Just picked up a salsa beargrease and a surly ice cream truck.Super easy to work with Vince. Help the wife make a decision since she never had a bike before.Have a decent selection in the store but can get bike you want in short order. I knew what I wanted so I didnt put the shop through the paces trying a bunch of bikes. I did like the easy-going atmosphere. Competitive pricing. Looking forward to spending more time there.

This is one of the coolest bike shops in the midwest IMO. I cant wait to come back here again. The selection is unlike anything youll find at any other bike shop around and the couple that owns it is so nice and genuine

Awesome bike shop with really friendly people! I was in search of a surly ice cream truck which was seemingly a lost cause in the middle of the pandemic but luckily my local shop suggested I try ponderosa. I am so glad I gave them a call. They were able to track down the exact bike I was looking for and help get me out riding in no time. The service was fast and professional and the quality of their work was really high I could not recommend them more highly!

A couple months ago, I brought in my kid’s MTB for a tune up because the rear mech was glitching regardless how much I adjusted it. He diagnosed right off that the hanger was canted. He threw a new one on free of charge. A few weeks later I dropped a preorder deposit for my 2021Kona Process thinking I would get it in the Spring. Vince sent out some good juju to Bellingham. Like a wizard, he got the Kona rep to ship my bike in November! I’m ecstatic that I get to rip it on local trails and in the snow.

These people are fair, honest, knowledgeable and not out to make as much from you as possible. I took my highly neglected trail bike in for a tune-up along with an old touring bike my granddaughter wanted to have refurbished. Vince fixed my bike up great for a reasonable charge. He told me he could fix up the touring bike for my granddaughter for one price; however, he felt her needs and body type would be better served by another option with a bike better suited to what she would be using it for on a college campus. He arranged to have us look at another bike which we could purchase and have fixed up cheaper than refurbishing the touring bike. My granddaughter did like it better and it cost me less money. Vince was just being straightforward and honest even though it made him less money. I had never met anybody from this shop before we went there. I highly recommend it and we will return with any future business. Thanks, Vince!

Amazing local bike shop. The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly. They are the place to go if you are looking for advice on how to get into long distance cycling or cant resist a new fat bike.

Destroyed my bike on the way home and walked it over to ponderosa. Vince was able to fix the bike (sent me an email with pictures of my damage) and give it back to me working better than ever! Was happy to have my bike back but even happier he managed to save my headphones and sunglasses I had left in the store! Would recommend 10/10

Vince at Ponderosa is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. I went with my friend from shop to shop in Lincoln and Omaha to find her a bike that would fit her needs and budget. Every other shop was all about accessories and a buy it now mentality, but not Vince. My friend purchased a bike from Vince and we now make it a priority to get over to Ponderosa whenever we are in Omaha (we live in Lincoln) to say hey to Vince, Jessica, and their shop cat, Lyle. I have only ever bought a shirt from Ponderosa, but if I am to buy a bike, there is only one place Ill go.

This place is the perfect LBS. Super knowledgeable, no big sales pitches, takes time to answer any and all questions - Vince is the man. They built me a bike from the frame up and it is absolutely perfect. Better than I could have hoped. And to top it off, their prices are super reasonable. I cant say enough good things! Hope they are open for years to come!

Nailed a pothole on Tuesday and split my rim. Walked it to another bike shop near my work downtown and they were unable to get the job done in a timely fashion (likely about 2 weeks). They transferred the bike to Ponderosa who was able to get the job done by that Friday. As one who gets around only by bike, getting my bike back quick is essential. If not for the hills in the area I would consider them first for much of my bike work. Easily an asset to the area for bicycle commuters.

I had a flat on my ride yesterday and still fairly new to the area I asked a local biker about a good bike shop. He said he used Ponderosa Bike Shop and they had treated him well. We live in Midtown so they were close planned on dropping my bike and getting it back next week based experience I had at different bike shop when we first moved here. I rolled my bike in to Ponderosa was greeted immediately, told them what was wrong and 20 minutes later I was walking out the door Bike in hand. Vince replaced the tube, inspected the tire and made an adjustment to the shifter. Outstanding service would highly recommend to anyone. Great shop and Great people and a sleepy kitty cat😊. Will be my spot for my biking needs.Thank You

Very nice and patient staff. Google didnt show this one when my wife and I searched for bike shops but luckily we found it driving by. Vince was awesome and not only let my wife try out two bikes but also explained in detail all the features of each bike we looked at. He let me borrow a bike as well during her trial rides. Though they are in a smaller building they had a great selection on types of bikes but unfortunately didnt have the right size in stock for my wife for the one she was wanting, though they would order it for us. I felt really comfortable shopping here - no pressure and even though they seemed to be getting lots of business at the time we got personal attention. Definitely will stop in here again when we need additional gear or tune ups and Im hoping to try out one of their monthly rides soon.

If i could afford it, Id go back and buy another bike from Ponderosa literally just to buy a bike from Ponderosa. I bought a Kona Rove AL and its been great. It had a mini problem with the chain after some riding in a week and they fixed it up right away. They also went out of their way to make sure to explain things but also show me on the bike, which seems simple but other bike shops didnt really do. They made plenty of suggestions about accessories and gear without being pushy and made sure I knew I have options that met my (probably lower for most cyclists) budget. Vince was so helpful and the store has a chill vibe, so whether youre a die-hard cyclist or more of a beginner (like me) I cant recommend this place enough. Ponderosa Cyclery is great!!

Great place!! I purchased my bike helmet there and Vince - the owner - was very welcoming and knowledgable, and he has a great selection of bikes and accessories. I dont have the best knowledge when it comes to bike mechanics, and Vince was very accommodating and helpful with my questions, and it was great chatting it up with him. I plan on taking my 70s Gitane there to have him tweak it. Also, you get a discount for riding your bike there!

Best touring advice in Omaha from an expert. You won’t be made to feel dumb for asking dumb questions. Vince is the absolute best. Go there. Buy all sorts of gear and a new bike.

Best bike shop/mechanic in town!! Vince is more than knowledgeable and V patient when it comes to questions about gear, bikes or maintenance. He fixed my tire and gave me a tune up ultra fast- we talked about the different things I could do to make my old bianci a little nicer ride. He showed me prices on some gear shifters, but wasnt pushing for a sale- he just wanted to give me all the facts. Thats what makes the customer service top notch, and whether you dont know a lot (like me) or love shop talk; youll feel like youre in the right place. (Plus theres sometimes a sweet lil shop kitten!)
