This is a quaint Mediterranean cafe. The seating is simple but quaint, it is medium sized, and the decor sports an incredible mural drawing (see pics) that adds to the ambience. They have a large selection of different teas and coffees of every type you can imagine, and delicious deserts including baklava and a variety of Turkish delight. They also have donuts, bagels, and a snack bar for kids or someone looking for something more generic like potato chips or Oreos. I tried the beef gyro for lunch and the slices were juicy and flavorful, and the creamy feta crumbles give it a unique and tangy taste. The salad in the gyro was fresh. The server was helpful and courteous. All in all, it is a very nice place for a small meal or desert, totally recommend.

Waiting in a two hour line at the BMV has never been so easy! Decided to check this cute cafe out and was so pleased. My favorite part is seeing the son prepare my drink and food. What a hard worker :) loved everything about it. And the burger was amazing

I have yet to be able to try anything from this place because they are never open. I have tried on five separate occasions. Their hours posted online and on the door dont seem to be accurate. I cant speak to what their food is like but their service is non-existent and unacceptable. Its honestly so off-putting and unprofessional that I will not be trying again.

Google says it’s open, we came and the doors are locked. No one is there. Highly disappointed was so excited to try this place with my family:(

Wonderful cafe with delicious Turkish delight. I had the falafel wrap combo, Turkish coffee, and some Turkish delight. The soup is a bit thin, but the wrap was excellent and very filling, so I highly recommend getting the wrap. I also really enjoyed the coffee with the sweets. Ill definitely be coming back here again.

I have no experience because they’re never open when I arrive. Their website says open monday-saturday. They’re closed Monday but actually open on Sunday when going through google. I come the third time on Sunday at 1:40pm when they close at 2pm and they’re closed early. 0 good expectations from a place that can’t do business during posted business hours or keep their own website up to date after trying 3 weeks in a row.

Came to try their Turkish coffee, and was nicely surprised by the Turkish delights. They had 25 flavors when I went. The double pistachio was excellent. I also had the schwarma combo, which was decently priced. The owner was very friendly, and the cafe wad nicely decorated

My family and I always get the fresh cracked egg sandwich and it’s amazing. We never stop talking about how good it is and almost every week we have to get one it’s so good. Plus their donuts are fresh and always delicious no matter what you get. Definitely the best donut shop in Franklin County!

My fav place for tasty Mediterranean food. The service here is friendly. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.

We asked for the cheese roll which is on their menu, website and Instagram and were told they didnt know what we were talking about. Also told there was no turkish delight. The donut was absolutely a day or two old. Lastly we ordered a sausage breakfast burrito and got home to discover it was turkey. Such a frustrating experience — Will not be back.

My mom and I ordered lunch from this restaurant through UberEats and we were incredibly disappointed with our experience. We were inclined to try this restaurant because the food looked pretty good on the UberEats app, but what we received in our order was not what was promised on the menu. We ordered the Citadel platter which was meant to be rice, choice of meat, hummus, a pita and a drink. We werent able to choose a drink from the beginning but it didnt bother us too much because we didnt really want one anyways. When we got our order there was no hummus, no pita, and no drink. I called to try and understand why we were missing items that we were expecting and the reasoning I got was we havent done that in a while followed by a contradictory we just got new ownership and are not able to change the information on UberEats or anything else as we do not have access to the passwords. I didnt know how to respond to that nonsense reasoning, so I got off of the phone. After trying the food, we were even more disappointed. It was old with cucumbers that were more water than they were food and little meat on the mountain of rice. Although my mom and I were able to do a buy one get one free deal through UberEats, it was still too much money for what this food was worth. I called back for a refund and was denied it due to it being too late after the food had left the store. After being put on hold for this associate to talk to someone about it, this rule was made up by the store owner because they felt that since we were able to get a meal essentially free, we shouldnt also be allowed to get a refund. When I pressed further, the associate I was speaking to hung up on me. I tried calling back a couple of times after the fact to see how they would handle the situation, and they just ignored my calls. Im not sure if this is how it has always been at this restaurant, as it does have a lot of great reviews, but this was beyond unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. New ownership or not, there was no excuse for this experience.

Never open despite what Google hours and the posted hours say. Ive tried 10 times to come to this place in the last year and each time they are closed.Very disappointing to show up and have your trip wasted.

Best chicken Shwarma i ever had to be honest. The bread they use is so thin and cooked in a unique way and also the chicken was delicious too. Must stop by its a unique looking cafe with a cool vibe.

A delicious hidden gem in Hilliard. I was almost overwhelmed by the massive amount of Turkish Delight and Baklava options - they have so many delicious looking choices I had to try several. WOW! Really really really good. Wonderful ownership and staff too. Check this place out!

Place was so horrible, I was a customer ordering a latte and saw one nice young lady employee being yelled at by the manager and treated with disrespect i don’t recommend any place that’s run by awful people!!!! And we were told to get off the tables outside also! They constantly beg for customers outside the Bmv such a bad experience.

Had the falafel and it was superb! Quaint place and great service! The baklava and the crumb cake are two of my favorites! A definite must go to place when your hungry!

Just OK. They weren’t busy, but wait time after ordering was LONG. Our party ordered the Shwarma pocket & fries, Falafel wrap & fries, and then just hummus with pita bread and a chai tea latte. The flavors were good on everything, but the red onions in the pocket and wrap were pretty overpowering. But flavors of the shwarma and falafels were really good. Both wraps were a little dry, would benefit a lot from adding some tzatziki, hummus, or other sauce. The pita and hummus came with a large portion of hummus, but very little pita bread. Our daughter said the latte was pretty good, comparable to Starbucks. Pretty pricey overall, our order was over $30. Just an average experience overall.

The owner at this location will go beyond the call of duty in making sure that one or all of their customers receive a satisfied food order. I had the gourmet coffee, strawberry smoothie and a wrap sandwich and believe me the middle eastern taste was included. I have no complaints, the venue was clean. The owners also came up with the idea to have live music/open mic every month that includes local performers to heard. What a wonderful idea, hey include me in.

A hidden little place with delicious food and great service. The owners are very friendly and recognized we were new to the place and brought free baklava samples 2 our table. The food is reasonably priced and came out in a reasonable time. Will definitely go back again and recommend it to anyone who likes authentic Mediteranean food, specifically the Turkish/Greek part of Mediterranean. I had the Beef Shawarma wrap with seasoned waffle fries and very good unsweetened ice tea.

Nothing but nice things to say about this place. The nicest owner you will ever meet, and great baklava and Turkish delights to snack on. My personal favorite so far is their Baklava Cappuccino... SO good!

Very friendly and kind person. There is a coffee here called a Turkish coffee that is a very respectable cup of coffee. I plan to bring my friends here before a big event or LAN party to fuel up. The salad was a real treat, flavorful and different-. The beef tasted delicious with earthy flavors. Very glad I came here.

The staff here are so friendly. I tried the falafel (best I’ve ever had) which they get from a local Mediterranean restaurant. What they don’t get locally, they have imported directly from Turkey. The Turkish Delight was chewy and perfect. I highly recommend trying this place out. Great coffee too!

Got a wonderful chai latte while I was here. Instead of being super heavy on spices like most places it was light and delicate in flavor and I absolutely loved it. I ended up leaving my purse behind and when I called back they had already put it in a safe place for me and were super kind and even remembered who I was when I came back to retrieve it.

I had heard great things about Citadel Cafe from colleagues, so I decided to give it a try. I was extremely happy that I did. The waitress took her time to answer my questions about some of the menu items, and provided very helpful guidance on my order. I tried the coffee and an assortment of baklava, that was AMAZING! I bought more desserts to take home. The prices were great as well. I highly recommend Citadel Cafe, and will definitely dine there again!

The food was great. I have never tasted falafel sandwich before, and it was too good. Also the tomato soup tasted authentic. The latte was creamy and heavenly. I would definitely suggest this place to everyone. And the most important thing, service was great.

Oh my gosh. This place is great. Warm, welcoming friendly staff, always excited to help with any question you have. Its only topped by the awesome food. Just today I was wanting something light and had their falafel salad which was fantastic and hit the spot. They also have a lot of amazing desert choices.

Very good place to eat! The roast beef deli sub is fantastic especially with a baklava cappuccino to wash it down! And the Turkish coffee is to doe for! Overall a very calm and relaxing place to be and spend your time a happy place if you will to the truest word!

Tiny Cafe in a strip mall but what a gem!!! they have an amazing assortment of Turkish delight... more that I knew existed! The artwork on the walls took the artist 40 days and takes your breath away! Great location!

They dont know their ingredients be aware if you have food allergies, I asked them ingredients of what they call tahini theres sesame ground in it.My children ended up emergency room that was a life threatening situation I advise them make sure you know your ingredients before you kill someone.

What a great little place! I was pulled in by their coffee sign after standing in the morning line at the BMV. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered Turkish coffee as its kind of hard to find. Their morning sweets offerings had me like a kid in a candy shop. Baklava of all different sorts, Turkish Delights of any flavor you could hope. The Turkish coffee was great and the Baklava was the best Ive ever had. I highly suggest this place even if its a little bit of a drive for you. Im looking forward to going for their lunch time offerings.

The Citadel Cafe is my new favorite coffee and tea shop! Friendly staff are welcoming and helpful in making choices from their unique menu of sweet and savory foods. My usual is a cup of green tea with a piece or two of delicious baklava with walnuts.

If you like falafel and you havent tried Citadel you are eating at the wrong place. Your taste buds will stay satisfied for a long time after youve eaten the falafel. The seasoning, the hummus, the pickles everything - the falafel is seasoned to perfection. Believe me I have tried other restaurants and the Citadel Cafe & Restaurant exceed them by far. Two thumbs up!

So I was at the BMV & when I was done I was starving. I saw this place right next to the BMV & I’m really happy that I decided to go in because it was really great customer service & amazing food!

The only thing about this place that wasnt disappointing was the staff. I ordered a beef shawarma wrap that was tasteless and burnt to a crisp. The tahini sauce tasted like watered-down hummus with horseradish. My wife ordered a rice platter that came out almost cold. The spinach pastry I ordered had clearly been microwaved and was soggy.

I just stopped in to get a coffee while my son took his drivers test. It was good and the pastries looked delicious. Ill be back another time with my husband for coffee and pastries.

This Cafe is wonderful and amazing and has good food. It has a great Turkish Delight. I tried their fresh donuts and fresh cream and mashroom soup.

I wandered in while in the shopping center. I got excited about the baklava in the case and bought a dozen pieces to take home- they had a special to get 2 extra pieces. I did get 3 varieties of baklava for 12 pieces that are decent and a couple of other dessert items. This wasnt what I expected. I tasted the first one and didnt like it. Well see about the other one.

Authentic Turkish coffee served here, and imported sweets. There also pastries from Der Dutchman available. Great staff and a cheerfully relaxed atmosphere. Not terribly expensive either!

Their falafel and shawarma wraps have good flavor. On top of that, you have very kind employees and owners who bring good service. Cant complain about that!

Coffee and dessert pastries were great, but the chicken noodle soup was bland and had no chicken what’s so ever. I would have also liked to see more than just cookies, soup and chips as side options. Falafel wrap was ok, but was a little dry and cold. I see this place having potential in the future so ill give it another try.

Ordered chicken shawarma platter for delivery and recieved no side of hummus and also it says it comes w basmati rice mine had spaghetti noodles also there were literally five little bite size pieces of chicken for 13.95 what a ripoff. . And the cheese bread thing was basically just a small loaf of bread w sesame seeds and mayne there was cheese in there somewhere. Soup was the best thing and it was ok at best.
