Hard to work with and uninformed, snarky people answering their phones. They do not have a complete knowledge of their own products, nor do they stock necessary oxygen equipment which is readily available online. My insurance requires I use them as my oxygen provider or I would definitely switch. I’ve had to call multiple times to get my orders straightened out.
Apria deserves no ones business. Have spent hours on the phone with their customer service over the last year for the same issue over and over again...a simple thing like entering insurance information into there system they continually do wrong and never correct it. They will never let you talk to anyone in supervision and just read from their canned list of answers. Nothing ever gets resolved with this company. They deserve 0 stars, but that is not an option.
I absolutely can not recommend this company to anyone. Started my service 3 days ago the first concentrator they delivered failed as soon as he plugged it in. He went back to the truck got another and it lasted 8 hours before failure. The third one failed last night and now on the fourth. The automated phone line is a joke be prepared to spend 20 minutes or more pushing buttons before being put on hold to wait for a representative. If you don’t have to use them I recommend staying away.It was a rough start with this company have been with them now for about a year and things have gotten better. However their phone system sucks you can spend 20 minutes navigating menus and still not get results. My doctors started me out on liquid O2 and after 3 weeks I decided that it was not working to my satisfaction. I had my doctor switch me back to gas O2 and they still tried to deliver and charge me for liquid for about 6 months. Overall still unsatisfied with the company.
I had a very pleasant experience with customer service. They answered promptly, were courteous and anticipated my needs. I have had very good overall service from them.
Where should I start? Maybe it is best to keep it short and straight: they took my money by lying to me - just avoiding the term. In April I sent an order for a CPAP machine and they told us they were working with my insurance. Then in May, they said Oh, we are not. They asked me to pay one month of service since my insurance would not. Yes, buy from us and we will lie to you and take your money anyway. Great job guys! Please never ever do business with them! My humble suggestion. I am not sure why I still have to give them a star!Update: Yes, indeed they did contact.Same statements on their yet another fault: their pickup person did not take equipments from me when I gave them to him and I am the one being blamed. No comments on the issue above.By the way I did not ask for it. Apria acknowledging their own faults? Laughable. I am writing here to warn other patients stay away from them.Apria, do not pretend that you reach out to patients to “resolve” your own faults. DO NOT BOTHER ME EVER AGAIN!
Was having surgery the May 8th so my doctor wrote a prescription for a wheel chair. I received the wheelchair on the 5th of May. When delivering the chair they had forgotten the legs, the driver told me they would overnight them to me. On Thursday the 7th I still had not got the legs so i called the location to find that they would be delivering them on the 8th day of surgery. On Saturday the 9th I called the location and a answering service was telling me that they were going to be delivering the legs to the wheel chair on Monday. Here it is on Monday May 11th and no legs for me to have mobility after surgery on Friday. I call the office and answering service answers says there is a work order for them to be delivered tomorrow on the 12th. I told her that they have been telling me this since the 5th. She apologized and read through the notes and said that she can expedite the order and I said no that they told me that on Saturday to no use. I then told her to just come and pick up equipment and I will go to the local Norco and get the supplies that I need. My wife went to town and had rented all the items I needed without no difficulty from Norco. I sure wish they had better customer service and follow through, and Apria might me a better service Provider
I, like most of the other reviewers, would prefer giving this horrible company a negative rating. Heres the thing...people need your service to LIVE. To Breathe. To Survive. My father had unexpected emergency surgery. Your team came to the house and seemed inconvenienced to set it up. My ill father was up every hour to check on his oxygen because it was not filling the tanks. We called this morning and were told a third party would help. Its almost 6pm, and no one has come by. I cant believe your owners and management are proud of this (especially after read all these horrible reviews). Our family cant handle this drama right now. Our mom was tragically killed in a car accident 4 months ago and stuff like this is just plain horrible. Do the right thing, Apria.
To begin with, trying to reach a real person on the phone is extremely frustrating! It takes 20-30 minutes. Then hard to understand them and cant get good answers.Today the concentrator stopped working 3 times. When I called, I was told a replacement would be here within 4 hrs.. After 4 1/2 hrs I called back and was told it would be delivered within 5 MORE hrs. I had to change tanks several times and was running low on them. After yelling to a supervisor, was told they would be here within the hour. A very nice person came, exchanged the concentrator and replaced the empty tanks. Only took 7 hrs to get it finally replaced. This is the 4th replacement concentrator in about 2 months. This certainly does not give me peace of mind. Will be looking for a better company to do business with. Apparently Apria does not care about their customers.
This has been the worst experience ever with Apria. We traveled to Denver so the wife could get a bone marrow transplant. She had only been on oxygen as needed but after the transplant the doctors ordered her to be on oxygen. Apria then tells us we have to drive 22 minutes each way to pick up the equipment (there is 3 major hospitals within 8 blocks from where we are staying). The doctors office calls them and they deliver the equipment and they said it would be no issue picking it up. When I called they said we have to bring it to them or we can NOT get oxygen out of town again.
This company is incredibly difficult to deal with.Their game is to get as much money as they can out of insurance before they are practically forced to come get their equipment.
Please for your own sanity do not deal with this company. For more than two months I have been trying to get medical supplies. They needed authorization from the Doctors office but refused to call them. The fax machine does not work so they have to send someone to get papers from the different doctors and when you think all is well they will bill your CC without telling you. Please stay away.
My insurance gave me a list of options for getting a breast pump... my baby is almost 3 months old and still have not received it.. I have called multiple times and every time I do they seem like they can’t find my info and have no idea what I’m talking about and then it is excuse after excuse... so frustrating. Never going here again!!!
Absolutely horrible. When I go into the office the people there are very nice and helpful. However, I have had surgery and cannot drive. When I try to phone them, I cannot get a number for the local office. The representatives are from another country and do not speak very good English. We cannot communicate. Every time I have tried to deal with them, I have been on hold for 30 minutes to an hour. They have gotten my orders mixed up and have sent supplies to my house that I have already gotten. I am waiting for supplies and they say its because of insurance problems. My insurance company knows nothing about this.
Tried to fill a prescription for a breast pump for my wife. The person at the desk claimed that they accepted my insurance, but when they attempted to fill the prescription they found that to not be the case. This in itself doesnt bother me, what really got me to make a poor rating was that instead of calling to tell me they simply didnt contact me. I waited several days until I called them to verify the status, only to find that the order was cancelled as they dont work with our insurance provider. Very unprofessional
They sometimes use couriers for delivery and you cant get an ETA. Been waiting since 9 am and its 6:57 pm and still not here. Called 4 times and the last time they said they would be here by 9 pm. I told Anna that was unacceptable so she called the Denver office and set an appointment for 4:30 PM to 7pm and still a no show. They dont care about their clients, its all about money. Im going to report them to the BBB and contact a lawyer. This is the 5th time in 2 years that they didnt deliver on said date.
I had an absolutely terrible experience with Apria. I broke my leg earlier this summer and needed surgery. I ordered a wheelchair to use while recovering and it was the most difficult and upsetting process to actually recieve the wheelchair. Numerous phone calls were placed to ensure that the wheelchair would be delivered to the hospital after my surgery. I ended up breaking down and crying on the phone by the fifth call (probably partially due to the pain killers from the surgery) but I couldnt leave the hospital until they came! When they finally arrived, they realized they had the wrong detachable legs for the wheelchair and had to go back and get the right ones. It was awful. When someone is going through something that requires medical equipment, it is safe to say they are already going through a lot. The incompentcy of this company added so much unnecessary stress to my experience. I am dreading calling them to pick up the wheelchair since getting them to drop it off was so terrible.
Apria is one of the worst companies Ive ever had to deal with. Incompetent corporate staff compound the issues. I am still receiving statement notifications monthly from them, despite having explicitly pointed out to multiple of their personnel that I am no longer their customer, on top of the bi-weekly junk physical mail asking me to opt in to their horrible resupply program that sent me a single shipment over the course of three years. As a helpful tip for people, you can just buy your supplies on Amazon for cheaper. There is no reason to use this company.
The delivery guys are the best!! ☆☆☆☆☆ for them, but getting woken at 9:00 pm Please dont send anyone at 8:30, IN fact please have the local office call me, I would like to talk to J.D.. They didnt listen and sent some poor delivery guy at 9:00!!! 😑I have had the same issue with my CONCENTRATOR that sounded like it was crushing cars. I wish Kaiser would contract with someone else.😵
Very poor customer service. I have called 5 times requesting an itemized invoice and I have been given 5 different responses. I still have not received what I have been requesting for 8 days. Now I have asked to speak to a supervisor but he is busy with another frustrated customer. He told the gal in customer service that he would tell me the same thing customer service told me, so there is nothing for him to discuss with me. WOW
Apria does not deserve one star, No stars, the worst company. If you need oxygen delivered good luck.Im contacting Fox News Problem Solvers.
Rude customer service. They were suppose to call me when my item was ready for pick up. Even though I had the paperwork with me, I was told they need to send it in and get authorization. I then get a phone call from them saying it was approved and they would deliver it by 7:30 PM. I said I could just pick it up. So back to Apria to get my prescription. But it was a store in Redmond that it was approved for. So once again my local store would not sell to me. So still without my breathing machine.this is lifesaving medical equipment and all they care about is the bottom line...cash to them
RUN AWAY!!! Im in the 2nd month of working on getting a Cpap unit. What a mess. LOL look at all the Reviews. One star is way to much credit.
Doesnt deserve ANY stars!!Absolutely WORSE company EVER!! Scheduled pickup of equipment n was suppose to call morning of pickup - never received call n when I called Apria again that day then they informed me its contracted to 3rd party and they have no way to get in touch with 3rd party - YEAH RIGHT!Same problem again today concentrator is suppose to be serviced - still have NOT received call as to what hours gonna be in area and oh yeah it is contracted to 3rd party again and Apria has no way to communicate with 3rd party. Have called Apria 2x today and still waiting, waiting, waiting and waiting.UNBELIEVABLE that we are tied to our home cuz this company and contractor customer service sucks..
My wife and I have a premature baby. She requires oxygen to live. Kaiser contracts with Apria Denver. So far we have gone a week without grips to hold her oxygen on her face and a week with out the senses to monitor her heart beat and oxygen levels. Then when they have made the past 3 deliveries they have dropped off the wrong items. I have given them the product codes and still they cannot figure out how to get it to us.I feel like this company has service providers that have no idea what they are selling and providing. To leave a family with this type of care is a criminal act.
On march 8,2018 I went in person to drop off my prescription for CPAP supplies. With the insurance I have I had to go through Apria. I get told that they need my records from my previous supplier and to get records from the sleep study place. If I had known this before going I wouldve brought the stuff from the sleep center. They said they will call my previous supplier and get everything taken care of. Ive have done all the work to get everything done. I need my supplies sooner rather than later. so Im trying to make things easier for myself. Here it is a month later and I still dont have my supplies. The people I have spoke with have been friendly but they are not go with follow through.
The most unreliable argumentative inept company I have ever dealt with. The customer is the best part of Apria is their company cliche and believe me to most of them it’s just a cliche. That’s not to say all of their employees are bad though my regular delivery driver is excellent and their a few others. Just be prepared to change companies if you done like drama!
My 75 year old mother was released from the hospital diagnosed with heart failure and pneumonia on Dec. 28, 2014. We were told to call Apria when we got home to order oxygen. I did and was told someone would call us the next morning due to the late hour, 9:00 PM.The next day we had not heard anything so I decided to call them back at 2:00 PM . Again, I was told we would be taken care of. Meanwhile my mothers oxygen tank was depleting. While at her post hospitalization appointment, she ran out of oxygen so the doctor provided her with a tank and faxed a stat order to Apria. (5:00 pm)Someone called the house at 6:40 to set a time for delivery between 9:00 and 10:00 PM. I would not be able to be home because I had to take my brother to the airport. I needed to be home when the delivery was made so I could learn how to work the new machine. Due to this, we were told a delivery would be made mid morning on Tuesday. At 11:15 AM, Tuesday morninhg, there had been no sign of delivery, no phone call. I called Apria again and was told that the set-up delivery people had a schedule that began at 11:00 and that we would be first on the schedule and to expect delivery between noon and 2:00.I am highly frustrated with a company that either lacks a clear communication process or dont know how to tell time. She may just be another customer to them but she is my mother.
I am a pediatrician in Denver. I’d heard a lot of my patients complain about Apria, and now I have experienced it for myself. They picked up my son’s oxygen 7 months ago. Every month, I still get a bill and phone calls saying my balance is overdue. I have called them countless times and every time I’ve been told the issue has been resolved. Then the next bill comes. 7 months. Either no one I’ve talked to is doing their job or this is a scam.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Spent 2 hrs on the phone with no results. Drove 30 miles to the office. All managers in meeting and cant be disturbed. What a way to do business
They are horrible service. I was with them for 2 years. They dont show up for appointments. Their billing is horrid. I moved and called in the address change. They continued to change it back to the old address, at one time they had the street of one address and the town of the other. I wouldnt use them again for any reason
In my opinion, this is one of the poorest run healthcare companies in the world. Im a physician. I tried to get oxygen for a patient from the hospital from this company. I spoke to a woman named Vicki (who refused to give me her last name or identification number - another company who rewards lack of accountability). She was anything but a problem solver.I then called and spoke with PREFERRED OXYGEN company in Denver, CO and was able to arrange home oxygen for the patient without any problems whatsoever (this was a medicare patient). I will NEVER use nor recommend this company to any patients, friends or family. As a matter of fact, Ill do the exact opposite.
I am very disappointed with Aprias responsiveness. Their web site is uninformative, and leads you to call a centralized help desk for even simple questions like branch office hours. The phone number supplied isnt the local office, or even a centralized phone system that gives information about the local office, but a wait-in-a-queue-for-10-15 minutes to talk to a home-office customer service rep. While she was pleasant and helpful, she had to go offline to find out that the branch office I was interested in closed, for the weekend, while I was online waiting for a simple answer.People in this kind of business should be trying to minimize human labor costs. Apria doesnt seem to have a clue.
Worst experience ever... If I could give them a zero it would b better...This company was given orders from a Dr to deliver oxygen to our house on Friday, by Sunday they still wasnt here...at 9am Sunday the hospital sent another fax to deliver again... At that time they said delivery would be2~4 hrs, at 11am another fax was sent over because they said they never received any of the other faxes...at 6pm I called and talked to the reception they said they would have someone call me back... At 7pm I called and talked to someone else who was extremely rude with me, and John the receceptionst told me that NO-ONE will be delivering oxygen tonight, because the branch office is closed... Well I called and talked to another lady at 730pm, she promised to call me and give me a time of when they were going to deliver...no one again called me back, so I had to call the director of nursing who released my sister from there facility...he had to call Apria a few times, but delivery was made at 9pm Sunday.. My sister would have been sitting 12hrs without oxygen due to this company...they r very incompetent company...
How is Comcast possibly rated lower in customer satisfaction than this company? They sent me a CPAP and when my insurance changed, they decided to change it from a rental to ownership, without even giving me the option to return it. And of course after they charged my card on file, they refused to take it back. I was able to cancel the charge on my credit card so Ive got my money back, but now theyre trying to send me to collections. This whole time, Ive been saying come and take this damn thing back. They refuse to take it back and are insistent that I pay for it. How is this even legal? Im likely going to have to go court now to make sure my credit doesnt get screwed up.
Like everyone else the worst company I have dealt with for healthcare supplies. I walked in the lobby and the Manager Lady in her 60s, told me I was a size medium for full face masks, and to order online, I did and the mask came in defective, and size medium is way to small for my face, it will not exhale without slamming two flaps shut and the mask jumping off your face, I called the online support and they put a trouble ticket in and guaranteed a call within 48 hours, 4 days later the Manager That I spoke with at Apria called and said she was in Yakima and I could walk in without appointment Friday 330pm to 430pm I told her I would like to be seen sooner than that she said she would call to make an appointment when she got back to her office......... two weeks later I walked in on a Friday because she never called back. I asked why I didnt receive a call back...... she had an excuse for every twist. I havent been here she said...... no apology that she did not follow up just excuses and finger pointing that it was someone elses fault. why not have a secretary follow up on customers who you have a commitment with ? ? ? she even suggested I contact the manufacturer and tell them about this defective mask, I said why dont I just deal with the company that sold me the defective mask, she then said that I have an issue with RESMED the manufacturer. I told her no, I have an issue with Apria Healthcare. It is all good I will have corporate deal with the local incompetence. P.S. corporate has said twice that I need to resolve this with the local manager I keep asking if they have one. like the previous poster RUN AWAY FAST FROM APRIA
Apria will belittle you, deny you supplies you need, and totally ignore you when you try to contact them. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Every interaction has been negative. I ordered glucometer test strips 3/27/15. I was told I would have them in 3-5 days. I am now out of tests strips and cannot monitor my blood sugars which is how I control my diabetes. I am unable to contact them by phone because I have a plan with very limited minutes, so I have now e-mailed them three times. They do not respond at all. The last time they did this I went three weeks without being able to check my blood sugars. For three years every time I have called to order diabetic testing supplies, they never have the correct physician in the system. Each time, the person I talk to says they will correct it, but the next time I call they still have the wrong one listed. They are condescending and patronizing. They call and send post cards nagging you to refill as though I am too stupid to know when I need to reorder. Everything in their ordering process is designed to treat you like an ignorant child. This is the only supplier I can use because of my insurance so I am at their mercy to maintain my health. If you have any other options choose that. Avoid Apria at all costs!
ABSOLUTLY THE WORST COMPANY THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! Kaiser seems to have an airtight agreement locked up with this company and no matter how poor their service or how rude their employees are, Kaiser will not deviate from using this company exclusively. This company gives Kaiser a Black Eye and no one at Kaiser can or will do anything about it.
I would give minus 5 stars if I could!! You will never talk to anyone in the U.S. I would NEVER recommend this company. Their customer service is worse than you would receive from Satan himself.
I would give them a negative score if possible. We are seriously in need of another provider in Colorado. I work in the insurance industry and this is by far the worst medical supply company in the country. I hope they go bankrupt.
Every thing was ok till i tried to return my equipment. They gave me a 4 hr pick up window. And then they didnt show up. I had other things to do, instead of sitting around waiting for them.
Only a 1 star because NO STARS not an option. Customer service, ZERO. Accuracy and speed of delivery, LESS than ZERO.I have been working on getting portable unit for one of my patients for well over a month...each time they have an excuse, have shown up to the wrong address (lives in an assisted living but they keep going to old address even though weve called 3-4 times to update this!), say they havent received paperwork/orders from my office (multiple fax confirmations, my MA has spoken to them as well....). I cant even get them to pick up the equip now so that I can order what she needs thru another O2 company!! SHAMEFUL
This company is absolutely terrible. They have no clue what is going on with your case. They will transfer you to other reps for you to then have to repeat everything again because the 1st person had no idea and didnt want to help. If you call 30mins before closing, expect to be hung up on as well or they will put you on eternal hold and never come back. Its like dealing with a bunch of clowns at a circus. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. The customer service is terrible and is outsourced to the Philippines so the agent has no idea what is going on as far as the delivery service. No supervisors are available to escalate.I was on the phone for an hour and 06 minutes which was after the 2nd promise delivery time and 3 hours after the first promised time. An hour after getting off the phone and still no delivery. So sad. Wonder if I can charge them for my emergency room visit.
Nothing but good experiences. Healthcare provider seems to the source of any issues. I have found the good people at Apria to be unconditionally helpful.
There service is not bad but if your in a hurry, dont call them, go into their office. Imposable to get them buy phone. I think they need more workers in there customer service to answer the phones.
HORRIBLE COMPANY! First they give ma a time block of 1-5pm but a guy didnt show up till almost midnight and woke me up. I let him in because this was my third attempt to have my oxygen generator delivered. This guy acted as if it was his first day on the job and was stoned/high as can be.That oxygen machine did not make oxygen and had to get replaced. Two more guys later whom were undoubtably high as kites as well and I get a new machine but it took 4-5 minutes before it would generate oxygen, so brand new out of the box it did not work correctly. Then they send me a bill for excessive rental charges after charging my insurance company $360.00 per month for the rental and over $400.00 for a CPAP mask, hose and 1x2 felt filters. This is all plastic items no more complex than a $40.00 respirator you can purchase from a hardware or paint store. Obviously this is all part of the medical corruption policies in this country!I ended up buying my own oxygen generator for just over $400.00 with tax and delivery on line.Requested several times with over 4 hours of phone time with their customer service reps in the Philipines and on shore for an itemized billing statement. They sent me all the itemization for everything except for the months that I was being billed for in question. Another hour and half on the phone with another broken promise of sending the information for my accounting and nothing to follow except a threat of collections.Hey APRIA, all you need to do is provide service that you advertise as a provider for with quality and sober drivers that come to our homes and have customer service that actually can do their job too!Apria will get paid once I know what exactly it is Ill be paying for. THATS THE WAY IT WORKS IN THIS COUNTRY APRIA!
These guys are thiefs i kept calling their 1 800 number to come pick up their useless machine and they never did just lept charging me every.month company is a big fake just a group of theives people who work for them are rude and dont care they are liars
What a huge joke!!!! No one here knows their head from a hole in the ground. They dont care one bit about the patient even tho you are the best part of Apria mantra. NEVER again.... Id rather suck an exhaust pipe then deal with this crap again. It wont let me post if I dont at least give one star.. it should be negative stars
Zero or Less!!!! My 87 year old father had a doctors order for a semi-automatic bed with a low air mattress to be delivered to the assisted living facility he was released to. We started the process of getting the bed 4 days before he was released from rehab. He finally received the bed 5 days after he moved into his room. It was so infuriating trying to deal with their customer service dept. You never speak with the same person and you can expect to be on the phone forever as they try to read the notes of the last 20 people you spoke to. You also will get several different responses: Order not signed (it was); Insurance not valid (it was); sent out for delivery (not true) there were constant excuses or promises but still nothing would happen. We felt we were being held hostage, as they are the only medical equipment company that we could find that supplies hospital beds. A horrible company to deal with!!
ZERO STARS. We have a similar situation to Matt Gill below. We also have a baby on home oxygen and a monitor. It has also taken us weeks to get any sort of supply. When they do ship something out - 90% of the time its the wrong item. I have complained about how negligent, dangerous and incompetent this company is more times that I can count. Every time someone reaches out to me to apologize. Apologies are worthless if you arent actually going to correct anything. I was given the local managers contact info for any future issues and his voicemail is full. He never answers and I cant leave a message. My most recent issue is that a pulse ox probe we ordered on 10/12 was never delivered. As a result - we continue to keep ordering probes until we finally received any. That probe from 10/12 arrived on 11/26. It was delivered on my doorstep when I wasnt home so no way to refuse it. I called same day to let Apria know I need to return it and dont want to billed for it as I had now received more than enough supplies and had already been billed in over $1000 in these. I spent THREE hours on the phone bouncing from one dept to the next. Jennifer was the last person I spoke to. She told me that I would not be billed for this probe. I asked her how could I know this for sure since Apria lies about everything. She promised me that she would personally ensure that we would not be billed. I asked for THREE hours what I needed to do to return this item and no one could provide any direction. Ultimately, I was told I wouldnt be billed but wasnt ever advised on what I needed to do with the probe I wanted to return. I kept the probe so I could return it at a future date should any issues arise. 12/6 - An EOB came through billing me for this probe that I was promised I would NOT be billed for. I called Cigna and did a conference call with Cigna, Apria and Carecentrix (their billing company). The conclusion by Apria was that they would pick the probe up 12/7 and recoup me the charges. Cigna has this documented in their notes and Carecentrix filed the agreed on dispute for the recoup. 1/3 - I was notified that Apria will NOT recoup me the money because I returned the product after I was billed. Rememeber - I called same day it arrived and asked how to return a probe that I no longer needed. I was also told this same day I would not be billed. Apria told me to just hang on to it as they didnt know how to arrange a return for this probe. So I didnt return it - I had no clue where to return it to. Then I was billed. Then Apria told me to return it (after I was billed) and they would recoup me the charge. and Now they are saying their policy is that you cant be recouped for an item once you are billed for it (albeit even a bill that you were told would not exist.) Denver Branch Manager - just tried calling you again. Mailbox is still full. Its been full for over 3 weeks now. Perhaps my next review will be how my newborn baby had an overnight oximeter ordered 2 months. It took 3 weeks to get the monitor shipped out. Your directions say that the results are faxed to the dr the same day the monitor is picked up. Its been 3 weeks with weekly calls from me and my doctor and you have still not sent over the results. This study is for a baby so that we can determine next steps in her oxygen treatment plan and we still cant take any action 2 months after the order due to waiting on you. Im still shocked that a company this incompetent and negligent is allowed to continue to contract with insurance companies and provide life saving equipment.
I cant believe how terrible this company is. I have spent over an hour an hold with them on more than one occasion. The customer service is terrible once you finally get someone to talk to. They repeatedly miss sending me my monthly statements. The website doesnt work the way its supposed to. The links to get help dont work. Now they are trying to charge me over $2000 dollars back billing saying my insurance hasnt paid them since 2016 but I cant call and straighten it out until Monday and I have to be prepared to spend a long time on hold to do so. This company provides a life saving service to what I imagine is mostly an elderly population and they treat their customers very poorly. The only reason I use this company is because they are the company my insurance uses but I will be putting a request in that they change oxygen suppliers.
So, the left hand doesnt talk to the right, customer service lies to make you happy, supervisors are worthless because they cant do anything, and these people will show up when its convenient for them. If its not convenient, dont expect them to show.
I held today for about 35 minutes for a customer service rep at Apria Healthcare to tell me that she couldnt help me. I called back and asked not to be put on hold... . She immediately put me on hold saying she couldnt get me information. I only needed my account # as I was never sent a paper bill for my equipment; i just started receiving a charge to my credit card. I finally called the local Denver office and they told me they would set up paper bills.Terrible customer service. Would not use this company if I didnt have to rent my medical equipment from them.
Gross incompetence would be a compliment to these scam artists. Apria was supposed to deliver oxygen tanks to my mother. They never showed up and we ended up in the emergency room due to a lack of oxygen. After we were discharged, Apria was 4 hours late with the delivery, and within the following 48 hours, an additional driver randomly showed up at my mothers house claiming she was there to pick up the oxygen. We refused - and called corporate. Apparently the delivery was only meant to be a technical check-up. The fact that this company has not been sued out of business blows my mind. Please do not trust the safety of your loved ones with these idiots!
It has been horrible. The call in people you cannot understand or they are unable to help you. We had to consistently ask for a supervisor. Faxed information was lost and we had to repeatedly fax again. We were told that they do not received faxs for 24 to 48 hours. Over 5 months we have been working on trying to get supplies and still have not received any.
This place is way better than lincare, or in home medical. They are fast, quality service! I love them.
Worst customer service ever encountered anywhere. People are either not understandable, uninformed or just rude! Automated calls regarding cpap machine are a form of harassment, regarding service are unchangeable, with no one calling before a service call. Its a 50/50 chance that your service contractor will be rude and irritated when he shows at your home at 6pm after you have waited all day. They charge outrageous amounts to Medicare (triple that of their competitor - aerocare) but once you have them as a provider Medicare locks you in for 5 years. If you have an input, Do Not choose Apria!
They say theyll come tomorrow, when tomorrow comes and you call the next day to ask why they didnt come. They say theyll come tomorrow. Ive called 4 times for my moms oxygen and 4 times they said theyll come tomorrow. I REFUSE to go through them PERIOD. They are the worst oxygen supply company I cant believe theyre still functioning. Why do doctors refer to them? Im also a CNA and Ive dealt with people having to be hospitalized because theyre oxygen too low because apria refuses to fill oxygen on time its ridiculous. Theyre job is to literally help people live and they dont care one bit. I think its time apria closes their doors.
This is by far the worst healthcare company out there. It is apparent by their reviews that their management doesn’t have a clue on how to make this a better company. I absolutely despise using this company and would give them zero stars if I could. COME ON APRIA CAN YOU DO ANYTHING RIGHT???? I put your lack of customer service, knowledge, employee training and simply being a better company on your leadership team. Poor leaders blame the rest of the team, and true leadership puts the responsibility for the company’s failures on themselves. Horribly sad.
I have no idea how this company can be in business. The accounting department is a total wreck, customer service is nonexistent! The only reason I am still using this train wreck is because Kaiser Permanente is in contract with them. If not for major contracts this atrocity would be closed!
I had no choice going to Apria. I prefer aerocare from past experience. Arpia sent a great customers rep to set-up my oxygen. He was kind & knowledgeable. The office wanted my cc # I refused to give it to them. I have been charge $29.49 for cpap equipment I received 4months ago. Then a bill for $60.00. Most of their statements dont include what their billing for. I dont like them. Get a billing system that makes sense, itemize & be honest.
Droped off half the supplies didnt work havent seen or heard from them since thnks much 👎
Very friendly staff inside which my complaint has no wrongdoing of the inside staff. A prescription from my doctor for a nebulizer (simple machine). My insurance is who said to use Apria so of course I do, but so far is taken them 4 hours to get approval. Ice of course contacted my insurance and they state there not been contacted and yes Im covered for such machines under $1500. If you need it in a hurry which Id assume most do try another place. Good luck even talking to anyone in customer care, they just tell you just wait for a call and they wont gautentee itll even be within a business day. Very frustrated customer who will think twice about using them again.
This place is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever experienced as a career taker. My patient is stuck without oxygen due to something that they have no right taking away my patients oxygen. I will be pursuing legal action with hopes of knocking them out of business. This is how serious this. DO NOT COME HERE! I WOULDNT GIVE THEM ANY STARS IF IT WAS POSSIBLE!!!!
At work during this. Was on hold with CSR for a very long time. so long i got put back in the waiting que as if my call was never answered. The second person was nice and i thought maybe id get somewhere. i had to explain my oxygen equipment had been picked up and was not scheduled to be delivered to my new residence. I just needed my oxygen to be delivered to my new place. Still placed on another hold and back in the que i went to another person who was not nice and not understanding what i was saying. she to placed me on HOLD. Mind you I have had the worst experience trying to order new accessories and never receiving them. Super infuriated with this company. My doctor placed this order for a reason and i do my best to make sure I do what iam suppose to yet can not get assisted!I work in customer service and i understand it gets busy but to be honest if you handle what needs to be done at hand you will not have the same people calling 3 times in one day for the same thing and it makes your day go by much better.
Id give 0 stars if I could. Their scheduling is HORRIBLE. They expect you to sit around all day for service and refuse to give a time frame when they will be around to service your equipment. Customer service is rude and unapologetic when it comes to scheduling and the company doesnt seem to care that you have things to do too.
If i could put 0 i would. Aprea tru kaiser ins is the bigest joke with so many hoops its worth going out of network. It such a headache im changing health insurance asap during my open enrollment. Go anywhere but here. Its was cheaper and alot easier to buy directly on Amazon.
This place is terrible. My father was discharged from the hospital and told to call Apria in the morning to schedule a tank delivery. For some reason, even before scheduling, Apria delivered the compressor and tanks, but to the hospital my father had been discharged from hours before. When we got ahold of them to deliver to my home, they gave us a window of between 3-5 pm, but delivered at 2:30pm when we were all in the back yard, so we had to reschedule once again, and didnt deliver until close to midnight. As for pick up! I called them at 8am when they opened, having been informed that all we needed was a simple pick-up. Should have known better. I was required to get an Rx from the doc saying we no longer needed the machine or the tanks, which hours to obtain as the doctor was (oddly enough, right!) busy with patients. The only reason I gave this place 1 star, is because 0 wasnt on offer.
If there was a minus ten that’s what I would give this company. They dropped the ball sooo many times. I was suppose to being expedited case for an oxygen concentrator it should’ve been delivered Saturday but they said they needed to wait for the insurance company to open on Monday. I got a hold of my insurance company and they said they absolutely did not need to call them to get it preapproved because it would’ve already been approved my insurance would pay for I had to call off work on Monday just stay here and wait for them to bring the oxygen. They delivered it to the wrong house (a house I hadn’t lived at for 6 yrs) they had my number but chose not to call me. So here I am 11:03 pm and nothing. Don’t bother to call them you will be routed to India. Horrible horrible company! I should charge them my days wages, thank god I wasn’t waiting for a life support machine.
They bill medicai6and now are denying me oxygen tank delivery because i am homeless. I have been out of oxygen since early this morning and will end up at an ER because of there denial. Bad thing is they lie and give a window of delivery. They never show up. I once again have my oxygen level dropping to the point that I will be calling peramedics. Not fair being lied to and then flat out denied.
If you need home health care equipment, such as oxygen, I urge you to RUN, not WALK to any other resource than this one. There are constant problems with every aspect of the CPAP machine operation I obtained from them, every attempt to do anything other than order more costly supplies is an ordeal (Ive spoken with SIX different people trying to fix the current problem I have) and you will be barraged with robo-calls trying to sell you more stuff. These people should be shut down for running a con on mostly aged people who just give up and let Medicare/Medicaid pay for their incompetence - and big management bonuses.
I’m finding that the healthcare system as far as getting referrals done right is impossible. This place isn’t any better! If you want to work in any medical service seems you only need an IQ of 10
This is just another government crony capitalism business. I would be curious as to who (what ruling elite family) sits/owns on/it on the Board of Directors. It obvious they dont need to provide a competitive service concerning service or price. I have been trying to get some CPAP supplies for several months and still have not got them.
If I could give them a negative star I would. This is the worst company to deal with. Their customer service is the worst! One agent tells you that you have an appointment, one tells you that you dont, they dont call you back, they no show and their hold time is so long that one time the phone died while I was waiting. They set up equipment next to a 50 year old freezer, stored full cylinders next to the freezer and knew that it was dangerous. They dont give clear instructions.
This is the WORST company I have EVER dealt with. Due to my insurance, this company is my only option in regards saving out of pocket expenses, and unfortunately they are the absolute worst to deal with. Every single order results in disputes between their billing dept vs my insurance coverage. After numerous conversations someone finally realizes that they (Apria) is in error. Instead of fixing the issue for future orders, its the same old thing the next time. They dont even deserve one star. My hope is that my insurance will dump this company.
Customer service is terrible when calling in. They have no idea what is going on and dont care. they flat out lie and say someone will be at the house in 2 hours. they cane 48 hours later.
I had to call THREE times for a new CPAP mask. Each time they are soooo helpful but NOTHING happens. The first time I called the Loveland,Colorado office and no one even picked up the phone. Just got off the line with the Denver office and the person ASSURED me they will expedite my request. We shall see. I formerly had Banner Home Medical Equipment. They are quick, helpful and responsive. I wish I didnt have to deal with Apria. They seem to be quite useless. If I had done my job like they do, would not have a job. Terrible!!
I am not sure what good this does considering the horrid reviews found almost everywhere on the web. It doesnt seem like customer care, nor service is a priority of this organization. I have spent 2 hours a 8 mins on the phone to get transferred to 6 different people that all indicated that something doesnt appear right, but they cannot tell me why. I ask for bills and they are not sent, I ask for resupplies and one person says they were sent, another says they were not...but cannot tell me why? If you enjoy really trying hard to pay people money, then this the company for you. The connections are horrible, the service reps for the most part (exception of 2 out of the 6 people I talked with today) treat you like THEY have something better to do. I have never used google to write a review, but this is an all time low for customer service. I must echo a previous review that dealing with Comcast is a dream compared to this organization. It seems the right hand is not talking to the left.Apria hire someone, anyone that get give a customer ALL the information, perhaps use the internet to connect your Company together? I work in healthcare and I have seen ineffeciency in my day, believe me, but this company brings things to a new level. One website has 909 primarly poor reviews, Yelp is the same. Please do your self a favor if you have the opportunity to use ANY and I mean ANY OTHER COMPANY other than this one DO IT. However, if you want to see inefficiency at its apex, or work hard to give others money this is the company for you.
Do not call the 888 number or the local number. Both will get you the call center where youll be given the runaround by idiots. Ive met the local people, I like them. The call center, not so much. That rating is for the call center, not the local Englewood office .
Could never get ahold of them. Left message after message. Went to MAXCARE right down the street from them and they were wonderful to work with.
Needed to reprogram my CPAP at the Denver Location -- spoke with customer service on the 1-800 line instead of local #. Told I would get a call back from a specialist - waiting more than 2 hours didnt get a call back called myself -- cant just walk in for a quick reprogramming and power chord needed a fricken appointment -- chick on the line couldnt answer if they have a 12v plug for my cpap! STUPID USELESS overseas scripted service. BOOOOOO. As with the other review Id give a 0 star rating if that was available!
The doctors prescription included a humidifier. It was not included. When Apria was contacted about this, they said one would be Fed Ex to our home. When told this was not acceptable, they allowed as how one could be picked up at the E 53rd Ave address. Why was this not mentioned in the first place? Why was the humidifier not included in the delivery? Poor communication.
This was almost pathetic! These people actually made the determination that I CANT have portable oxygen delivered because their records show that I only use it at night! Well thats partially true that I do use it at night, but Ive had severe heart failure for more than 7 years now and when I leave the house, I need it with me! The fact that I dont order it all the time, is in no way an indication that I no longer have any need for it! Ive ordered bottles several times in the past, but today when I tried to order it again, I was told that I couldnt do so! I have to get my doctor, who I cant even get a message to without a 2 week wait for an appointment, to contact them, before they will do anything for me! If you have another choice of companies, choose another! This place is run by idiots! They dont even have their phone number on their web page! What a bunch of morons! I just called them back with my complaint and got some little puke who couldnt even speak English! When they set out to be the worst company available, they really go all out! Youd think since they primarily deal with very sick people, they may try a bit harder to get things right, but HELL NO!! I am so pissed off right now, Im ready to have another heart attack!
Ive been with this company for a year or so.I hate having to call customer service because I have to speak with someone who either doesnt speak proper English or understand english, Ive been harassed and bombarded with multiple PHONE CALLS at least 3-4 a day and they leave message every single time... Ive spoken to reps and expressed my dislike for all these ridiculous auto delay reminders&messages...HEY APRIA KEEP CALLING SO I CAN GET YOU ALL FOR HARASSMENT...enough is enough.... I got the memo
I had a bad initial experience with Apria but I emailed them at their customer service email and my problems were solved immediately. It sounded like changes are being made to improve service. So, you might try emailing them with your problem.
Apria continues to discontinue equipment that my 8 year old daughter needs for her lungs. Staff is rude, disrespectful and unknowledgable, that includes managers. I am appalled at how they have handled my complaints. Even though we have used them for over five years and insurance has paid them tens of thousands of dollars, the manager told me they lose money on servicing my daughter. He was down right rude and expressed how we were an inconvenience to their company. Not a way to treat anyone, let alone your customer. We are finding a new provider today. Do not waste your time and money dealing with them. They are a sinking ship - Huge headache!
The home oxygen setup was pre-arranged with Apria by the hospital when I was discharged. I called Apria as soon as I got home, 28 hours ago. The small tank I was given at the hospital is running out, and Apria has yet to show up. Damn Apria to hell. This app needs to allow zero star ratings.
Well, this is what I expected--lots of unhappy customers just like myself. Similar complaints of robo-scheduled appointments for concentrator checkup with no input from the customer, missed appointments, with no call and after the third incident I called today to complain; well now theres 52 minutes of my life I will never get back while I experienced some of the worst customer service possible. And, when Ronald gave me the number to make a complaint--lo and behold, its the main number! Its a special level of customer service hell--Dantesque in nature. There is no means for complaints. To the owners, executives, shareholders of Apria-you should be ashamed. Were not buying trinkets that break, meals that are not tasty, we have been forced to use your services because our health necessitates our relationship with you. May you and yours be blessed with good health so that no one you love has to rely on Apria.
The central ordering department is TERRIBLE! They wont bill a secondary insurance, wont return incorrect shipments and try to charge you for a bill that was already paid. I am moving back to Performance Home Medical. If I could give a negative star, I would
The fact that you cannot call your local branch, or even get connected through customer service to a local branch, is completely infuriating. Theyve got you by the nuts since they are often the only vendor of CPAPs approved by insurance. Ive never been on the phone with them without being transferred 3 or more times, and then I have to confirm my identity after each transfer. Dont plan on being on the phone with them for less than 45 minutes.I hate to keep going back to this, but really, what company with multiple branches across the country does not allow a direct call to those local branches??? This company has zero respect for their customers. The second I can go elsewhere for my supplies I will be gone. I hate, hate, hate Apria. HATE.
Horror, dont go here at all, Billing a joke, service a joke, no help, telephone hell, someday maybe soon they will be gone. God help and protect all those who have to deal with these people.
I dont like to complain, but this service is terrible. They charged our checking account instead of charging insurance like they were suppost to. We called to fix the problem because we absultley need the money to pay our rent. They said sorry, but they couldnt fix it until they payment post, mean while we have a rent check floating out there ready to clear any day. They even told us usually they send the money back in check form in two weeks-- Oh My God!!!!! It wouldnt be issue but its Christmas!!! And they took a large amount of money, so no Christmas and no place to live!!!
Apria is a very poorly run company. Scheduling is difficult. Customer service is even worse. Its clear from a customers point of view that they have internal communication issues where one department does not or cannot communicate with another department. I would not recommend this company. Unfortunately, I think they have the market cornered here.
Just to pick two random incidents,1. I needed parts for my Trilogy machine, my RT called it in to them, the parts i needed, they confirmed everything, never got anything, Second time, i called and did it all, address on file, etc., they confirmed everything and said ill receive within 2-3 business days, never got anything. Called a 3rd time weeks later, and of course, this time also they had nothing on file for the 1st or 2nd time. And when you ask for a tracking number or anything, they dont have it as nothing is in the system yet, not even an order number. They offered one time they will contact me back in 30 minutes with an order number when its in the system, i said yes please, i never got the call. Anyways, the 3rd time i called, this time i finally did receive my parts about 4 days later.2. My oxygen concentrator was broken, my RT put the order in to get it swapped, asked for it to be anytime after 5pm. They confirmed with her someone will be out on X day, after 5pm . I then called them up, confirmed everything and asked them to put a note in to make it after 6pm. They said they put the note in the system but cannot promise it will be after 6pm, i said no problem and i understand. No call no show, until 1020pm at night i got a phone call from the driver asking about swapping it out. I asked him if they are even allowed to call this late, and this is to late to swap it out, his attitude was not the greatest and he made me feel like i was an idiot for questioning the time. And Apria also tells you that the driver will call 1 hour prior. Anyways, i said no thank you, its 1020pm on a tuesday night, please deliver it tomorrow. Tomorrow is today, so hopefully they will deliver this evening during a reasonable hour.
If there was a NO STAR rating If give them that rating. This is the most disorganized, unprofessional, incompetent company to ever exist! The only reason they remain in business is that theres nobody else to take over for this swarm of call transferring, unknowledagable individuals. Just trying to get service calls in is crazy. And then theres the service techs who actually deal with the customers and have to try to make amends for their incompetent company. Its sad and I actually feel bad for them. Im on oxygen, my husband on a BiPap. Just this past week I needed oxygen supplies. First they refused to bring the tanks, then came late to deliver the wrong supplies! Amazing incompetence.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. FIND A DIFFERENT COMPANY. THEY DON CARE OR UNDERSTAND WHAT IS A PRIORITY. YOU WILL PROBABLY END UP DYING BEFORE YOU GET YOUR EQUIPMENT!!!!!!!Update April 11, 2018Here we go again. Now I need a CPAP machine and Im stuck going through Apria Health. When you call they say no order received but I get a call from their automatic dialer telling me they received the order while Im on hold. Get transferred twice because I ask for a supervisor. I get there is none. They offer to transfer me to a main office they hang up on me. They tell you that it will take 10 days to get approval from my insurance which is not correct. It was approved prior to the order being faxed.I wouldnt even refer my dog or my worse enemy to them.Apria health are the worst company around! They have no sense in time and what is urgent. I guess your machine is not working and I cant go to sleep without oxygen. Doesnt matter to this company. We will get a delivery out to you but it can be at 1 or 2 am who cares that your spouse has to get up to go to work at 3am. Who cares that you cant sleep without your oxygen its not a priority to get you a machine that actually works. If you have an emergency you can call 911. That is what the representative told me.I will be filing a complaint with the medical board, I will be in contact with my drs office filing a complaint with them, I will also be getting a hold of all the news channels to bring awareness how horrible this company is and how they put their customers at risk. I will also be calling an attorney even the colorado general attorney filing a complaint with them as well. I will.do everything in my power to get this company shut down. This is ridiculous how someones life can be in danger not having their oxygen machine while they sleep. I had one rep tell me.you should have called earlier. Im sorry but I didnt need my machine until I got ready for bed. That was 2 hrs ago and when I called back the second time I was on hold for over 45 minutes to get no where again. I even asked them to call dispatch and find out when. I get Im sorry they dont know when. The driver can call you when they get there again at 1 am or 2am.If you can go through another company I recommend you do that. I even offered to go pick the machine up myself and I get sorry there isnt a place to do that. This company does not deserve any stars.
One star just because the drivers, when you can actually get the company to send you one, have always been gracious quick and helpful. This company is impossible. It is structured to hurt you as a customer. The only hours you can order oxygen is Monday through Friday on what are essentially bank hours - not very flexible for something so important. If you call after hours youll be bounced around an automated system that will ultimately tell you to call your local branch and ask for the after hours office. Well every local branch redirects to the National number. I found a work around in the auto system where you can talk to someone if you claim to be newly discharged from a hospital. When I explained that all I wanted to do was get a simple refill for my infant for the next day, I was told that the computer systems were updating and they couldnt place orders until Monday morning. An absurd company that provides as little as they possibly can
Fraud is all they do. Stay away from this company they will ruin your life. They refuse to pick up machine but still bill you. Look up apria and Medicaid fraud, they are the worst.
THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE! IVE WAITED FOR 5 MONTHS FOR THEM TO SUBMIT ANYTHING TO OUR INSURANCE BUT THEY REFUSE AND KEEP CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY! DO NOT USE THEM. THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER FOR OXYGEN.
Told my grandfather he could bring his CPAP machine back because he didnt need it anymore and then when tried to bring it back they said they are going to charge him $400.
