from VSP, and brought last years receipts along with todays receipts back to Visionworks. When I walked in, Wanai was the only employee at the main desk, slouched in a chair, again looking at his phone. I reminded him of who I was and told him that I was grossly overcharged today, and I did not believe that my insurance was processed correctly during check out. I showed him my receipts from this year and last year, and before he even looked at them, he told me it wasnt a Visionworks problem, but a VSP problem and I needed to contact them directly. I then asked him to explain the excessive difference in the amounts I paid last year, when all other charges and insurance were the same. He would not examine the receipts in detail, but merely glanced at them and argued with me that my coverage must have changed. I attempted again to get him to thoughtfully look at the paperwork, to which he rolled his eyes and looked at the floor. I said, Youre acting very rude right now by rolling your eyes and looking at the floor. I then asked for his manager, to which he replied, I am the manager here today. I asked him one last time to please check the computer system to see if there was an error, and when he refused, I asked for his name and told him Id take up the matter with corporate. I also told him that my family and I have been customers for years and that we would NOT be back. He NEVER APOLOGIZED for anything, nor did he accept any responsibility for the obvious error. What happened to Visionworks Customer Service??In addition, when I went to have my contact prescription filled at Sams Club Optical, they recognized that my prescription was written for different contacts than the ones that I was given to wear at my appointment today! I saved the packaging from the test pair, which were Acuvue Oasys Multifocal. My script was written for Acuvue Oasys Presbyopia, which is NOT the same lens.
Very beautiful people there in attitude as well as appearance. Unfortunately my glasses were expensive, so I purchased 2 pairs. I also had a very simple eye exam, much better than having my eyes dilated and not being able to see for hours. This is my third visit to visionworks. This location offers me the earliest possible exam which is why I went to that location.
Unable to schedule an appointment. Phone prompts do not transfer to a live person. Very poor service. Will go elsewhere.
The worse service, I went for my appt. July 10th, they took 2 weeks to get my 2 pairs of prescription glasses and I couldnt see, now I have to wait until August 5th to see if this time they are correct or not. They are horrible.
Unhelpful/unknowledgeable sales staff. Went through my exam and was told to just go grab glasses off of the wall. No explanation as to what my plan will cover, what my options were, not even where the mens glasses were. Sales guy kept telling me my insurance rebate was a coupon for more galsses despite the card clearly stating a rebate. I was told that they dont offer any type of shipping. I later saw that its clearly stated that they do on their website which would have been helpful since the store was so far away. Ended up having to return my glasses to get my prescription corrected at the Oxford Valley location which did a much better job and offered a much better experience.
I just want to thank the staff at Willow Grove . The Dr Concepcion and Gloria who helped me pick my frames were both amazing !!!! They were friendly kind knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
I just want our customers to know how much we appreciate your business, at least I do. I strive to make your experience easy and treat you like family. Be blessed and live on purpose
Extremely slow service. I will be changing places for eye wear. I had to wait 2 hours for simple contacts lens check. With only 2 customers sitting at that time.
Worst experience I have ever had. Went in this week to exchange/ return my prescription glasses because they didn’t look /fit great. I waited for a few minutes at the sign in before someone finally acknowledged I was there. Only three customers were in the store. After getting a temperature check I was told to look around for a replacement and he would be with me shortly. Unbeknown to me he went to deal with another customer and never got back to me ( even as I told him I was ready)I sat there for an hour before I decided I was just going to return them and go someplace else. I sat their and endured the personal conversations going on. I left feeling very angry but told myself that there are better store around with better customer service.
I do understand - Covid times, and I didn’t realize that appointments were a must...but with no customers in (or maybe one in) the guy who was free would not let me in to take a quick look at the eyeglasses. I don’t think it’s a good service. I would need to take a quick look and order eyeglasses online. I came in at 5:25pm and needed max 10 min to look at a very limited options I have with my petite face, the guy told me on top he had to clean everything before the closing. You should do cleaning after the customers are gone and after the store closed at 6pm as per store info. Before 6 pm you are still considered open, could spare 10 min with no customers in.... You just lost a customer at this location for sure. You have to adjust to the current situation and be understanding. Offering me to come in on Monday thanks - but you are not open late hours so I can’t come in after work after 6pm... guess you just have too many customers to quick out ...09/25/2020 An update: Ive never heard from anyone from the store after the promise to look into it. Just ignoring their customers. I almost never ever leave bad reviews, just trying not to make any troubles even for the people who dont care about their clients. What happened was the most unpleasant experience for me and this time I want to leave a bad review, cause its not right. Ended up going to another place and picking a good pair of eyeglasses with a pleasant customer experience. Hopefully, my comment at least will encourage a better service and no one else will be kicked out of the store!
Wonderful experience. Everyone here was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable — Especially Glori!!!
Prescription was wrong so I had to have a second exam and new glasses were provided but the prescription STILL is wrong. They are supposed to be for reading and computer work but if anything is more that 6 inches from my face its blurry. WTH?? So now I have to go back a THIRD time. I just want to be able to see while I work or read!
We went in and got my daughters exam. Very quick, very professional. She was upset afterwards because we wanted the same frames she had with the new lenses.Miss Cheryl stepped in to save the day. She tried to special order the frames, and when they werent available she bent over backwards to find similar enough frames that would work. She then navigated our insurances for us and made the whole visit better.Recommended.
Been here before and wasn’t completely satisfied but it was acceptable. Just came back recently and it’s just horrible, you’re not even allowed to walk into the store without an appointment. Gloria was the manager and was super rude, I’m not sure if the HQ encourages this to push customers away but they will definitely not be getting my business until they allow me browse unattended again.
Nice personnel, ordered glasses, came much earlier than promised time.Recommend this location.
Would not allow me to give them a verbal authorization to send my rx to next day contacts. acted like they never heard of anyone other than 1-800-contacts.
11/11/20Visited Willow Grove vision works today.Had the best experience with Glori and Cheryl. They both helped me select frames and both ladies had so much patience. They were warm, professional, and knowledgeable.I can not wait to pick up my glasses when they are finished .The store was clean and 100% covid proof.Im telling all my friends and relatives about vision works .
Does anyone answer their phone? I’ve been on hold for a half hour now!! Unbelievable! The customer service needs improvement.
I would to accommodate VisionWorks management “Cheryl & Glorcee, Especially for Hiring a very specific unique young gentleman. This young man is very patient working calmly while obviously overwhelmed( due to high volume due to COVID-19 ) in his work and helping his colleagues workers as well. He showed consistently in his emotions, and empathy towards Costumer service but mostly, my son and I.This young man was able to multi-task maintaining his composure understanding our financial situation, my 10 year olds request ( not so easy) smiling, greeting people as they walked in, reminding them of their safety policies and explaining someone will be with them shortly.I would highly recommend all persons whom are seeking a great vision doctor along with a complete customer care team to only this location!!!This young man whom I cannot thank enough being in the field of management myself if I could hire him I wouldn’t blink twice, thank you very much .....WANAI.... or😄 Y———NAAADENNIES SCOTT
I would like to say a huge Thank You to Gloria at the W.G. site. Despite being busy with end-of-year appts, etc., she took the time to return my call and go over my childrens benefits with me.Ive always appreciated the W.G. crew and Gloria is a great addition! Thank you!
Horrible customer service. Very rude and offer no help in picking out your frames. Go to a private eye care center and avoid chains like this.
Customer service was awesome, doctor was great. Keep up the good work guys .
I no longer have eye insurance so need my prescription. They refuse to email it to me and are making me go in to retrieve my prescription in the middle of a pandemic. The male I talked to there was a obviously a miserable dude who doesnt get laid enough and was extremely rude. They use the excuse that they can fax my prescription but dont have access to outside email. Its year 2020 they know no one has a fax machine and just want you to go pick up the prescription to get you into the store. Whenever I did actually buy glasses from them they would try to up-charge me into some more expensive type of glasses to where Id pretty much have to fight them and tell them I dont need their suggestion. They are another chain rip off eye store. Thanks for nothing.
This message is for Dennis Barr.Visited Park Place, Willow Grove, PA store today. Colleen took my call and got me scheduled immediately. Chris fixed my glasses. Fabulous team. Kudos to Chris and everyone at the Willow Grove store.
Purchased 2 pair of glasses here with an Rx from elsewhere in early March right before COVID hit. Was very happy with both pair in quality and vision. Last week I went to put on my Calvin Klein frames and they wouldn’t sit right on my face. I brought them back for an adjustment, but it turned out a decorative piece had fallen off and resulted in them fitting improperly. To my surprise they replaced the frame FOR FREE and are just going to pop my lenses in when the new frame they ordered arrive. What a great policy they have, and thankful for their great customer service in the optical end. Not to mention that I felt very safe; they were being very cautious with COVID taking temps at the door and using extra sanitation measures. Very happy!
Beautiful team to look at, so thank god it’s an eye place because you just have to SEE these guys. Not only polite and very efficient, but informative in case you have no EYE-dea about optical care. Dr. Russel was extremely thorough and even plays some soft jazz through the exam which I love -
Great customer service, courteous and pleasant.
Extremely pleasant experience!! Was in and out within half an hour with eye exam, great staff, was able to obtain prescription day of. Would definitely be back again!
I am traveling and idiotically forgot my contacts AND glasses at home. Rachel just saved my vacation by getting me set up with some fresh lenses. THANK YOU!
Went in yesterday to get a pair of glasses. Cheryl was awesome as always!!! She is patient, nice, funny and great at helping select frames that look good on you! Cheryl was at Walmart years ago when my daughters first got glasses. We have been with her about 10 years now and by far one of the best!
I went with my boyfriend to get him some glasses with the promotion they had 2 for $49. We get them but the guy said because we got there at 4:30pm he couldn’t ring us up yet we were going to pay for glasses with card? So he held our glasses and we had to come back tomorrow. I was very upset but when I went today the lady was very nice and offered me an upgrade.
Great experience! Doctors and associates are very knowledgeable and helped me choose some great glasses!
Bent the frame of my glasses and after several times trying to fix correctly they told me that the frame is ready to break, but were not going to replace the frame even with me buying the warranty until the warranty runs out. The quality of the higher end frames is lousy, the rest of the service is good-but the buy one get one includes only the basics and anything else is extra including the 1 year breakage warranty, save youre money and go somewhere else
The doctors are friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and fully follow through with your care. The sales associates are not at all pushy and helped find discounts above and beyond what was publicly advertised.
Very cute glasses definitely would recommend!
By far most helpful in choosing frames and getting us in and out !
Very friendly and professional service. Took time to answer all my questions and look at various money saving options.
Because I am forced to give a star in order to post a review, I gave it a 1 star. I went to get my child an exam at the request of her doctor and school nurse. We left with no explanation of why they couldnt give her glasses, told me we need to go to CHOP. CHOP wants a medical diagnosis I couldnt get a medical diagnosis for CHOP. So I am out an eye exam for my child, and no resolution. Worst experience ever.
They are really nice here and very helpful.
RIPOFF! Another chain that is useless and extremely overpriced. Kept waiting for service by someone to help, kept waiting by the doctor. Stay away from here - poor quality
So I promptly lost the glasses that they sold me within a week, called the store trying to get a break and they said no,$341 but theyd let me carry over the $30 insurance that Id purchased for the lost pair.I get there and they knocked it down to $285...that was really nice of them
The manager was very helpful with fixing my glasses that another location messed up
Why so serious......do you wanna know how I got theses scars?
They have great glasses
Come in and see us!
