I went there originally because my V30 LG phone was acting up. They looked at it and stated I needed to upgrade my phone. My phone did have a cracked screen and I also had insurance on it. They stated when the new phone comes in, come back and they would transfer my information from one phone to the other. 2 days later, I received my replacement phone and went there to transfer my info from one to another. The same person waited on me. He stated others came in with the same problem I was having a few days before. Found that there was a problem with Google and not the phone. Waited over a half hour for service. They attempted to transfer my stuff from one phone to the other and could not. Told me I would need to hard wire it from one phone to the other at a shop that was not AT&T. Now I have been there well over an hour. I left a little upset and came home. I am not a technical expert but I at home was able to transfer most all my information myself. Had to call AT&T customer service to activated the new SIM card and she helped me trasfer the rest of what I needed.I would not recommend this AT&T store to anyone. Not my 1st bad experience there. They didnt seem concerned about my issue. They didnt provide the customer service that should have been provided. Either the staff is untrained or dont care.And the bottom line, I really didnt need a new phone.

Amber was extremely helpful and courteous and fixed my problem. She also informed me of upgraded plans I was eligible for without being pushy and looked up answers to all my questions. I went in the middle of the afternoon and got lucky as I didnt have to wait to be helped.

Techs are friendly and very patient and helpful. A tech greeted us at the door and began assisting in my purchase of a new phone right away. Buying a new IPhone and trading in my old one the entire process was painless and took less than an hour.

Had a horrible experience at the Alton location. The assistant manager James was very rude and argumentative towards my wife. She had to leave the store and call the 800 number in order to receive good customer service. We will not be going back to this location. We were not informed it would take 3 months for the trade in to be processed when we purchased the new iPhone. It was explained that if we traded it in we’d receive $700 off making the phone $400. When we just received the bill no money had been taken off. The customer service rep had to explain that it could take 3 billing cycles and they didn’t even show a trade in. Somehow the at&t store has lost our trade in phone. Now we’re left paying a huge bill each month. On top of that the assistant manger wanted to argue that the activation fees should have been waived for the 2 new lines we added. He stated it was a promotion. The customer service 800 number said there would need to be notes added in order remove the activation fees. The assistant manager still wanted to argue with my wife saying they didn’t need to add any notes and the fees should be waived. She had to get another associate to help put the notes in after arguing with the assistant mgr for a half hour. She never once asked for the assistants help or anything. He was actually supposed to be helping other customers instead of arguing with her. I definitely suggest going to a different location if you can.

One of the worst retail experiences of my life. Dont waste their time with prepaid phones/lines/services. They will try to talk you into anything that helps them meet their sales goals. Most of the staff was pushy, rude, short-tempered, dismissive and insulting. Helping me was a nice yet inexperienced associate who struggled through the activation of the first of two phones, while other more experienced employees sat texting on their phones rather than trying to assist. The second phone I planned to buy, I was told after many unsuccessful attempts to activate, was defective. After leaving I noticed several additional charges to my checking account. When I went back to the store and questioned the first available associate, he became impatient with me when his explanation of the charges did not make sense. Realizing they did not want to bothered any further, I left and called the 800 number. A representative was kind enough to look into the charges. She saw that I was in fact charged twice for one line and then charged for a plan on the phone/account that I did not purchase. I was refunded accordingly, but still have an open account and phone number in my name that will have to be closed.

I do not recommend this AT&T store. Youd be better off driving to the AT&T store in Edwardsville. I helped my Aunt purchase a phone and the salesman said the best option would be to add a second phone line to get the phone for free. The cost was going to be around $120 a month - the first bill was $229.00. I called customer service and we removed the 2nd phone line and will pay $179 for the phone and only have one phone line. AT&T couldnt transfer the data from one phone to another and they said it wouldnt cost anything to go to the store they sent us to and it was $60 to transfer data from one phone to another. We thought the AT&T bundle (internet, phone and TV) sounded like a good deal. The salesman said all we needed to do is pay $19.99 and try it for 14 days and if we dont like it bring it back and it would be cancelled. In the meantime, internet equipment was sent to my Aunts house and they charged her for Internet before 14 days. We took the tv box back and it was cancelled but we had to call Customer Service to cancel Internet and phone and I had to bring the internet equipment to an actual Fed Ex Store (45 minutes away) to ship it back. The salesperson was not correct about anything she sold us that day. It was a terrible experience. I will say the Customer Service person that helped me remove the 2nd phone line was very very helpful and sorry that we had such a bad experience and said that is not a good representation of A&T. I see a lot of bad reviews and I see the Owner apologizing but I dont see it getting better! Dont go to this store.

Visited the store yesterday, Paul is one of the hardest workers Ive met, friendly, adaptive. We ran into road blocks along the way of upgrading my phone, but he was determined to see me leave satisfied with my visit. He is the reason we choose major cell providers, and the same reason that even though at&t is a large corporation, it still feels like a small business, with your best interests in mind. I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks Paul!

Jef Wuellner worked with me. He asked me what all I used my phone for. He also explained other options that I be interested in from listening to what I already used it for. I liked how he actually listened to me and what I was looking to do with it. He did NOT try to sell me something that was of no use to me just to get a big sale. I appreciate that in a salesperson!! I don’t know if he works for commission or not but he did right by me. I doubt that he will ever get credit from the company by me writing this! But AT&T is lucky to have him. If I was still a sales manager in radio after my experience with him I would hire him away from you!

Bad experience. Wasnt able to pay my cell phone bill because my name wasnt on the account, so I left. I had been paying on this account for over 5 to 6 yrs. at the same place. Needless to say when I went back I talked to the assistant manager and he let me pay for my phone.

Hannan was very rude to me.Not polite.Would not answer my direct question,“Can I make a payment on my ATT account”?She looked at me very annoyed when I asked her to answer her.She walked away from me without answering me and did not even say follow me.She went to a computer and I had to ask a third time and she very rude.Then she removed her mask.Rude. And carried a conversation on with another employee while ignoring me.After a few minutes she asked fir my drivers license.When I handed it to her, she ripped it out of my hand!I was shocked!I paid in cash.She handed me the computer slip and walked away and never said thank you or anything.I stood there because I didn’t know we were doneHer co-worker had to ask her if she needed the computer anymore.I asked her her name.She wrote it on a Post It stick em.Hannan. Was beyond Rude.She was an angry young woman.Customer Service is not her strong point.She did not follow mask requirements as posted on the door.A very rude young lady.

I was switching from one carrier to another and had a bad experience with Amber and ATT. I explained how my bill was very high with my old provider and I was Upset about it so I switched. When I switched I told her how I wanted my bill to be a pre paid account that was paid automatically like my family member had already. I was Then put into a contract I couldn’t break for months. I was furious because I explained how I wanted a simple pre paid account but got a contract account. When I said that I went There for a specific reason I was met with arguments etc. I was Actually on the phone with a friend when I was originally speaking to Amber about my account being switched and they even reassured me that I did ask her a dozen times that this was a simple pre paid account but she didn’t know that someone else heard the conversation and treated me like I was Lying. She assured me multiple times it was not a contract but it was. I ended up paying hundreds of dollars when the prepaid account I wanted was supposed to be $50 a month. Be cautious when dealing with this business and be mindful of your wording too.

Horrible experience with this store. First offafter being lied to and also dealing with someone that was clueless for over an hour who never identified herself. I tried to get the situation resolved peacefully with the “Assistant Manager” Paul who was extremely argumentative and rude. Honestly, a lot of mistakes were made with this store and the support number. The biggest being my wife’s number being ported without asking proper permission. Due to this mistake, she will now lose her phone number of 12 years because the added line and port was all done incorrectly. Which could have been reversed the same night, but of course this information was never relayed to us. In short I will never go back to this location, because after 2 visits and a phone call to the manager nothing was resolved and frankly I don’t think they gave af. So beware!

Today I went with my husband to get a new phone since it was nearing the time for our upgrades. We had to do a transfer of billing responsibilities since we had gotten married 1 1/2 years prior and I was still on a line with my parents. There were many things that created a challenge for us that day. (none that was their fault) We worked with James for many hours trying to get it corrected, but I didn’t mind waiting because he was so nice and professional. They were really busy in the store that day but they were able to help everyone efficiently and in a timely manner. I will never go anywhere else to get my phones because their customer service is consistently great.

I pay my bill in-store every month. I regularly deal with the manager Amber, as well as one of the employees, Taylor. These ladies are wonderful!. They are knowledgeable, courteous, and always willing to go above and beyond to help with whatever I need. Service like this is what really keeps me loyal to AT&T. Have to give one star because zero stars isn’t an option. Rude employees and extremely poor service. Was told I needed a service that I didn’t and when I called into the RETENTION DEPARTMENT, was told to go back to the store because they should fix this error. Went back to the store and was told “ we are just an AT&T authorized dealer so corporate can’t make us do anything!” I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS STORE AGAIN!

During the shelter in place order, my phone quit working. Because I was unable to be out during this time, my daughter took my phone into the store to be fixed or replaced. Nick was phenomenal! He answered all my questions, helped my daughter choose a new phone that was similar to my old phone, and talked to me on the phone to tell me all that they had done and how I could save money on my monthly bill. I simply cannot say enough good things about this visit and about Nick.

Jeff went above and beyond to help me get my niece a new phone for her birthday after the Jerseyville Store Manager told me I could go elsewhere to buy one since I wouldn’t buy his accessory bundle. Jeff sold me exactly what I wanted and didn’t push any accessories or insurance onto us while upgrading the phone. Will continue to drive the 30 minutes to Alton to avoid the Jerseyville store and get excellent customer service!

My problem was not resolved. Also, I have been charged for a third line after having cancelled it, at this very store, over a year ago. Prior to initially getting the contract, I had insurance on my phone and for some reason the associate didnt put that on my new contract. On top of not resolving any of my issues, the associate continued to try to get me to start a new line. To add to this, no one in the store was wearing masks. None of the employees. Not one, and were in a pandemic.

Went to the Alton store after the Jerseyville Store Manager told us to go elsewhere because my aunt wouldn’t buy his accessory bundle. Jeff was very helpful to my aunt and I and laughed at my jokes. I have been in to AT&T a few times. A couple times for myself and a couple times for my mom and every time Ive had Amber she has been pleasant and helpful and has an infectious smile!! She helped my mom find the right phone for her. I felt like she absolutely cared that my mom had a phone that would easily work for her. Once we had the manager Mark come and help and he was pleasant and nice as well!! The store overall is great!!

I went into the store with a billing issue I not only did not get a credit due to my account but was overcharged and needed to get a refund. Tim was extremely helpful and patient with me and went over and above speaking to the accounts and billing office on my behalf until the whole thing was cleared up. This took a couple hours but he sent me on my way and periodically called me with an update until the issue was resolved. Thank you Tim for your great service.

There needs to be more employees here doing different things or a whole new store to help because everytime i come to this store i have to wait almost an hour to just get my bill payed, i have to sit and wait on people that are buying new phones! Not everyone has a debit or credit card so i HAVE to come and pay in cash.. and as i am standing here writing this review, one employee just said to another customer “I’m sorry i could have done that” and then laughs because she never asked NONE of the people that are waiting what they needed and all these people needed, just like me, was their phone bill payed. I’m sure I’m not the only one tired of this store being INCONSIDERATE of other people’s time! Either some hiring or firing needs to be done at this store! And DEFINITELY some new organization skills!
