I highly recommend Dr Ron Cuevas as an eye doctor. I appreciate the convenient office hours. The staff is always friendly and professional. At times the office is busy creating a short wait but the experience makes it completely worth it.

If you need the services of a qualified and competent OD, then consider going here! From entering the store to being seen by the doctor the process was pleasant and enjoyable. The exam itself was completed in a timely manner and the results were thoroughly explained. The doctor took time to go over the results of each portion of the process and he explained how the results differed from the previous exam. I will definitely return the next time I need new glasses and an updated eye exam.

I have worn glasses for the past 20 years so annual checkups have become routine for me. Since they are annual, I never had a particular allegiance to one location as doctors seem to come and go and frankly a year is along time to build any type of relationship. I just recently relocated from Naples, FL to Eugene, OR and needed to schedule my annual exam. Since the office at 400 Valley River is only minutes from my office I scheduled an appointment and was able to conveniently get in that afternoon. The first set of tests were very thorough and included a number of intricate photographs of my eyes. I was then taken to an exam room where I met Dr. Ron Cuevas. He spent time reviewing my on-boarding patient checklist and then asked me questions about my current eyesight, etc. He then went thoroughly through a number of tests before determining my current vision status. He then went on to review in detail each of the photographs that were taken only minutes before. Once complete he spent time discussing his prognosis and prescription. One of the most thorough exams I have ever been through and appreciated every moment. Dr. Ron has a great personality and a real professional. I have no relationship with any of the above, just passing along a really positive experience so that others can make an informed decision about their next exam.

Doctor Ron is just wonderful. I always look forward to seeing him. He is not only an eye care skilled professional, he is attractive and interesting, and always ready to share what is happening with my eyes. He was the first to tell me that I needed a cataract procedure and immediately put me at ease. He explained it thoroughly and then referred me to (probably) the best specialists in our area. He followed up the procedure with me as skillfully as ever and I am now on my way to a future of good vision - the best I have had in years! It is now almost 30 years that I and my spouse have been seeing Dr. Cuevas, and we recommend him without reservation.

He is a great eye doctor. I have been going to him for years and will continue to for many years to come. It is easy to make an appointment even on the weekends.

One of the best eye exams I have had. Loved seeing the picture of my eye! I do have to say I was re scheduled twice and that is the only reason why I give it a 4. That was a bit frustrating. But the dr was very nice.

I was never left to sit and wait. My questions and concerns were answered during the eye exam as well. When I picked up my glasses they were a great fit and looked good as well.

Found him to be clear and professional. No problems at all with any support staff there, all seemed friendly. I had been going elsewhere for close to 20 years so was nervous about a new doctor, but I will go back.

I think the doctor may have been stressed. He was not very personable, which is in contrast to other reviews. I did feel that he was a very good optometrist and explained things very well. I would go back, but I do t like feeling like a number which I did.

A friend recommended I go the the Valley River Lens Crafters because they make it so easy, You can even make your appointment online! SOLD! The staff was very kind and professional and I had my glasses in under a week! They said some cases they can even do same day. Pretty cool. Love my new glasses.

Dr. Cuevas is patient, soft spoken, thorough, and knowledgeable.I liked that he gave me my contact prescription to fill anywhere, no sales pressure to fill prescriptions internally. Also, he asked if I had considered other services, such as glasses or eye surgery, but again no sales pressure. He just offered information and referrals for things I was interested in.Their office also has a new piece of equipment to replace the one that blew that big puff of air in your eye. So great!Easy to get an appointment. Office staff is really nice and helpful. Theyll bill your insurance for you.No negatives to going here.

I have worn glasses for over 40 years so I consider myself a good source of opinion on optometrists and their staffs. I found Dr. Cuevas quite by accident as I was hunting for a preferred style of sunglasses. I was also due for an annual checkup. His sign said ‘walk-in’s welcome so, being on vacation (and 3 hours from home) I signed in. Dr. Cuevas and team were very respectful and seemed pleased to assist me. Completely at ease, I was able to appreciate his professionalism, obvious medical stature and his clarity in diagnosis. I will happily drive 3 hours to see him and his excellent staff on a regular basis.

Eye exam covers everything; Dr.Cuevas is very personable, and provided information on my eyes of which I was unaware. Now that I know I am developing cataracts, it not only answers questions but gives me tools to monitor my eye health.

I had a really positive experience with Dr. Cuevas and staff. Dr. Cuevas answered all of my questions and gave me lots of great information. He even showed me the images of my eye that they took. Pretty neat! The staff was also very friendly.

Every part was well-managed: insurance, pre-exam, exam, glasses selection. Friendly, smart, efficient people. Good place to get glasses.

I had my yearly optometry check up done here, it was by far the worst experience Ive had in the 17 years Ive worn prescription glasses. The optometrist on site has absolutely zero interpersonal skills what so ever. He rushed through my appointment and literally forgot to write down my second prescription. Ive had a double astigmatism for most of my life and require progressive lenses. He only gave me a prescription for nearsighted... on top of that Ive been wearingbeing the acuvue oasys contacts for a number of years, he insisted that those arent a good option... then proceeded to send me home with a pair that he felt was BEST. These are the literally the most uncomfortable pair of contacts Ive worn, and have resorted to wearing my old prescription glasses. The optometrist ( Dr. Cuevas) is very unprofessional and borderline rude, he leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to professionalism and courtesy. This was hands down THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE HAD. In 17 years of being a continuous optometry patient Ive never been so disappointed nor has a dr ever forgotten to add an additional precipitation.

My exams have been efficient and professional. I have nothing good things to say.

Dr Cuevas, was rude and very impatient with horrible manners. He rushed me through my exam and I have no reason to believe it is accurate. Little to no explanation were offered and his fees were outrageous, for such horrible service. I’ll take my family elsewhere, this doesn’t reflect well on Lens Crafters.
