I had them work on my Suzuki outboard. They found the problem and fixed it. I appreciate there honesty. They also had my motor fixed in a timely manner. Tony helped with my service.

My son who has always dreamed of having his own boat went to this dealership to purchase his first boat. At the time of purchase he got an IOU for a Garmin and for the gas gauge if needed as they weren’t sure if the gauge was actually working or not. My son took the boat out the gauge was in fact not working so when they brought it in for the Garmin they explained that the gauge was not working and needed to be fixed. Now apparently they won’t fix the gauge even though they have it in writing that it would be taken care of. From what I understand the salesman and the GM are trying but it’s the owner of the business that won’t allow them to do the repair that was promised. I’m in the auto business and have been for 27 years and I know the rules and the business very well and you Mr Hillman are in the wrong and I will make sure to blast you everywhere I can so people know what kind of business man you are. Glad my son got his boat out of there now and will never be back.

My fiancé and I bought a boat from here, our first boat together. The sales associate we used was awesome (Jim). We bought the boat in cash, no financing. When we bought the boat we were given an IOU for the Garmin GPS system as well as fixing the fuel gauge if it was not working. Mind you, we told them when we bought the boat that we didn’t want to buy it if the fuel gauge was not working, they went back and forth, it was working, it wasn’t (for some reason the mechanic didn’t know how to check it…) We were then given the WRITTEN IOU that would have them address the gas gauge if it needed fixing. After taking the boat out and the gauge was not working we called to let them know the gauge needed to be fixed . We dropped the boat off on a Tuesday and didn’t hear anything from them, here comes Friday and my fiancé is arguing with them over the phone about why they won’t fix the gas gauge. The sales associate and the GM were fighting to have it fixed, but the owner was not having it. After my fiancé argued and cut a deal saying that once they actually looked at the gauge (oh yeah they haven’t actually found what’s wrong with it yet) and figured out what’s wrong with it he would be willing to pay part of what it costs. That offer was shut down because they “didn’t want to get into all that, and it was going to be too much.” They then proceeded to tell my fiancé that they couldn’t afford to fix a $300 gas gauge, even though it was in writing that they would (if that is even what was wrong with it, could be a simple $50 fix). We were able to get our boat from them on Monday (almost a week later) and they will never see it again. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

This company is quick to sell but will not repair what they sell. I bought a new pontoon, none of the Gages work. Took it back, 1.5 hrs each way. Said it was repaired, took it out later and gages still inop. The said bring it back. I said I would not and that they should come get it to repair. Said they would, that was 4 mos ago. I called after a couple of months and got the runaround. Still gages inop. They got their money that’s all they care about. I called the BBB and issued a complaint. Avoid these people.

Bought 2 boats in the last month from Hillman. The process was simple both times, good deals were provided, and they’ve been beyond helpful in correcting some minor issues from the start. Got a great deal on my vehicle, and I am very pleased. This was my first time buying a car, so I cant compare this to any other experiences; however, for me to rate 5 stars, a couple things could have happened differently. Although each line was explained in the contract and Allen made sure of that, I wish I would have felt like I had time to read what I am signing. I know I could have asked for time, but it felt rushed given that there were a couple other people looking at cars while I was signing. I felt like by leaving quickly I would get out of their hair, and didnt feel comfortable asking for time to read without feeling like a bother. Either way, I am confident that I didnt get screwed over, but would have been nice. Next, the car was given to me with less than 1/4 tank, which I found in poor taste. I understand its not a big deal, but I would have considered a nice gesture to drive off in a new car with a full tank without having to keep checking the gauge on my first couple days of driving it. Lastly, I was told the vehicle would be detailed before I got it- granted, the car was in great condition and all- but there was honestly some dust and dirt spots on the seats and sides from coming in and out. When I asked about it, apparently they consider detailing to be just en exterior wash and tire shine, because I was told that well, thats all we do- when I clearly was told it would be detailed. Wouldnt be an issue had the word detailed not been used. All in all, I am satisfied with my experience, but would have loved for it to have been a 5 star one- little details go a long way when it comes to customer service, in my opinion.

I chose to go to the big box dealer first, wanting to stay with the current make and model but newer with less miles. It was a disaster! Driving back, I needed to stop for gas and it happened to be across the street from Hillman. I had not tried them as previous visits to their website showed that they did not have what I was looking for even though myself and 4 other family members are multi-time purchasers from Hillman Motors. While my husband got gas I saw what was to become my car. It was not what I was in the market for but make no mistake, I in no way settled!! I did the look-see on the lot after hours and was on their website the next morning filling out the credit app. Jim got straight back with me and we began the negotiations. I got an AMAZING deal (even better than advertised) on a great car and it came with a warranty! I signed and picked it up later that day. I was now the proud owner of a giant paper weight as the car did not start the next morning. Total f^%$ing bummer right?! After some testing it was determined that the relay for the alarm system faulted causing the security system to engage. Tony stepped in to take charge of the issue. At no cost to me and ALL cost to him, he got the expensive and un-warrantied issue resolved. I am totally satisfied with my purchase. Thank you for the great service and a fantastic car. Its all elbows and cupcakes.

I purchased a boat recently from this dealer. Customer service thus far was going well until I needed service for my boat. The radio failed and when I drove to the dealer with the boat, I was told that a radio was ordered and would be in by the following Friday. That was 3 weeks ago. I called dealer back and advised them that the radio manufacturer suggested a firmware update and I wouldnt likely be needing a radio if I upgraded the radios firmware to version 2.6. After upgrading the firmware the radio work fine for a couple of days and then stopped functioning again. I took my boat back to the dealer to have the radio installed that they allegedly ordered and they didnt have the radio. AL the owner advised he would have a unit removed from another boat and install on my boat; however, after checking the other boats, AL discovered that he didnt have any boats with the same radio. I was told by dealer staff that AL never did order the radio, so they proceeded to order the radio and advised radio should be in by Wednesday 4/17/19 a week later. I called to check the status Tuesday 4/16/19 a week later and was advised that AL ordered the radio on that Tuesday 4/16/19 and the radio will be shipped overnight and will be received Wednesday 4/17/19 the next day. I followed up with dealer Thursday 4/18/19 and discovered that radio is still not in. Meanwhile my boat has been there since 4/9/19 awaiting a radio and additional bunks to be added to the trailer to assist with loading boat on trailer. Called and spoke to Allen (Sales Person) and Allen advised that AL was busy and did I want him to call me back. I requested that he mention to AL why Im calling and to please request that AL have some adhesive removed from boat that wasnt removed prior to delivery of boat and Allen suggested that I tell AL myself when he calls me back. I still havent received a return call from AL. Will update review when I hear back from AL and dealer makes progress with my repairs. Looks like I will not be boating with my family on Easter Weekend.

Jim went above and beyond helping me pick the right boat. The service guys went on sea trials with me and made sure I had the right prop when I left. Then when I had a little trouble over tag/registration, the owner got involved and quickly resolved the issue.Great place to buy a boat and rumor has it they also sell cars !

I had an amazing experience at Hillman Motors. I am an educator in Orlando who has really bad credit and was turned down by every car dealership I went to due to my credit history. I was even told by one dealership that I would never get into anything new with my credit. I decided to google used car dealerships that work with people who have bad credit. Hillman Motors popped up and I read the reviews. I decided to give them a call and see if they were able to help me get into a nice vehicle. I went in expecting to leave with a 2010 vehicle that I qualified for, but after working with me, Allan used his expertise to get me qualified for something much better. I ended up leaving with a 2013 vehicle!!!! I have gotten so many compliments on my vehicle! I am so happy and relieved that I finally am able to drive something nice even with terrible credit! A coworker told me about this place so I went onto their website and looked at their inventory and found a truck I was interested in. I called and spoke to Allen who was helpful and polite over the phone. I continued onto filling out a credit application through their website and went over some of my application details and got pre-approved got a good rate so I proceeded to put a simple $100 deposit on the truck and made the 2 hour trek a week later to see the truck had been detailed and waiting for me to test drive it. Allen was extremely courtesy and understanding about my not so good past credit history (repossession) and was more than generous with my trade in value. Allen took the time to work on getting a better rate than my pre approved quote! I was completely taken back, hands down the best dealership experience Ive ever had. Hillman motors is a small independent dealership that beats any corporate big dealership with their customer service. I would make the 2hr drive again to give Hillman my business.

Just purchased my 2nd car from here with Allen..The #1 dealership in customer service ! I shopped around and found that Hillman Motors was the most honest dealership I have seen. Allen was the best ! He doesnt make you feel pressured to buy or give you the speech on how lucky you are that he was able to get you approved...!!! He asked what I wanted my payments to be then worked his magic and told me ALL my options on the lot.. The other dealerships I went to had the same prices but HIGH mileage vehicles and DONT give you the vehicle reports you should have for added piece of mind.. You just cant beat what Hillman has to offer ! I will definitely be recommending Allen and Hillman Motors to everyone I know!

I purchased a used car from Hillman Motors in December 2013. Generally the transaction went very smoothly, and the price of the car was fair. However, a few weeks into ownership, the car began having brake problems. My own mechanic discovered that the front disc brake pads were so worn that they were beginning to cut into the rotors. $220 later, I have new brake pads and turned rotors which fixed the problem. Obviously the dealership did not inspect the car as thoroughly as they claimed. Bad brakes can be a safety issue, and they should have been checked before the car was sold. Buyer beware!

Bought a 2013 chevy cruze, ended up being a lemon and had to trade it in to get a new car at a real dealership. Car would randomly shut down while driving and it would over heat. Remote start quick working after a week, and I had to replace all of the fuses + Fuse box just because of major electronic issues after having the car for 3 months. I ended up upside down on the cruze and it was the worst car I ever owned. The salesman was a nice guy but he sold me a terrible car and I am pretty sure the company knew the car had problems. You live and you learn try to stay away from smaller lots unless you do avid research and bring along someone who really knows about cars.

Unprofessional! I have never wrote a review before but I felt as if my experience needed to be shared! I have bad credit and was approved! Excited and even test drove a very nice car, was told to just come back the next day and finish all the paperwork because I was on my lunch break, just to get told that the car was sold from underneath me. I was told not to worry about anything the day before but bc I didnt put a deposit, it got sold! Well, I was offered another car but felt as if I was settling for anything they would offer! Very long story short, Tony wasted much of my time and at the end of the day never returned my call and just text that he couldnt do anything for me after I had to text him asking if there was any answer he could give me! So much for the deal they offer of $500 down with any credit! I had $2000 to offer down and didnt get offered anything I was interested in! Thanks!

I have never had the best experience buying a car as I had a Hillman Motors with Allen and Jeff, with my credit score I wasnt sure if I could get a car, after speaking with Allen he took my information and went to work on getting me a loan, when he called me back and informed me that he had some options for me, I assumed it was going to be the worst car in the lot, when he showed me the cars I could purchase I was shocked and very impressed from that moment on with Allen. I left Hillman driving a 2013 Dodge Rally and a tutorial on how to use my phones bluetooth and Sirius XM radio from Jeff.
