Just came home with a car yesterday. I worked with Edwin who was very helpful. This was my first time working with a dealership and he explained all the steps and helped me along the way. I would go back to work with him again if I need to.Update: It has been a month since I purchased a vehicle and while the vehicle is great, the temporary license plate is expiring and there has been no updates on when the license plates and registration will be coming in. I have sent emails and made several calls, all of which went to voicemail and I have yet to hear back on options to ensure my vehicle remains street legal until the license plates and registration can be sent to me.

Just had a horrible experience at the service department today. I purchased 3 cars from this dealership and today I took my 2019 atlas for service. The tension spring popped off on the rear wiper and after doing the appropriate research I came to find out there is a special tool that pulls off the rear wiper arm. The tool costs $15 on Amazon, I didn’t want to buy it because I don’t think I would ever use it again but that’s besides the point. The service department tells me that the wiper arm is broken and needs replacement. I clearly showed and explained that there is nothing broken, only the spring popped off and they refused me service. The advisor says I need to make another appointment and pay for the labor. All I asked was for them to pull off the arm and it couldn’t be done. My other complaint is the passenger mirror was hit while my car was parked in the street and the glass cracked. I came in about a month back and ordered replacement glass. When it came in it was installed by the service department. I recently noticed the the mirror glass vibrates a lot while I am driving therefore objects in the mirror become distorted. I brought this to their attention and they are telling me that there is interior damage of the mirror. There was no damage when they pulled of the old glass to replace it with the new, otherwise they would of said it right away. How can they tell if there is any damage without taking the glass off to see the inside. I am really disappointed with the outcome of this visit. I feel like I am being neglected and mistreated after being a loyal customer.

Edwin from Huntington VW was super helpful in my car purchasing process. He was never pushy, but kept asking what he could do to help me out in the process. He was doing everything he could to help make the process easy, and it was a very great one. I never write reviews but if you need to get a car, this is the place to go and Edwin is the sales person you want. All of my questions were answered, and I’m extremely happy with the service he gave. Fred the manager was also super helpful and friendly. Everyone at this dealership is knowledgeable and takes pride in what they do and it’s obvious. I can’t wait to send my family and friends here. Thanks again!

I test drove a $39,000 vehicle and expected to pay sticker due to the chip shortage. When discussing the price, the salesman hands me a piece of computer paper with the following handwritten: “market price - $43,500, our price $42,000” 😂 Save yourself the time and just go to Platinum Volkswagen.

This is specific to their service department -Ive been coming to this service center for warranty and oil change work since 2016, long after I stopped working nearby this dealer, I still come out of my way to this dealership simply because they offer a level of care and detail that the VW service centers in NYC simply dont care to match.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP !!!!Horrible Customer Service. The sales rep I spoke with, hates his job so much and had no intention of selling the car. I booked an appointment for test drive and arrived on time. However, the sales rep gave many excuse to prevent me from a test drive. There was a very long wait before I can test drive. He hesitated to answer basic questions about the car model. He walks away while I am speaking with him for no reason. If there is a benchmark for poor customer service I would nominate this dealership.If you are interested to buy Volkswagen never visit this dealership else you will hate the VW brand.

As always the perfect service, I am a customer for life with VW of Huntington because of their excellent customer service, excellent service in the shop by Jose, always a pleasure to visit. Whatever needs to be done on my Passat issue is resolved in timely manner with a reasonable cost. I have never had any bad experiences with this dealership from the sales department, finance department and service department everything went smoothly. I didn’t want to leave a bad review but this place deserves one. I visited back in January and today is May 24th & I’m still being contacted by text by the same salesman at this location, even AFTER I told him multiple times I’m not interested. I called in to kindly ask to remove my information from their contact list & the receptionist was beyond rude & nasty to me over the phone. She lied and said everyone at that location is working from home & there was nothing she could do, then hung up on me. I called back and spoke to Gabriel from the sales department & he was very nice & a pleasure to speak with. He said he would take care of it & no one at that location works from home anymore.

Would give 4 or 5 stars if not for a fumbled spare key.The dealership has a nice selection of models and I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. I was able to negotiate the price to something I was comfortable with. Delivery and demonstration were satisfactory. Initially, I did not receive a spare key, but I was promised one by my sales rep, Derek. For a month I had been trying to get in touch with him to ask about the key. A few times I was able to talk to him directly I was told one excuse or the other. Frankly, I was offended by lazy explanations, like voice mail being broken or delays caused by shipping of the keys from Germany. I gave up to avoid further aggravation. If you can find you car elsewhere, avoid this place.

Whoever sits at the front desk/handles the operating line lacks much needed knowledge. You dont hang up on individuals when they are expressing their concerns unless of course, its in your nature to be blatantly rude. Extremely poor customer service and a very sad representation of a dealership that otherwise was great.

Buyers beware!!! The dealer charges a ridiculous appearance care fee of $450 and they dont tell you about it. You negotiate the selling price (and it is only $250 off the MSRP) but they secretly sneak in the fee for $450. Its called total protection. They would go through the contract so quickly without mentioning it and tricked you into paying the deposit and signing everything. Dont go there! If you do, make sure there is no total protection of $450 in the contract!

Terrible experience. I went there today to get a Taos SEL. The value that they quote in their webpage was 34k, however the seller told me that he wanted 38k “covid times” he said. I pointed out the price in their webpage. He said he did not care about that price. After negotiation I was able to come to an agreement for a lease of 39 months that sounded reasonable despite the inflated price. We transfer my insurance and everything. After that they said they were ready to sign the contract. I was told to go to the “financial officer”. After I shake off a protection plan that he wanted to pin on me. He asks for 4K down, when the seller told me 0. I explain that is not what o agree with the seller. He just says “ok, we have no deal then”. I talked to the seller he claims the 4K down is standard. Even when he did not write that on the deal we had. I asked him what should I do now with my insurance. He tells me is my job to call them and cancel the transfer. What a scam!Update: they charged 500$ in my card. I have been calling all day. They said they are busy and cannot connect me.

The Service Department was great. I used to visit the Sayville location but I was never able to get in touch with someone. I called this location and followed prompts to actually speak with someone. I scheduled an appointment with Jose and had my 2013 Tiguan brought in a few days later to repair the roofs draining system and a worn out push start button. I originally bought the car from Carvana and Jose was more than knowledgeable on how to handle the situation. He explained everything to me, provided updates along the way and was a great advocate on my behalf when speaking to my warranty provider. Instead of just repairing the leak or replacing the part, they made sure it wouldn’t happen again. I drove away feeling confident that my car was well taken care of. Overall great experience!

I came into this location yesterday, I’m looking for a third row vehicle and the Atlas keeps catching my eye. I’ve never owned or purchased through VW before. I walk into the small showroom with my 1 yr old and stroller. Not one person greets me, or asks if I need anything...fine, don’t really care. Then, I ask the receptionist if I can speak with someone regarding the Atlas etc..she sends a sales rep, Eli to come help me. Getting any valuable or useful info from him was impossible. Couldn’t provide anything regarding price, no estimates, no ball parks, no - “I can’t tell you without sitting down and running the numbers, but people with good credit are getting these cars for ...” no info whatsoever. Except the difference between two models. I asked for something to look at with numbers or pricing. He gave me some paperwork on the vehicles that I could’ve printed out myself. Keep in mind, I told Eli I’d be looking at a finance to buy option, and trading in my Jeep. He seemed beyond inconvenienced that I was asking him questions. His personally was short and not friendly at all. I will 100% be taking my business and money elsewhere. I’d advise new or perspective buyers to take this into consideration. There are plenty of dealerships on LI that treat you like you’re buying a car. There was literally nothing good about my first and only visit to this dealership.

Terrible service and terrible car. I will never get another Volkswagen. We have had a continuous issue with the key being unable to start the car. I have never seen this before and this is an absurd technology, leaving us stranded- because the car wont start, even though there were no mechanical problems with the car. Then, days later, the key works again. Absolutely unacceptable and unnecessary!I have a regular ignition key, but, if the battery dies in the door remote, the car wont start. I have been told it was the battery so I changed the battery and it happened again. Then I was told the remote had to be reprogrammed ( upwards of $100 and a lot of time). Subsequently I was told that my two remotes were defective and that I had to purchase another remote- another $120 plus reprogramming. I have now waited for weeks to receive the remote I ordered and paid for and no one answers the phone or returns messages. Its a good thing we are a 2 car family or we would have had no car. But wait, I then tried to use my Volkswagen to jump start our other vehicle and for some reason, for 2 years, Volkswagen decided to reverse the polarity of their battery terminals (I didnt know what this meant but learned the hard way)- Red-to-red and black-to-black with jumper cables to the battery on both vehicles- shorted out my electrical system in our second car. Another tow and, three days without a car and $600 I had my other car back. Trying to get reimbursed from Volkswagen but of course no reply. Whatsoever.

This review will explain the poor customer service and loyalty I received as a Volkswagen customer.Upon signing my lease back in 2018, Fred Recchia, the financial sales manager had specified my first two oil changes would be completely free. My first oil change was in fact comped, however when I came in for my second one, the service department did not honor my contract agreement, they explained I was over my mileage for an oil change and that I had to pay. I explained the initial agreement and they told me they had nothing to do with that and I had to speak with sales. I went back to Fred, confused and upset because the amount of mileage was never specified or discusses. When I started to question him, he was very rude and began to lecture me about mileage and oil changes. His tone was demeaning and condescending. FYI, no where in our first meeting upon signing the lease, did he explain the details of when I would have to come in for my first or second oil change. (This was my first car so I did not have prior knowledge.)Regardless of the matter, he did not handle himself professionally and did not care to assist me further or even apologize for the miscommunication and for going back on our agreement. I told him I was displeased with his customer service and he told me “that is your opinion.”Be careful if you decide to sign a lease with Fred in the Huntington location because he will promise you whatever you want and then a year or two later will pretend he said otherwise. Unfortunately will not be returning back for service or a new car.

DO NOT PURCHASE OR RENEW YOUR LEASE. We are now on our 5 car with them and their service DOES NOT CARE about its customers. They pride themselves on 5 star customer service and they speak to you as if you have no clue. Completely rude service staff and management. We will never purchase another vehicle from them. We we told our sales person this he said “okay” sorry to hear that. Listen in today’s world you do not treat your loyal or ANY customer like dirt.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the car I got from Huntington VW. It couldn’t be more perfect...but Shawn Baron the General Sales Manager, made the experience extremely unpleasant. Of note, Richie and Fred were excellent, accommodating, and professional-- Shawn is lucky to have them because in comparison, he has alarmingly poor customer service skills and treats customers so inconsiderately. He completely inconvenienced us in several ways, he knew this to be true, and blatantly did not care. Was also rude and arrogant in speaking to us-(good thing they usually keep him in the back where he doesnt interact with and push away paying customers) My best advice: make sure you go to this dealership when Shawn Baron is out of the office.

Came here today to check out the new atlas. Walked in and not even a hello from anyone! Usually at car dealerships there’s someone that comes up to you asking if you are being helped. After 10 minutes I asked the receptionist if I could get someone to show me an atlas outside and she said to waits few minutes so I said I’d be waiting outside and she said no problem. Waited another 20 minutes or so and my husband got annoyed so we left and went to bmw instead. Bought a car in cash. Sorry VW, have better service. You lost an easy customer.

If I could give them a minus review I would. They advertised a Certified Passat for a fair price. Not great mind you, fair. I went and test drove it and was ready to buy, but then came the fees. They wanted 1,295 to certify it even though it was advertised as a certified vehicle, A 495.00 dealer prep fee? This was not a new car. Prep fees are charged on new vehicles. A 395.00 doc fee. Overall they added over 2,000.00 to the price.I purchased a certified VW from a dealer in NJ when I lived there a few years ago and they tried the same thing. When I threatened to contact the corporate VW office they dropped all of the fees except the doc so I purchased it. I would have done the same today. Bottom line STAY AWAY

They were calling me nonstop everyday regarding my 2018 VW Atlas and it’s 11 recalls. I was finally able to take a day off to bring the car. I called and scheduled to drop it off on a Saturday morning and spoke to someone who assured me there would be a loaner for me to take since my car “would be there for a while”. I drove an hour to get to this location, only to be told “oh well we don’t have any loaners. None of them were returned on time”. The service guy (who was wearing a soccer jersey, didn’t manage to get his name) didn’t even seem bothered and just said “well then you can leave or figure out what you want to do”. So now, I lost a day of work, drove an hour there and an hour back and my car still has 11 recalls on it LOLSucks that this is the dealership my car is from. I love my car but would never recommend this dealership to anyone. Save yourself the trip.

My VW Tiguan broke down (transmission problems) the first time I drove it after coming home from the dealership. I was at the beach with my kids, car seats and all of our beach stuff stranded in the parking lot after the car was towed. I requested the sales manager to have a loaner brought to me since the car only had 47 miles on it. He told me he couldn’t do that because only the service department could give out loaners. He was the sales manager! He couldn’t do anything? The middle of a pandemic and he was unwilling to even get on the phone with me. Only communicated through back and forth with his receptionist.They had my car for over a month. No communication with me unless I called over and over. Finally customer care got involved after I left a bad review. This dealerships customer service is truly the worst I’ve experienced in all my years leasing a car. I’ve leased approx. 7-8 cars over the years. The sales manager is rude and condescending. The salesman, Jim was knowledgeable and nice, he is the only one in the dealership who apologized when this happened. He felt awful.A total nightmare.

Since buying my GTI 5 years ago now, my service advisor Jose and my techs Mike and Chris are always a pleasure to deal with. My car is always serviced/repaired right the first time and left in the same condition it was brought in. Anything that has to be removed is always put back like new, no scratches, nicked trim etc. The waiting room is spacious, the rest rooms are spotless,, and the wi-fi works great. Coffees not bad either.

Drove here in an emergency during a rainstorm because my wipers were dancing on the glass. They had my wipers in stock and replaced them for me 1-2-3. Only downside is that they cost a fortune, but they’re imperative to see when it’s raining or if you need to spray the glass with the wiper lever. Beautiful facility by the way.

I had a very unpleasant experience with this dealership. My wife was interested in the Golf R. We called around to several dealerships looking to set up a test drive. Since this car is special order some dealerships did not have it and others would not allow a test drive. My wife called Huntington Volkswagen and they told her they had 1 and she could drive it. Since other dealerships had said they dont test drive that particular car we called back twice to confirm we would be able to drive it and both times we were assured we could. We traveled 45 minutes to the dealership and sure enough we were told they have the car but do not allow test drives. Of course we were upset and let them know it but were met with nothing but excuses and empty apologies. They even went so far as to say if we committed to purchasing it, we could then test drive it. Totally nonsensical! This is the typical bait and switch tactic that gives the auto sales industry a bad name. They will say anything to get you there, but if they get you there under false pretenses why would you give them your business. We went elsewhere and were offered to drive something similar to get an idea of what the R would be like and ended up ordering the car from them. Very unprofessional and dishonest!

Business must be good!!??Our lease is coming up on our car and decided to start the search on the Strip of car dealerships.This was our second dealer in the morning that we visited and as we walked in a group what I assumed were employees were gabbing at the front of the dealership and the receptionist eating lunch/breakfast.No one seem to acknowledge our presence in the show room and as we stood there we were finally able to get the attention of a salesman as he walked by us.We told him we were interested in a GTI with a manual transmission. He takes off and returns with an automatic car. Takes off again and now returns with an manual transmission.During the test drive he divulges us with uninformed opinions and than drove the final nail in the coffin stating that there are no discounts because this is a specialty car. Since this would be our Third GTI we knew this to be so far from the truth it is almost laughable.We ran as fast as we could.

Had to get my car serviced and I took it to Volkswagen of Huntington, best customer service. I work in customer service so I know how hard it can be dealing with people, but these guys go above and beyond! They explained all the services they had to do and walked me through the whole process. They broke down the costs of everything and even notified me what was covered through warranty. I was able to not break the bank and get everything done to my car! They were very patient and even offered a loaner. It was a very smooth transaction. I will say that I will be definitely going back to get all my car services done!

Extremely disappointed. I would rate a zero if possible. I usually use the Smithtown VW for my purchases and service however I visited the Huntington VW service department as it is closer to my home. When I checked their website it indicated that oil changes were 59.95. My service rep however said I would have to pay 99.95. When the service rep looked at my coupon he said that it was an old ad (that I was actively viewing from their website) and that it didn’t apply to my vehicle. I asked to speak with a manger who said he couldn’t honor it and that if he did, he’d be taking a loss. This is sadly not the first time I’ve experienced disappointment from this dealership.Upon leaving, I called smithtown VW, made an appointment for later today. I asked if they had any specials for my vehicle type and I was told 69.95. I said great, thank you.I have purchased 4 Volkswagen vehicles. ( 3 from smithtown, 1 from Huntington) I am due to purchase my 5th. I will not use Huntington VW. I will sadly not use my local dealership and drive 1 hour away so that I can receive superior customer service. It’s kind of sad that associates are not able to make common sense decisions for the sake of good business practices.

Just leased a 2019 VW Atlas. Jim Doyle was my salesman and I cannot say enough nice things about him!! He made the whole process from start to finish seem less and straight forward. So down to earth, had a sense of humor and kind. Listened to what I wanted to make the deal be sealed the first day I went there. Confirmed two hours before arriving that a car was on the lot as advertised on the web with salesman Ritchie however when I arrived the car was not there. I believe it was a bait car as the car is still on the web advertised by VW of Huntington . Do not trust this dealership. Review everything in writing to reflect what was said to you. Volkswagen of Huntington is the most professional dealership I have ever stepped foot in. The minute I came in they greeted me with respect showed me the car I was interested in. Dont use their Service Department. Dishonest and will try and gouge you for ever penny. Dont allow any work to be done on your car until theyve provide an extensive explanation and have shown you what exactly needs to be replaced and what the damage is. I would Also recommend that you ask them to show you the work performed. Myself, Ive given them every chance to prove me wrong, but I will not be using their services any longer.

I recently bought a CPO passat there. The whole experience is decent, the price is good and the car is good. They do charge a unexpected large amount of fees when I ask for the details, but then the negotiation part was fun. The stuff there are helpful and responsible. Jose and Chris really did a good job. Chris give me a really thorough introduction about every button on the car, which I really needed.The one thing Im not happy about is the car is it is dirtier on the inside than I expected, and they did do another (or may be the only one) clean up right before they handover the car. It was still not really the best work.I guess that is why if you check all the reviews there, the buying experience is always good or great, and the service experience is not so much. In general, it is a nice dealer.

I for one love this dealership. I have been going there for years and never once had a problem(no scams or issues - its given cars will have problems sometimes, its not their fault). The services are great, they even washed my car for me! Colleen and Jose are honestly the nicest people you will meet in services, they are very friendly and a great help when my old car was having issues. Jessica was also a great help with helping me find the perfect car in sales; she was very friendly and informative. She was definitely one of the deciding factors that lead to me getting a new car. I would recommend VW of Huntington 10/10.

Do not lease your car here. Go anywhere else but here. They are not transparent, rude, and unaccommodating. They wont let you return your car due to their policy that they need to focus on selling on the weekend and no salesperson is going to help anyone whos there to return the car. This is leaving a really bad taste in my mouth and never wanting to get a VW again. Now ill have to go to another dealership THREE hours away despite the schedule was confirmed on two different occasions. Ill be reporting this to the customer service at VW but not expect much to change because this dealership is its own business. I recommend this place if you want your day to be ruined and be on a call with rude front desk who will tell you that Fred, one of the managers, will return the call at his discretion if and when he feels like it. I get that this is like any other business driven by sales but I assure you they will not get one more sale from me and i will plead and advocate as much as i can for anyone else to not end up in my situation.

I leased a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan from the Huntington dealer. I had no problems with the car, but when it was time to return my lease I had the worst experience with customer service and also the finance department they were not helpful nor accommodating to me, in both parties hung up on me. This experience left a very bad taste in my mouth not to ever want to lease again.

Could never get in touch with my salesmen, only through email. It drove me crazy! Got my car with no gas in it. Never got my spare key, salesmen kept lying saying its coming (its been 3 months). Had to go there in person multiple times, finally got to speak to the manager and just when I thought I might be getting somewhere I wasnt. Its been 3 weeks since I spoke to the manager and I still dont have a spare key. No update, no call, no email. Nothing.

Got an oil change, tire rotation, and state inspection. They applied a coupon without me even asking. Service was great, the whole place was immaculate, and I was out in less than an hour. They even covered the drivers seat with a plastic wrap to keep it clean. Smooth as could be.

Like every other modern car buyer in 2020 I asked for information on a Jetta lease online first to get a standard quote. Not a first car or only car in my driveway so I totally get that its not going to be a dealerships final price but that doesnt mean a buyer cant have an idea first right?.... They either have staff that doesnt want to be there or has no idea how to sell a car.5 people emailed me. A maliyah, nasif, nisa, lourde, and another anonymous sender, saying the same things and not a single answer to my questions on a lease. Got an email from a manager later on but I assume its automated because that never got a response either even when I asked for his contact. Why would anyone want to go here if they cant answer questions and every other dealership will give you a basic quote?

I drove by the dealer and that they had a certified used Golf R. I called the dealer to set up a time to go and test drive the car. I was told that the Golf R is not available to test drive. I understand that it a performance model, but I can go to Porsche and test drive a car there. I told the person I spoke woth that I am a 45 year old teacher/professor. I would think that would speak to a level of maturity. I am not sure who would spend almost 40K for a car and not test drive it.

I brought my car in to have a window checked. It would not stay up...up then down, up then down. I was told a specialist had to check it out..$200.00. Then, additional $$$ to have it repaired. Huh?? No thanks. I took it to Tilden on 110. They were great. Squirted some oil in the mechanism and it works perfectly. $35.00 for their time.

I have been coming to this particular location for about 5 years now, even though I have one closer to my home I always find myself here at this location. My loyalty is to the people I feel most comfortable with, and for the 5 years I have been going there I have yet to have a bad experience. The team has changed from time to time but the experience has not. I usually deal with the desk guy ... I think his name is Wilson, he is professional and always keeps it real when it’s time to get something done I don’t feel pressured into the purchase. I did have an issue once with a coupon mailer that had a few things wrong but Wilson got the manager Melvin who quickly took care of the situation, truly making me feel valued and appreciated. I will continue to come to this place until they rub me the wrong way but after 5 years I can’t see that ever being the case. Thank you Volkswagen!

Wow! We just walked in and a salesman jumped on us! We wanted to find out if the guy we bought cars from couple of times in the past still there and can help us again! He said we must buy a car from him, and once we said we must not- he really got aggressive! We had two little kids with us and the way he was talking to us- we seriously got scared! I wanted to return a leased VW that I leased from a different dealer. VW of America told me that I could return the vehicle to any authorized VW dealer. When I called to arrange the vehicle to be droppedOff they told me they do not accept vehicles that were not leased by them. I actually called twice to make sure that there was not some sort of mistake. After bouncing me around to 4 or 5 different people I got the same response. They would not take my leased vehicle because it was not originally leased from them. Because of their refusal to take back my leased vehicle I had to incur extra time and expenses taking the vehicle another 40 miles to the next dealer. Unacceptable. I will never buy a car or lease a car from them. The dishonesty is astounding because after reading my review the management LIED in their response to me. They never wanted to take my leased car back unless I leased or bought a new vehicle from them!This proves beyond a doubt they are dishonest. DO NOT trust them!! Ever!!

My wife and I visited the dealership today to look at the Tiguan and were assisted by Jose Silverio. Jose was extremely patient and answered all of our questions. My wife is someone who doesn’t make decisions quickly and needs time to weigh all options and he tailored his approach to make her feel comfortable.
