My favorite place in town to grab a latte and sit outside. High-quality coffee. The brown sugar spice latte with oat milk was delicious and the pastries/biscuits are always amazing
Great coffee and chai teas. Loved the unique latte flavors. Pastries were great also!
I’ve been here twice now and have had great experiences both times. Their oat milk latte is fantastic. And they have a variety of muffins and cookies and pastries and scones that come from a fantastic local bakery called Tart. Staff is very nice and there are lots of individual tables where you can sit and chat or sit and do work. And places to plug in your computer or phone are plentiful. Nice big communal table in the middle of the space is really nice to see and very welcoming.
Catalpa! Its a new name and theres one in greenfield too! Coffee was good ambiance was sleek modern and not indicative of a “coffee shop” but it is rest assuredly a coffee shop. The coffee was good outside seating was great and i highly recommend this spot for a cuppa . They have tantalizing pastries and plenty of indoor space . Its no longer called northhampton coffee. Ample street parking and its a short jaunt to municipal parking lots as well. Hope this helps stay well and enjoy.
Amazing espresso and great scones. A perfect stop for caffeine on my way up I-91!
The best oat milk latte!! I had one everyday when I was visiting in Northampton. I will miss them.
Excellent cappuccino. Nice and smooth!
This place and Amherst Coffee (same owners) have the best dang coffee in the entire Valley. I love rich, strong coffee with a lot of bold flavors and their coffee delivers. Its not strong and bitter like Starbucks, either....just complex and good. Highly recommended!
Great location with street parking. Loved the atmosphere, a calm coffee shop to chill out. They only had the small size for an iced maple latte which is disappointing because I paid $5 for a tiny drink. However the quality of coffee is fantastic
Great tasting coffee and wonderful pastries!
Used to have fantastic Barrington Coffee but switched to a generic 2nd label. Shelburne Falls Coffee now owns it (+ Tart and Greenfield Coffee) and the quality of the beans isnt anything near what Barrington offers. Its a shame as I go for quality of coffee every time, not just how close a shop is located.
A lil pricey but as I drove away and took that first sip, I thought I should have got a bigger cup!
I wouldve posted a picture of my hot chocolate but it was too good! Relaxing atmosphere for a Saturday morning. Crazy how I just stumbled upon this place while waiting for an appointment next door.
Great coffee and caring and quality oriented staff. Great place for a quiet meeting or to get some work done.My only grumble is the baked good options. Id love to see a more substantial food option with low sugar.. hearty muffin or an egg filled puff pastry thing etc.
Great locally roasted coffee. Have really nice specialty coffee drinks too that are packed with sugar. WiFi is solid and a comfortable place to work.
A nice little coffee shop a little outside of the main way in Noho. Good for a quick stop-in, or if you need to get some work done.
A nice atmosphere for grabbing a coffee and doing some work. I havent tried their coffee yet. I had an okay-at-best almond croissant. They had a few other baked goods, and offer grilled cheese for lunch. I didnt see anything else savory or nutritious enough to make a meal.4 stars is for the atmosphere, which is what I came for.
I got a small drip. Tastes like a high quality fresh bean. Personal and hip feel to the space. Open tap of filtered water. 8oz coffee option. Great experience!
Their espresso is downright the best in the area. They really take good care in making each cup. The place is always quiet even if it is full, which means it a nice spot to study and work.
This was a cool little place enjoyed it. Better found a dinner, bar, restaurant. Called Blue something?
Little walk from downtown but only place around where you can log in, AND plug in!I had an iced decalf coffee and a gluten free peanut butter chick cookie. I stayed for about 1.5 hours without an issue. Bathroom, power plugs, and room to work together if thats your thing!
The coffee was about the best that weve had on our whistle stop tour and the folks there were very kind.Somewhat surprised that there were no gluten free food options, but thats only an aside as it wasnt the primary reason we stopped. The ginger molasses cookies were delicious, but my gluten free significant other was jealous that she couldnt partake, hence the docked star (between being hangry and the redirect aggression, she gave me quite the earful about how disappointing it was that they had vegan options but no GF options).
Perfect place to spend a morning getting some focused work done while enjoying GREAT coffee and food from Tart Bakery. Good amount of room for seating, a lot of access to outlets to stay charged, two bathrooms, and internet is fast and reliable. Staff is always friendly and during the summer the outdoor seating is nice too.
My dad first discovered this shop over 10 years ago, and its remained excellent over all those years. This is a place for people who love real, simple, coffee.
Great coffee, atmosphere is relaxed and studious. Cool baristas too!
Never had a bad latte here. Consistently well brewed and always the perfect temperature to drink when I receive my order. So nice to be able to enjoy a drink that hasnt been overheated.
The coffee! The atmosphere! The necessary workspace with all the plugs and decent WiFi! This one of my favorite places, where I began my marketing journey. The coffee is absolutely delicious — its nutty aroma draws me in like moths to a flame. This is where I go to when I’m in town, and it keeps me coming back. Also, the service is great. The baristas are super nice and you never feel rushed or harassed. So sit back and enjoy, but make sure you give back and buy their coffee and pastries. This is a place of business, after all!
Decent coffee from a basic menu of options. Not too expensive so a good hang.
This cozy coffee shop is a great place to do work or catch up with friends. I work here remotely once or twice a week and always get the hot chocolate - so yummy! There are a decent number of outlets, especially if you sit at a table along the wall.
One of the best lattes Ive ever had and having lived in the Seattle area for years now, Ive had a LOT! Served in a wonderful venue with knowledgeable staff who gave the out of town customers before me as good of advice regarding other places to go in the area as youre likely to get from a tour guide.
I have been coming to Northampton Coffee for years now. I read, write, work and socialize there. While I love the coffe, in particular the perfect lattes, I am drawn to the student-friendly environment. If you go, have a latte and a Lemon Almond pound cake. To die for. This is perhaps one of the places Ill miss the most once I leave the area.
Best coffee place in town bar none. Nice place to sit outside or inside and just take a moment for yourself.
Wonderfully robust espresso and very engaging servers and clientele. Everyone was very friendly to this out of town gal
Best service and tastiest cappuccino in town. The baristas here exhibit exceptional professionalism -- recognizing that the little things make all the difference. The large communal table is a great place to read the Sunday NY Times.
Even though the folks next to me were chatting pretty loudly I could focus on my stuff while enjoying my coffee. Quite peaceful atmosphere if you wanna accomplish a writing task etc.
I stop through this coffee shop on my way between VT and New Haven every month or so. Its easy get to off the highway and has excellent drip coffee and craft espresso beverages. A third wave shop, they also offer friendly service, lots of seating options, a warm and comfortable vibe, farm direct retail coffee, and good food options! Thank you, Northampton Coffee!
Best in the area. I try and try but I just cannot seem to find a better cup anywhere I travel. They take their time. Even when the line is to the door. Im hooked. Become an obsession. This cannot be healthy. The place is completely out of my way. Why am I sitting in rush hour traffic on Pleasant Street. I should be home with my spouses reliable drip coffee machine and my kids. Im not comfortable with this. I realize this review is of no help to you. That was not my intention.
My experience was poor. Way overpriced coffee. In my opinon, staff could do with some customer service skills improvement.
Probably the best coffee in town. Try the steampunk brewed coffee just because its cool. Great service. Very good locally made pastries.
Fantastic espresso drinks and coffee. Its the perfect coffee shop to sit and do some work in if you can find a seat. Prices are a little high for espresso drinks but its always worth it for the quality!
They have great coffee, great baked goods, and low prices. This place is out-of-the way and quiet. You can hang out and read the paper in your own seat or at the big community table.
Masterful baristas. Friendly staff. Great coffee!
Friendly but overburdened staff. Got three out of four items we ordered wrong, steamer and panini press were both not working right. Managed to burn the grilled cheese in spite of cooking it INSIDE the waxed paper wrapping (never seen that before and did not appreciate the burned plastic flavor it imparted). No tomato on grilled cheese with tomato. Atmosphere is uncomfortable and cramped.
Vegan pastries. nitro cold brew.
Small but easy space for working while drinking great coffee. Easygoing counter service. Lowkey.
Awesome coffee just off main Street in downtown Northampton. Perfect place to grab and coffee and hang out.
One of my favorite coffee shops. The Barrington coffee light and medium roasts get me going in the morning.
I go to Northampton Coffee every other day because their coffee (and sparkling water!) is of great quality, because their baristas are warm and friendly, and because it is a great place to work. Totally recommended.
Ive stopped in here a couple times always a nice visit
Coffee to sip leisuely...and delightful to bring several bags of beans home!
One of the only places to feature the Steam Punk brewer which creates the perfect cup of coffee with scientific precision. Its seriously good.
Great drinks, artfully made. Peaceful place to hang out. Recommend.
Simple, goodn coffee, a couple of vegan cookie options. A nice little spot
Nice small cafe close to the center of Northampton. Great coffee/espresso options including steampunk coffee made with Barrington Coffee beans, and a small selection of delicious pastries. Nice place to spend some time enjoying coffee listening to the classic jazz that always seems to be playing, and watch the world outside go by.
Best latte I have ever had. The service was even better!
Excellent espresso. Good pastries. Bright, hospitable environment.
This is the Best! I love this place :-)
Went there last week and want to try their Latte after Lunch, ordered Almond Milk Latte which is good taste, smooth and creamy, worth to try.
Terrible place to go.
Coffee is ok, but the most disappointing thing was they never had what they advertised. They boasted a nitro cold brew. Went in the morning, early afternoon, on different days...nothing. I dont even bother stopping by anymore. On the positive side: service is excellent. People are nice.
Perfect espresso drinks, great staff, library vibe. perfection.
Some if the best coffee in town, nice selection of pastries, solid WiFi. Nothing more to ask for a place to get some work done.
The best coffee in NoHo. They have a lot of different and interesting coffees and brew techniques. Worth the visit even if the location is a bit out of downtown.
I was sitting at a small table with Gwyn, both of our laptops out taking up all the space, it was kind of a tight fit, but we made it work. It was busy the entire time we were there. The Mocha I got was smooth, not too sweet, but I enjoyed it. At one point a door behind Gwyn suddenly opened out of nowhere, and it gave me the heeby jeebies. Like some sort of ghost hunting thing, behind the door lead to the basement, and I was so pumped to just walk down there, but then Gwyn shook her head and said no.I also got a grilled cheese sandwich, it was small, just cheese between two pieces of crusty bread. Yeah, the bread was really good. The mini pickles tasted like vinegar though. The bathroom is also kind of scary. Like the sitting room slowly gets smaller and smaller towards the back, until you get to the bathroom door, and in the bathroom the toilet takes up the whole back wall, like a willy wonka chocolate factory. Oh, also the light for the bathroom is outside the bathroom, so if you ever want to terrify your friend, just flick the switch while theyre doing their thing. Like I am sure you can get some great stories out of this place. But I would not recommend this place for studying for long periods of time because the music that was playing all sounded the same, and personally, it was driving me mad. It kind of reminded me of that game where you have monsters on an island that sing, and Im just not a fan of those games.
Top notch coffee, delicious croissants pleasant aesthetic. My favorite place to get work done in the 413 by farrrrrr.
This is definitely MY FAVORITE COFFEE HANGOUT: best coffee, awesome staff, nice lighting, quiet space to work. Agree - whats not to love?
Excellent coffee house run by knowledgeable staff members who can describe in detail the many aspects of pour-over coffee.
I am a regular (and huge fan) of Amherst Coffee, so I decided to swing by Northampton coffee during a recent trip. I found it to be comfortably similar, with the same killer drinks, good internet, calm and pleasant surroundings, and always friendly and chatty baristas. Perhaps it was just the time I was there, but it seemed to be more of a hangout spot than a study spot than Amherst, so a little louder. But still very pleasant and the nicest coffee shop I have found in Northampton. If only it wasnt so far off the beaten path. For right downtown - Haymarket ;)
Amazing staff! My favorite barista is Audrey - she rocks!
I love this coffee shop for a million reasons! Best coffee in Northampton, friendly staff and free Wi-Fi. Sometimes it feels like a library, but there is nowhere Id rather take five and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Excellent coffee, great space. Cool machines
Definatly a caffeinated beverage connoisseur joint!
I love their coffee. When ever I visit NoHo, they are always on my list and my go-to spot for a latte. Great coffee! I made a mistake going in here today witb my 9mo old and found that the place is NOT child friendly. Lots of people working on laptops. It is also cramped in there not a good place for a group.Still, tbeir coffee rules, hence the 4 star review.
Delicious coffee, expertly made. Get the light roast.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good coffee.
Good place..consistently excellent.
Iced dirty chai with oat milk is righteous.
Great coffee great service good place to work or meet for coffee
Good coffee but very little to eat.
Great spot for great coffee...
Great chai tea. Not much seating inside.
Best cuppa jo in town and fantastic pastry.
The he was really good
Clean, good coffee, tight seating.
Good, simple coffee. all you need
Great coffee on the steampunk!
The bathroom is tiny! And the sink is outside of it. Coffee is good but very expensive.
Excellent coffee shop in a moderately large, if oddly used space. Two rooms, one long and one smaller and oblong. The smaller one is underutilized, with a few high tables and a short bar. The place does have a very nice uncrowded feel. One large low table with 10 sets, plus a half dozen high tables with stools, and two window facing bars with stools. Two outlets, someone inconveniently located. Free wi-fi with no password. Walls are largely bare. Relatively low lighting but big windows. Music is low and folky. They do a very nice homemade chai which is almost perfectly sweetened. Hurray! Note that a small chai latte really is small - i.e. a traditional cup of tea. Moderate selection of other high quality teas. Small selection of high quality pastries. They import Chinotto, an amazing non-alcoholic apertif, from Italy by the pallet.
Good coffee, tables are small
Good quality of coffee..
Good coffee, nice quiet space.
The overpriced coffee is OK if you like that kind of thing, or if you need a little help... er... staying regular.
Great service and beautiful space. The coffee is terrible.
Great cup of coffee and pastries from Tart
Outstanding coffee, limited seating.
Good atmosphere for working or studying
This place is a disgrace, the money grubbers charge for the Internet ! Even Starbucks now has free wifi. Vote with your feet, go somewhere else.
