Im not sure when donuts became such a luxury item, but these are pretty darn good. They have a bunch of good flavours, and they look fantastic. Be forewarned tasty comes at price.

Very hot coffee and cold, hard donuts. Kind of a harsh morning. Not feeling donut love.I’m sure this will be easily remediated once this oak park location could make their donuts in house I think that really will add to the dynamic doughnut experience /it’s just a little bit too precious. Not feeling warm fuzzy vibes either.I kind of feel like early morning shift people need to be a little bit more warm but that’s just me. It’s hard to be a morning person I understand. But I’m paying for quality donuts. I guess that’s all I’m paying for. The coffee is on point. The best thing about this morning and this place is the coffee. Be careful it’s piping hot.

Love the donuts from this place. They always come out great. They are a little pricey so I like to save it for surprising my boyfriend for a good morning start :)I like that they serve a small selection of paczkis for Fat Tuesday AND a few days after. I totally missed the rush to get my order in ahead of time so I was happy I could order some the day after.

We walked way over a mile with our granddaughter to get what she called the best donuts available anywhere. She was right. It is a small store with a wonderful display of donuts of all the usual types plus lots of originals. We all loved the choices we made and will return soon.

I ordered the honey glazed donut and the pumpkin creme brûlée donut. The honey glazed donut was not very sweet and had an almost stale texture. The creme brûlée donut was okay. I wouldn’t go back again.

Cute spot for a sweet tooth. Donuts were fresh but a little over priced. We ordered the caramel and vanilla lattes and they tasted great. They are not over sweet like certain coffee spots.

Fantastic donuts and a killer chicken sandwich! They have a vegan and a gluten free option every day as well as some delish seasonal offerings. The classics are awesome and I cant wait to get my hands on one of the giant sprinkle filled birthday donuts!

Donuts were good but not 💯 what I was expecting. I truly was expecting something more moist and just felt like they were regular donuts. Mind you, Im not a donut fanatic but i love food.. i may have set my bar to high but overall they were good.

The donut ice cream sandwich is amazing! Try the churro donut with cinnamon ice cream! Cinnamony deliciousness! And such friendly service!

The donuts are very boutique and tasty. They can be a little pricey if you are on a budget.

Solid option for donuts here. The cake donut has a good dense crumbly texture to it. The chocolate dipped donut has a good crumb that rises back up after each bite, and the chocolate dip is just the right amount of sweet. The person working was super friendly and helpful with our selection process. Definitely worth a visit!

The store was extremely clean! Including the restrooms. The employees all had smiles it made it feel so warm and welcoming! So happy I stopped there this morning it made my day!

New takes on old classics makes for darn good donuts. On my visit, I enjoyed the Wildflower Honey Glazed and Buttermilk Old Fashioned.

From out of town so this location was great, because the parking garage is free for the first owner. This location is small but the donuts were great. My personal favorite was the honey glazed and Tahitian vanilla.

Rob the gentleman at the front was overly courteous and polite and fulfilled our order promptly. 10/10 would return even though I don’t live in town.The shop is small but everything is well made and fresh. Definitely not your average donut shop! Stop in head to try something new.

It was well worth the drive to get here. The doughnut were pretty darn good. The ice cream doughnut sandwich failed to really impress me but it was still good. The shopping plaza across the street are a bunch of crooks dont park there. My mom watched 4 cars get towed even though they were shopping there. They have a scout waiting for you to leave your car. Just a fair warning.... back to the doughnuts they were pretty good the best one for me was the creme brulee and the pistachio.

Adorable little place. They had a GF donut. Very yummy. Definitely more like a cake in the shape of a donut but it was wonderful nonetheless. The customer service was great. I called ahead and she only had two left so she held them for me. Very awesome. The other donuts all looked and smelled amazing. I cannot comment on the taste as I cant have gluten but I would say by the looks of how busy they were that they must be as good as they look. :))

I like fire cake, because of the quality of its donuts, but you will be disappointed by the bad attention of its employees, just in this location.Yesterday, Saturday around 1:30pm I went to pick up my order, and I found a terrible attention from an employee who, was wearing an orange shirt, and that her rudeness surprised me, I ask for my order and not even the second employee with a green shirt looked at me, they only pointed to a table. I am a long time a Fire cakes costumer but I will never return to this location, I make a call to those who run this place. By the way, there were no more clients, it was just me

Clearly you pay a premium for quality, but its totally worth it. Ive tried most of their regular offerings and nothing has yet to disappoint. The classic donuts tend to be my favorite: old fashioned buttermilk, apple fritter etc. I havent tried the chicken yet, but its on my list!

Their “birthday cake” (which i believe is made out of 2 of their tahitian vanilla donuts) was delicious and the cute presentation makes for a very memorable gift. can’t wait to come back here! service was excellent; i interacted with 2 different employees both over the phone and in-person, and they were both incredibly friendly.

The staff was great! The location is cozy and cute. Prices are average. Variety of donuts was pretty amazing. The chips are homemade and tasty. The bacon maple slider was interesting, I wasnt expecting it be on glazed donut buns...didnt even realized such a thing existed. Surprisingly the pairing was overwhelmingly sweet and made for fun dinner. I was looking for a new experience in Oak Park and this definitely offered me one. Didnt make my Top Ten list for desserts, but it was totally worth the experience. Note: the donut ice cream sandwiches are made with gelato, not ice cream.

Very nice staff, tasty donuts

I tried this place for the first time when the polar vortex hit Chicago. We were offered free coffee for just stopping in. The customer service was excellent. Kind, patient and very helpful. All of the donut options make it difficult to choose because everything looks so good! They even serve fried chicken glazed donut sandwiches! I look forward to trying that my next visit.

3 stars. I’m glad oak park has a donut shop. Minus one star as I find their donuts vs say do/-rite donuts downtown to be just average. Minus a star as well for when you call in an order and have to wait behind everyone before getting your already made order. They have good chicken sandwiches but it often takes them 20 minutes to get them out to you regardless of the fact that they will say 5-10 mins. So overall 3 stars.

I could smell this place from miles away! I had to come check it out and was very excited to see they had a Vegan/Gluten Free option!!! It was chocolate and coconut and it was soooo good!!! Thank you!! Their cold brew was also very delicious!!!! Great place, great atmosphere, prices, staff, etc!!! Keep up the great work!!!!

I had never been to this shop before, but I have to say I was more than pleased. It had a mellow vibe and the lady at the register (I think her name was Ava?) Had been very welcoming and sweet and made my experience a great one. I definitely recommend the bacon Long John and will be returning more times in the future

Chicken sandwiches! The donuts are best-in-town, the coffees good, but the chicken is the hidden treasure. You can get it spicy and/or with bacon if you want. One of the sandwiches has a quarter of a chicken on it! They also make chicken and bacon sandwiches on donuts! Favorite donut: pistachio.

The chicken sandwich is a sleeper pick at a donut/coffee shop, but it’s too notch. Donuts also good.

Love their donuts! I just wish the spot was bigger and cozier where you can lounge and meet up for a chat over coffee. It feels more like a to-go place. Still love it!

Visited on a return trip to Chicago to see our friends. Delicious donuts and great coffee. Not a lot of seating inside but was fine for our group. The vanilla donut was nice and Rich and the pistachio one was a hit too!

Helpful and friendly staff. Donuts are amazing. Get the buttermilk old fashioned or the seasonal specialty old fashioned. Coffee is excellent as well. I bring in the donuts and coffee to my staff, they love it and ask where to buy it themselves.

This is the best little shop for donuts and hot beverages! The Belgian chocolate was so smooth and the gluten free donut was awesome and the high gluten donuts are even better. But really impressed me was the service! The went the extra mile to right a mistake and were super sweet!

The donuts are great. One of my favorite donuts is the peanut butter and jelly donut. That one is a holiday donut so you have to look out when it comes out. The rest of the donuts are amazing too.

I was actually shocked how good their donuts are the first time I had one. I’ve been there several times since. I recommend the old fashioned buttermilk. The extra little indents they put in the dough makes it super crispy on the outside.

Nice donut shop in a sea of Dunkins. More expensive than the chain stores, but far, far better donuts. My son approved of the big as his head donuts. There are a few seats and fresh squeezed juice here as well.

This is my first time at Firecakes Donuts. The Bearclaw I had was the equivalent to one Id buy at Jewel Food Store. The coffee was quite lackluster. Service was fine since I was the only customer. Pricing was very high for the quality.

It is wonderful to have a donut shop in OP now, this shop is really cute and the employees we helpful. If 5 stars is the best donut I’ve ever eaten I would have to give this place a 3. The donuts we good but nothing to ride home about.

Got lunch for work here today. Everyone raves about the donuts but their chicken sandwiches are nothing to write off either. Delcious. Everyone at work was very happy with their meal. The storefront is cozy and service was quick. They had a line at the front and everyone was helped in a timely manner and our order was ready when I arrived and I got there before the expected time. Great local fixture that I hope sticks around for awhile.

Variety is great, prices arent terrible $2-3/donut. Donuts are delicious. We ordered the Peppermint Hot Chocolate donut, it was amazing. After 11am, they start serving fried chicken sandwiches.

Limited seating, prepare to wait 10+ minutes for them to prepare your breakfast sandwich. Not stroller friendly at all, I wish there was more space inside so the kids can enjoy a fun brunch. Less selection that the downtown location.

Had their donuts once before and it was amazing. A nice replacement for Glazed and infused that closed down recently. The Tah. Vanilla is magical. Trying their fritter today thanks to my amazing friend treating me today. Cheers!

Have no idea how they taste. After 10 minutes of standing in line (no exaggeration) we and woman in front of us figured out that we werent in a line after 6 others came in behind us. Bad design is the reason. The 2 ladies working the counter either need help, training, or a clue. Only 1 customer left with donuts the entire time we were there and not from a shortage of what looked like interesting donuts. We Will be back to try them in a few weeks, but hopefully they will smooth these issues out.

If you would like to know what clouds taste like, try the award winning vanilla bean donut. If youd like a cup of coffee poured from heaven, try the nitro iced coffee. Everything is fresh and always delicious! Your mouth will thank you!

Donut ice cream sandwich is good. I went with the glazed donut with vanilla ice cream and caramel and it was amazing.

Pretty excited to have a donut shop in the neighborhood. A bit pricey but worth paying a little extra. I went there on a Thursday evening and the place was packed barely space. They had maybe 4 different types of donuts as they were sold out of everything else.

Always good seasonal donuts! Baked fresh daily. Really delicious La Colombe Nizza coffee too. My absolute favorite.

Love this place, the barista was busy but she kept a smile on her face the whole time! We ordered a chai latte and a matcha latte and some doughnuts, everything was delicious!

This place is overpriced and donuts were NOT all that. The young lady in the counter too was very standoffish like if she did not want to take care of us- but yet I bought $28 dollars worth of donuts and a icecream donut sandwich. Not a big deal place.

Best Donuts ever. Try there old fashioned pistachio flavor donut and if they have this seasonal Red Valvet Donut with whipped Goat cream cheese. It was super deliecious.

Love the variety of donuts! Donut Ice cream sandwiches are good, but of course like most things, there are select flavors and combinations for toppings which limit the customer to an otherwise Amazing experience.

The place is extremely small but they’re very friendly and the doughnuts area absolutely delicious!!! I love the old fashioned, the honey glazed and the chocolate glazed. Can’t wait to try the chicken.

I give it 3 stars because the bacon maple sliders are fabulous, but you can’t place orders over the phone and you can’t order the sliders for pick up because the online menu is incomplete. The only way to get sliders or a chicken sandwich is through Gribhub delivery. So I’m paying extra to have something delivered I walk over to pick up!Somebody is getting over.
