Moe Yazdani explained the terms so we knew exactly what we doing and Robert Hamilton took care of the paperwork when we picked up the car which arrived on the day they said it would!! So easy! I had my 2013 Mazda serviced here recently and they did a great job! I needed new brakes and I asked for a complete detailing service. They gave me a loaner vehicle for the weekend while they worked on my car, which was very nice. When I got my car back, it looked almost new! Everyone I worked with was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely return!

Great dealership to work with. We called in to put a hold on a car and Pat was very helpful and proficient with setting everything up. When we got to the dealership that same day to pick it up, Pat ran us through the details of the car and made sure that everything was to my satisfaction. After having awful experiences with a couple of other dealerships prior to looking at this one, Autobarn Mazda made the process simple and enjoyable, and Ill definitely be seeking out an Autobarn dealership for any future car purchases.

Exactly what a car buying experience should be. Everybody that I worked with at this dealership was friendly and knowledgeable, and not pushy about sealing a deal. Prices were good even now during this chip shortage. When they didn’t have the exact color combo I wanted they quickly found my ideal choice and worked out a way to get it for me at no increase in price and let me know exactly when I would have it. Also gave me a great price for my trade in. Can’t ask for more!

I have been driving the one and only car I ever owned for the last fifteen years. I had some great memories in that car and it was the last and only thing my father left me. I knew the day would come when I would need a new car. A few weeks ago that day came when my car shut off in the middle of the road.I knew I wanted a SUV AWD. After doing a few weeks of research and sitting in the Mazda CX 30 it was the car. Mazda CX 30 Select was my first choice, but due to supply chain shortages it was hard to find. I saw The Autobarn Mazda in Evanston had the CX 30 Turbo in stock and decided to test drive it. I fell in love.Billy Maio was our salesperson and he made the car buying experience very seamless. Not once did I feel pressured. Being a sales manager for a big box retailer I understand sales and the importance of building rapport with clients to create special moments that cultivate customer and brand loyalty. Billy did just that. He bonded with my fiancé over Star Wars merch and got to know me as an individual. I appreciate that. Before I left, he spent extra time showing me every feature/control in the car and paired my Bluetooth. My fiance said it was the best car buying experience he ever had and he wasn’t even buying the car!Mike Allegretti, the manager personally came over to introduce himself and thank us for our business. Robert Hamilton, the finance manager was thorough and showed me the value of opting for the extended warranty. Side note: he made a mention of a previous employer and I used to work there too in hs! Mind you, this place doesn’t even exist anymore (they rebranded/changed ownership) so it really is a small world. Poldino Buti, the service manager has helped me in the past and is part of the reason I considered shopping at this dealership over any others.Things happen for a reason: I couldn’t find the car I wanted, my car died, The Autobarn happened to have the car in stock two days later but it was not the exact trim I wanted, however I fell in love with the CX 30 Turbo. I truly feel l was in the right place at the right time with the right people. Billy, Mike, Robert, and even their secretary who took my down payment were all friendly, professional, and made the car buying process simple and smooth. Thank you guys for making my first car buying experience a memorable one!

Purchased a car here in 06/2021.Felt a lot of pressure from the finance department. Additionally, when emailing the finance department after purchase, they accidentally attached an incorrect document to an email that they later told me to disregard. This document was a signed contract for key coverage for 36 months for $700.1) I never received a copy of this document (despite allegedly receiving copies of all documents signed on the day of purchase), 2) I never agreed to purchase key insurance, 3) I never would have agreed to purchase key insurance, let alone for $700, 4) we never even discussed key insurance at all, and 5) I have absolutely no recollection of signing that document.When discussing this with finance later, they simply said Oh yeah dont know how that happened. We can cancel it, which is completely unacceptable. They did cancel it, but I do not feel comfortable that there are forms floating around with my signature on them without my knowledge, especially with financial consequences. Had that key insurance contract not been accidentally attached to the email, I never would have known about this charge as it was not included in the actual bill of sale, nor in any other documents signed on the day of purchase.Sales staff was very kind, but finance department was very shady, would avoid doing business here.

Nice clean dealership. Definitely worth the drive from Chicago. Upfront car pricing, negotiated over phone. Mohammed and Chris were great. But negotiation is still a two step process. Price of the car and then the finance manager sale of extended warranty, if you are purchasing the car rather than leasing. The extended warranty sales I do not like because there is no price guideline. It is also high pressure. Dealer can charge whatever they can convince the customer. I am not opposed to extended warranty but there should be some reasonable price guideline. Also dealership tried to sell gap insurance which I declined.

Afterwards, the process was quick enough and everything went smoothly. The staff was very friendly. We were able to finalize everything on the same day. I would strongly recommend working with him. I can’t give this place anymore than one star. The Sales person was knowledgeable and nice, but the Sales Manager said they would have to charge me to use Mazda’s promotional financing after the deal had already been negotiated. He claimed the price quoted was based on using their preferred lender at a significantly higher rate . They dropped it after an argument, but it still happened. Mazda Corporation said their is no charge for their promotions, and the dealership is supposed to do what is in the best interest of the client. This was not done, and I regret not having walked out and purchased the vehicle from another dealer.

Month and a half ago I was in a market for a vehicle, it was in between Subaru STI and Mazda Miata. Patrick Levy helped me over the phone and he made me feel some type of way. Not only he said that they don’t offer test drives when I asked to drive a Miata, but the way he talked to me about it was very demeaning. Typical used car lot attitude. Also at the end of our if you wanna call it a “ conversation “ ( he was the one talking down to me, and I was just listening ) I asked for him to get back to me on a non RF Miata model and give me some information regarding reliability. Not only he didn’t call me and I specifically said please do because I’m in the market shopping around, but he sent one of those GENERIC emails like days later. I relied to the email telling him about my poor experience with him, AND HE NEVER EVEN REPLIED. None the less my experience was very poor, and I ended up getting a brand new Subaru STI. All Patrick had to do, is treat his client ( ME ) with just a little bit of decency. Not only you lost my business for good because you Patrick represent the entire dealer but your reputation now is spread by my word here and everyone else I talk to. Good luck my man, you are going to need it.

Over the last year I purchased a vehicle from Autobarn and referred 3 of my family members who have also purchased a vehicle. So to say I was less than pleased with the recent experience on with a 4th referral on a purchase is an understatement. The sales portion of the he experience went ok. However, Ryan Starz in finance has changed my total view of the dealership. He was rude, dismissive and disrespectful. I attempted to contact the General Manger and never received a response. I will never refer anyone else nor will I purchase a vehicle from Autobarn.

I recently helped my mom buy a new Mazda CX-30. I live in in Florida while she lives in Illinois so I couldnt physically be there for the process. I was lucky enough to get referred to Moe Yazdani by a friend of a friend. Moe was incredible to work with!! He was extremely responsive to texts, always willing to talk to me on the phone, super transparent, and super aggressive on both pricing and the trade value. When it was time for my mom to pick the car up she was treated like family at the dealership by Ivan in sales and Robert in finance. The deal that I negotiated for my mom didnt change from what I had set up for her with Moe and mom left extremely happy in her first new Mazda. Thank you again Moe and everyone involved at Autobarn Mazda! I will definitely refer business your way if I have the opportunity!

Cars with personality and excellent driving feeling. Mazda is one of those manifacturers tha still produce manual cars. I really liked the 2018 Mazda 3 in the Grand Touring from but the only 2 available manuals were 2019. Still love the way the cars drives but we need more manual options. 3 dealers in the area and only 5 manual cars. Autobarn Mazda has knoledgable sales people that work with you to find a car that meets your needs and finance staff that gives you options but you cant always take advantage of the 0.9% interest rate no matter if you have perfect credit.

Disappointed overall. Mo (manager), Giovann (sales), and Jonathan (manager) are all really nice and insist “we want to do what we promised” but don’t know how to follow through. I brought my recently purchased car back 3 times for repairs agreed because they didn’t actually do all the repairs and then each of the 3 times they didn’t check if the work was done. It baffles me because they had my car for 5 weeks total when they said 2 weeks max originally. After the third time I had to move away so I got it finished somewhere that can do their job. I even gave Mo a checklist for him to go through it because he didn’t check all the items were complete the first 2 times and then had guts to insist it’s not his fault for not checking when he stated he was going to check himself. All nice guys but a joke of an experience. I’m still waiting to hear from Mo after 3 weeks ago about how to fix the tear in my steering wheel the servicing department caused. Love my car, bummed by the lack of customer service and follow through. I recommend looking elsewhere

First time I switched from Lexus to Mazda this year in 2020.Very disappointed in the service post-leasing and the quality of the car.From the first few weeks after leasing there have been nothing but issues with the brand new car.Then trying to get it seen at service is such a pain and horrible experience, I will never lease a Mazda again. I may even put it up on a lease take over website just to get out of the lease early.If youre looking to spend anywhere between $375-$425 per month on a lease I would highly recommend going with a different brand.This dealer offers bare min. service and the car is made with cheap parts and starts to fall apart from the beginning.

I had a very positive experience buying a new 2020 Mazda CX-5 GTR. My sales consultants - Ryan Straz and Mohammad Yazdani were very professional, courteous and patient. I liked their transparent and no-nonsense attitude. They were honest and fair in the overall sales process. This made my overall buying experience very positive. I never felt that anyone was using any “sales tactics” during the entire process and appreciated the consultative approach that the two of them took!Overall, very pleased with Autobarn Mazda Evanston and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to buy a Mazda in Chicago.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I brought a car from here and it was pre certified. Meaning there shouldn’t be any problems with the car right? Nope !! 2 days after purchasing my car I noticed squeaking noises as I pressed the breaks. Took it to the shop and realized the rotors were bad. They refused to fix it even though they lied and told me nothing was wrong with the car! They offered to pay $200 towards it getting fixed and leaving me to pay the rest ($800 ) out of pocket! This place doesn’t care about you after they take all your money and get the car. They sell you cars that have problems and try to hide it from you.

Had such an interesting experience at this dealership.My husband and I were interested in a CX-30- called that morning and learned it was a service loaner and they worked to have it in same day which was nice and really appreciated.Went in that afternoon and met with Cam. I will preface all of this by saying we were first time car buyers, so we were totally new to all things car shopping. He was patient as we got things ready for our test drive, but never told us anything about the car- didn’t even open the car door. Really just handed us the keys and went back inside. Once we got back it was a bit awkward- we found him inside and gave the keys back. We asked a question about the infotainment, specifically the navigation as it said a chip was needed and we hadn’t seen this before. Cam said that you have to purchase the chip and then just stared at us- no further explanation of the infotainment/how it’s set up- just end of discussion. Moving right along...We asked if there were any used CX-5s on the lot because we wanted to check out the next size up to understand the difference between models. The inventory was low, which is understandable given the current environment, but that’s really all we were told. There were three, one was out and two were in the shop I think? Still, there was no explanation of the differences between the two, no offer to show us some new models that were on the lot just so we could get an understanding for ourselves of the different between the two (size, features, etc.)We were met with “so what do you want to do- what are next steps?” We asked what the flexibility on price was, and were met with “there is none” - which, okay, if there isn’t flexibility on the price that’s fine, but the overall delivery of this seemed defensive and came across as rude.My husband and I said we would like to take a look again, and discuss a bit more privately. As soon as we stepped away we both agreed the tone of this place alone was enough to not purchase from them. The prices are competitive, but that’s about it. We went back inside, once again wandered around to find the salesman, told him we weren’t interested, and left. For a reference to time all of this happened within an hour.We bought a new 2021 CX-5 Grand Touring with the Premium Package the next week from a different dealership and are thrilled. Much better experience and we really did feel like the dealership cared to make sure we were informed on the vehicle and comfortable with our decision. Overall- if all you care about is price and you never have to go to the dealership again, you may enjoy your experience with this lot. If you are looking to be educated on the vehicles and receive customer service- go somewhere else.I’m never one to write reviews, but this was just such an odd experience that I felt compelled. I know things are busy right now, but a little time and friendliness goes a long way.

Bought a certified used CX-9 that was used as their loaner car. Only had 8K miles. It has a suspension issue on the front passenger side, and when we drove in from out of state to have them look at it only a month after we bought it they wouldn’t make any time for us to inspect the car. They took our information and never called us back to find a time slot to inspect the car. Terrible customer service.

Excellent service! We arrived early for our appointment but Chris is still able to assist us on the spot. He is friendly and professional, explained everything and went for a test drive. This dealership is pretty honest for the price/negotiation as they do offer me the price the other dealership offered after many many rounds of negotiating. We also trade in our old vehicle (our vehicle is in a bad condition) but they were about to offer me a few hundreds more just to help low my new car purchase price. The whole process takes about 2 hours and Chris even took the time to explain to us one more time for all the safety features before we hit the road home. A lot of sales don’t care about you no more after you sign that contract.Another amazing thing is that he called us a week later and check in to see if everything is okay! great service!I think there details are definitely important as if the car have any problem or maintenance you can always rely on them to have good service instead of rip you off.

This was my first *fun* car buying experience. Sales consultant Sonny Dulas was super helpful and friendly while I was deciding to purchase a pre-owned Mini Cooper Countryman from The Autobarn Mazda of Evanston. Closing the sale and the delivery process was quick, smooth, and zero hassle. There was even a party going on in the customer lounge while I was signing the paperwork! My vehicle was ready for me in the front of the showroom and was impeccably detailed. Not a high ticket purchase, but they made me feel as important and valued as any other customer.

Listen up. Corey Jackson is THE most sincere and pleasant sales guy you could ask for. We had gone to four other dealerships and been treated the way you think when you think used car salesmen so when we met Corey it was truly a breath of fresh air.We never felt pressured. I negotiated what I consider to have been a fair dealer price on a 2010 Honda Fit Sport with 58K miles on it. I recommend the place, but I would also aim to drive a hard (though fair) bargain. I did, and received what I consider to be a fair price. (Had I not driven a hard bargain, I would have overpaid.) I also had what I consider to be a good experience with my salesperson (Corey). I definitely recommend if you arent afraid to negotiate towards a fair price.

Mazda is the worst place to have your car service I had my car towed in Mazda to only find out my battery was dead I was told by Oscar one of the service guys my battery was low they will run a diagnosed for a $160 they to see what wrong and they would let me know it was my battery backup they called me back for another $160 to tell me that they want to run another diagnosed on the Timing cover so I call around to other dealers I was told the 1st diagnosed was supposed to cover everything under the hood the 1st time Mazda was trying to get over on me I reported them to better bureau service they have not gotten back in touch with me have not fixed my car I do not have any leak under my car because I parked in a private parking space so there was nothing wrong with my timing cap they was trying to get a 1000 and more out of Me for nothing I had my car move and it is running great all I needed was a battery Recharged

I got a new CX30 Select FWD that was priced lower than any other dealer in the area as far as I could tell from my research. The GM said hi which was a nice gesture. Great selection of cars to choose from and sales people are very nice. There were a few dislikes though.The first was a car they advertised and I called in about. I thought the whole time it was a bait as the car was marked about $10k then regular listings. Sure enough, there was an error in the listing.Test driving cars in the area is terrible. It is very congested with traffic and there are pedestrians everywhere.When closing on a car they will try and sell you everything under the sun. I was offered, GPS tracking if my car gets stolen, wheel insurance, extended warranty from a 3rd party, there were a couple others as well. They tell you the monthly cost so it seems low, but if you total in the final value, its around a $4k mark up. Luckily I caught all of that and decided to pass.They were also very stiff with negotiating, claiming to be the lowest in a certain radius ( I cant remember the distance). The best they could do was $500 lower. Although the car I bought was hard to find in that color way and I myself couldnt find any other that were similar online so I really cant blame them.I am happy with the car and how quick I was able to get out of there, however, all the add ons really put a bad taste in my mouth.

Where to start, first this place is like your typical dealership, where as when youre shopping for a car, they would be quick to respond, constantly keep in communication for as long as youre on the market for a car. Once they got your money, they will want nothing to do with you.This has to be one of the worst dealership experience I have ever had, I am happy with the car, but its people like these that are giving bad reputation to the brand that they are selling. Dont let their pleasant smiles and eagerness fool you, once they got your money, say goodbye to any form of communication. Follow up is key in building customer relations, this dealership gets 0 stars for that. Nice cars though.

We had a wonderful experience buying our new car here. Jeff Williams was great to deal with. He, along with the rest of the team were all incredibly friendly and helpful without even a smidge of pushiness. It wasnt at all like the stereotype of a car dealer. Everyone made us feel welcome and the finance manager was great with our three year old son, offering markers and paper to keep him busy during the closing. After the sale, Jeffs continued to reach out to make sure were happy and honestly, we couldnt be more satisfied with our experience here.

This review is LONG overdue. In 2011 I was fresh out of college and desperately needed an affordable vehicle for my first job relocation in Madison WI. I went to Autobarn Mazda of Evanston and purchased a used 2003 Mazda 6. I needed financing to afford the car since I was fresh out of college with no money to my name. I was told that it wouldnt be an issue and that Autobarn would help me apply for a loan. I was warned that dealership can often times run your info through a bunch of lenders and ruin your credit so I double check with the person in charge of loans at autobarn at the time and he PROMISED that would happen. I was approved for a high interest loan (26%!) and without any other options I signed. Within the year I paid off the loan but when going through the process of applying for a lease on an apartment I found out that my credit score was just above 500! I looked into and discovered that the Autobarn in evanston had run 16 hard inquiries on my account when searching for a loan. It took me years to get my credit score back up. NEVER GO HERE. Dishonest and will do anything for a deal. Even destroy a young persons credit for a $5k sale. You guys make me sick!

My wife and I just bought a car from the Autobarn Mazda of Evanston with the help of Jonathan and Ross. We had a HORRIBLE experience at Oak Lawn Mazda - we pretty much felt like we wasted two whole days and didnt get anywhere close to what we wanted to pay for a new vehicle.I decided to do some online shopping and found the perfect car at the Autobarn Mazda in Evanston. I submitted an online interest form and got an email and a phone call within the hour. Jonathan was SUPER easy to work with. He gave us a VERY reasonable price on the vehicle - as a matter of fact, he gave us a BETTER deal that what we originally asked for. That has never happened to me before. Jonathan responded very quickly and clearly so there was never any surprises when it came to the numbers.Jonathan and Ross even came to our condo in the South Loop to help me transport both of our trade-in vehicles. It took about an hour to get the deal finalized and sign the papers, and I was out of the dealership with a brand new car and a HUGE smile on my face. Ross even took his time to explain all the features of the car even though it was way past closing time for them.These guys are true professionals and I would highly recommend them. They really made our car-buying experience a pleasure and took all of the stress out of the equation.AWESOME JOB, FELLAS!

Maybe its because Im used to Canadian dealerships, but I will miss this dealer when I move back! The service is awesome, fast, and theres always plenty of space for appointments on Saturdays. The free car is nice (tho I get the trick... now I want that newer model!), and the BEST thing: they made me save a few hundred bucks twice already! Once by suggesting better cost/value on tires, and another time by just surprisingly telling me: Yeah, your warranty is over, but we could sneak that in, so its free.Im used to having my dealership inflate the bill, not make me save 200-500$! Awesome!!!

My son bought a used mazda from Autobarn yesterday and we had great service from Sam Levin. Sam kept the process moving, was able to multitask, did not use high pressure sales tactics, and answered all of our questions. I dont usually enjoy buying cars, but this was a seamless, pleasant process and if this dealership was closer to home, I would definitely consider buying from them again.

Picked up a nail while running errands late in the day setting off the low air in tire sensor. I was a bit concerned as I headed over to Mazda without an appointment. When I approached the desk in the car bay, the greeter was busy filling out paperwork and simultaneously another advisor arrived with yet more paper (Jay Rosenfeld). They started a discussion but stopped immediately when I approached. I said, no go ahead finish up as I did not want to interrupt. They both insisted on helping me right away. So I told them about the tire and then it was obvious to me by their discussion that they were eager to help. Jay assured me would take of the work. I was ushered into the waiting room and less than an hour later I left. They had found two nails and both were taken care of with a smile. Jay thanked me for being a return customer and that is precisely why I have bought my last 4 cars at Evanston Mazda. Their service is unbelievably good. The waiting area always has good coffee and cookies too! Thank you Jay, you made my day yesterday ;-) Scott

(This is a review for the dealership/sales dept; I havent had to service my vehicle yet, so no experience with the service department). We were greeted promptly on a Friday evening. Staff was genuinely friendly and put me at ease (Lewis Belcher was our salesperson). The process was low-pressure and extremely transparent, which added to my comfort when making such a big decision. Staff stayed late to ensure that we rolled out the door in our NEW car. The sales floor is clean, calm, modern, up-scale, which is refreshing in the car sales industry.

They did a wonderful job taking care of the car for the first time since I bought it. They cleaned it, fixed all of the issues I was having, and kept me well informed throughout the process. They seem to be a bit more expensive than the traditional auto shop but they do a nice job taking care of it, particularly if youre in a relatively new car thats still under its warranty like mine is.The only thing that could have been better was their method of scheduling. I had to bounce back and forth between 3 people about the parts and the time to drop off the car. When I brought the car in at the scheduled time they said they had no record of my appointment / vehicle and we had to start the process all over!

Walked in the door with an idea of what I was looking for. Jeff Williams was nothing but kind and helpful to make sure I knew what I wanted and got a great deal! Every gentleman here from start to finish made sure I was taken care of and genuinely cared about my decision and experience. They were great with financing. They printed us different options and explained everyone in detail so I knew exactly the fees and break downs of each one. This is my first Mazda and I couldnt be happier. Best Car ExperienceGood experience and car buying are generally not in the same sentence, until my experience at Autobarn Mazda Evanston. It was actually a great experience.My sales associate was Danny Bender. Danny is very personable and enthusiastic about Mazda, but has a laid back manner about him. He was great at follow-up communications and knowledgeable about the CX-5 I purchased. He was on top of everything throughout the process and I didnt spend an entire day at the dealership like I had experienced in other places. I think from test drive to driving off the lot was a total of about 2.5-3 hours.Overall, everyone I met at The Autobarn Mazda in Evanston from Sales, Finance, and the Sales manager were all great to work with. There were no high pressure tactics and I felt at ease during the entire process.I would definitely recommend Danny and team to anyone interested in purchasing a new Mazda.

We went there to drive test three used cars. The first couple ones had issues, but we liked the third one. a 2004 highlander with a 7500 $ price tag. we put an offer to take the car and pay it upfront. So, we gave an offer that is 2500 $ less. The salesperson was very nice and very professional. He took us back to the office, but he could not give us a response without his bosss input (the general manager) ... after he brought us the deal which included all fees and taxes, we told him that we made an offer… he went back to his boss and then they both came back.The general Manager ranted at me and my wife. He was almost yelling at us. After he stated his perspective of the deal, He mentioned that we spent 2 hours with his sales person, that our offer was not fair, and that we do not deserve that car.The general manager was rude and unprofessional…… after all, he failed to negotiate our offer because he never gave us an alternative one.Mr General manager, you had two serious buyers who were willing to buy upfront and negotiate a fair price for both of us, but you have failed to manage the situation. Instead, you got offended, you lost your temper, and you failed to make a deal or leave a lasting positive feeling about Mazda – Evanston. Please, let your salesperson handle it.

I bought a Mazda3 from Autobarn Mazda last week. We are from Canada and we basically had one and half days to find a car for our daughter (who will be working in Chicago). It was a wonderful car buying experience for us. All 3 guys (Cody, Daniel and sales manager Ross) were honest, upfront and spent the time required for us to make an informed decision. I would not hesitate to go there again for her next car if she will live there long enough. I hope the service team will operate the same way.

He was patient, helpful, knowledgable and courteous. He provided me with a very thorough test drive. He did not use high pressure sales tactics or try to rush me to make a decision.
