We weren’t going to wait because the line was so long but we decided to give it a chance. The drinks are great but my husband didn’t enjoy it much because they didn’t really have the coffee taste. I got the caramel blonde. I enjoyed it.

Updated my review demoted from 3 stars to 1.Went there is morning with my wife, the front of the drive through delivery window was swarming with bees. We told the manager working there today that there’s bees swarming on everything and we’re allergic to bee stings. She shrugged and said “oh yeah, there’s bees,” and then just kept making drinks. Not sure if today was “casual Friday“ or what because everyone there had a dirty shirt on that looked like it was slept in, and no one seemed prepared to work.Definitely will never be going back.

This store location was out of a lot of flavors, that were not marked on their menu. When we asked about anything else, the girls working there were rude and did not care anything but how their hair and makeup looked. 11/10 would not recommend this location, unless you want a rude batista who dont care enough to listen to your order and may or may not spit in your drink. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!

The sugar-free Fuel is a favorite and Black Rock is a favorite amongst family and friends. Great local Oceanside Business. Skip the Starbucks and support local businesses like this

Whether it be the IV indicating the 6 shots of espresso made with chocolate milk going straight to your system, or a simple coffee with heavy cream to keep you in #ketosis, Black Rock as us regulars call it; has got you every time. If you see a long line of cars in this small parking lot dont be deterred; they can crank out a motorcade of coffee cravers faster than most major walk-in chains can. Also, dont be afraid to ask for something interesting and custom. If theyve got it, theyll do it and do it better. You are likely to pull up to a tiny hut of busy bees blasting music and having a good time. But before you can absorb it all, youll have your drink in hand. Yes, they are that fast. And please dont forget to tip these folks as theyll start your mornings off right and end your afternoons just right!

Best coffee in Oceanside. We love Jake, Charlie and all the ladies! The line gets really long but moves soooo fast. Worth any wait tbh.

The Caramel Blondie Chiller with whip cream is my absolute favorite! Really love this cute little coffee bar. Its nice that its a simple drive-thru with an easy to read and understand menu. The staff here are pretty friendly and theyre really good at getting customers their orders pretty quickly, even on busy days! While I the wait times on busy days arent too horrible, it would be nice if they had a speaker on their outdoor menu, to take orders. Even two outdoor menus with speakers might help traffic flow better. But regardless, Ive never had to wait any longer than 5-7 or so minutes to get my order! Great coffee, cute little building and very convenient location with good staff.

I cant believe I havent submitted a review for you guys after all the years I had gone there. Best coffee!!! Stopping there is part of my daily routine, the people who works there including the owner are super cool. Yes you can get a different taste of coffee when certain people arent there....weird right?!? But no one is perfect and they do get super busy but if you go back and let them know they will fix without complaint. I just love going there. Thank you guys for your hard work and staying open with the safety guidelines.

This place is awesome! The employees are always friendly very laid back sort of atmosphere and best part is a drive through with very little line. Better than starbucks, in my opinion, and its much more reasonable in terms of prices.

I love that black rock is my local coffee bar! They have great coffee and customer service. Its walking distance from my place, and even though there is always a line in the drive thru, they mark my spot in the line and have me jump in at the last second. Thank you for all the wonderful smiles!

This small coffee shop in the middle of a parking lot is Oceansides best coffee on the go. Staff is friendly and attentive. I hadnt tried it but glad I did, too bad ill be working away from here soon enough but hey...its next to the 5 so its convenient.

Be leary of the matcha latte - ordered, paid 10$ & was given cups full of milk with clumped matcha. Very disappointing & not satisfying to say the least

First tried this place in Las Vegas and loved the flavors here. Glad to find a little spot here in Carlsbad with the same. Can’t go wrong with Caramel Blondie here, my only suggestion would be to order items half sweet because it might get too much especially towards the bottom of the cup.

I always order the same drink, but they are inconsistent with how they make it. Sometimes it will be too much of an ingredient or not enough, but I prefer to support smaller coffee shops.

I am just completely appalled right now. I gave the cashier at 10 when my order was only $4.25. She gives me $.75 and walks off. I had to flag someone down to try to get my change back as she just pretended like I didn’t exist. And then she lied and said I only gave her a five. Then they proceed to only give me four dollars back when I should’ve gotten five but at that point I was too upset(and at this point running late) to explain to them that in total may change should’ve been $5.75.

The drinks are absolutely wonderful and the coffee powered drinks are delicious and will energize you no matter how badly you are dragging! These drinks can be made mild or so fortified that woke up isnt the only thing youll get!

I am all for great guest service and when the guy behind the counter on Monday may 11th around 830 asked if I would trust him with making a guava infusion I loved the peach guava combo he made me! He was awesome, also really love the infusions there with the organic energy drinks!

Got charged extra because I asked for my lemonade with light ice. Wasn’t even told of the up charge over heard the owner tell the cashier to charge me since I wanted it light ice. Very rude could of warned me.

I feel like the owner has recently changed. Ive gone here for a long time. But all the sudden the coffee is filled up with full of ice, and the coffee bean taste became super bitter. I used to love here because of mild and sweet taste of bean, but it tastes nasty right now. So sad

I’ve been going to BRCB since I was 10 when I lived in Portland, and it was right down the street! I live in Anaheim now, and drive 120 miles total once a week just got this coffee. The location is super small and drive through only unlike the walk-in/drive through/ beautiful modern style buildings in Oregon. Also, sometime the staff can be arrogant and rude, but I just come here for the coffee. In Oregon, I go for the coffee AND the customer service, but that’s because Oregonians are nicer than most Californians. 😊

One of my favorite places in the San Diego area. I usually just order a large cup the Americano. Recently, I had business meeting in Gaslamp and I had driven in from Oxnard and needed some caffeine and I decided to change it up and went with the Mexican Mocha, it was very flavorful. After my meeting, I had to drive back and definitely needed some extra fuel to get home safely. Stopped in again before they closed and ordered the Jackhammer, was very awesome and kept me in good spirits on the drive home.

Coffee was delicious, and the baristas were really fast, even with a long line of cars. Much cheaper than Starbucks and the friendly baristas made my day!

Good coffee, definitely better than Starbucks 🌟 . Easy location, especially if youre heading up to goat hill for a early morning round of golf. I dont know their hours, but for me its been hit or miss driving in the area so you might want to check. Could just be me and weird timing. Still, I highly recommend it. Very close to highway 5 @ oceanside Blvd, and also close to goat hill Blvd on the way up. Also close to Kyoto market which is another area favorite you should check out while youre there.

Ive been going here for quite a few years now. Coffee is always made well and they are pretty quick for being just a little lone kiosk. The employees are polite and professional. I prefer this place to starbucks honestly. They used to be a lot cheaper than starbucks but now its about the same but Id rather give them my money than a mega corporation.

I got a non coffee beverage, and I really enjoyed it. It was the mint chip chiller. I love getting milkshake type products for breakfast! I would recommend this place as the coffee place to go to over various others in the area.

Black Rock coffee is strong. Theyre fast to get you your order, almost TOO fast and have messed up numerous orders. Sometimes the coffee taste funk. I dont go here anymore. If you do end up here just get an iced coffee the latte no good.

Would only give 1 star but the coffee was good. The customer service however was awful. There was 4 different girls there and they all were very rude. They treat you like you are doing them the favor and like you are wasting their time... wouldnt recommend if you are looking for a friendly place.

We come all the way up from central San Diego for Black Rock coffee!!! My absolute favorite coffee to get here is a concoction of my own. Its half Jackhammer and half caramel blondie. I call it the Blonde Hammer! Maybe theyll put it on the menu some day!!!
