Had never been here before was a cool experience. The lady knew so much about teas and explained things so well. My wife and I enjoyed our teas. We just had to add some honey and sugar but everyones preferences are different! If you like tea visit The Tea Smith!

Fantastic tea store! I was in town from KC and this was the one shop in or around Omaha I wanted to stop at on the weekend trip. Unfortunately, the only time I was able to was directly after we got in town, about a half an hour before they closed on a Friday. I was quick and able to get out before 8, but I could have spent another hour there. The employees were fantastic at helping me decide which blends to get and never showed a hint of frustration with me even though it was closing time. The teas I bought are outstanding quality and I really appreciated the staff. The store itself is lovely as well! I will be ordering off their website in the future and stopping in the next time Im in Omaha. Thanks for everything!

I’ve always loved visiting, and today was no exception. I had an idea of what I was hoping for, but no idea what I would need to order to get that…. I mentioned being in the mood for something hot, that I really enjoy a tea latte, and was hoping for a “fall flavor” and they absolutely hit the nail on the head! Any time I make my way to Omaha I try to hit the Tea Smith, and would recommend the same for anyone else!

As I walked in, the aroma of delicious tea welcomes me. The set up is beautiful, warm, and inviting. The service is quick, and friendly. Great place to run away to and relax. Their selection of tea is great. My children and I went in for their boboa tea, and were very satisfied. Would definitely recommend this place. A little pricey but well worth it.

Came here on a Thursday at around 7PM craving maybe fruit tea with tapioca or milk tea. We’ve never been here before so we didn’t know what to expect at all. Came in and it smelled really good! The lady who helped us was really nice and had a nice short convo. We’re not really hot tea people, but would definitely come back AND RECOMMEND for milk and fruit teas.

The Tea Smith hosted a virtual tea and chocolate sampling on Valentines Day. It was so much fun. We registered, then teas and chocolates were mailed to us. (Ive also been to this event in person, also wonderful!) A lot of work went into finding the exact teas to pair with the chocolates. Even as a long time customer, I always learn interesting things about the teas. Was introduced to the Restoring Harmony herbal blend and highly recommend it.

My first visit and I will definitely be returning to try many more of their teas.

Great variety of drinks and customization options. I tried combination of flavors - banana and vanilla as suggested by the lady on the counter and that is the best boba I had till date. The lady helped me choose my drink and answered my questions. I feel welcomed the moment I walked in, Ambience is good and service is great. I would definitely visit again.

I always had great experiences with Tea Smith in the past. However today, the girl (blonde, long hair, about 5’3, I didnt bother to ask her name) took my order was not so nice. I wanted to order extra boba, but she already ran up my drink so I did not want her to have to redo everything, so I was nice to not even bother to ask for it. But she was like “you can not order extra boba, and walked away. I DIDNT SAY ANYTHING OUT LOUD EVEN THAT WAS WHAT I WANTED. That was when I decided to ask why? And the way she responded was so rude. Terrible customer service!!!!!! After I got my drink, i just walked away.

You gotta support this small business. If you like tea, grocery store bought does not compare to their amazing selection. Their lavender boba tea is also so good. My husband liked the chocolate. So many other flavors to choose from as well.

This is a great place to find and explore teas. I travel a lot and love going to different tea houses and finding new teas and this place is a real gem. So surprised to find it in mid-west America. The tea quality and variety is amazing and the price is incredible. Even though I havent traveled back in almost a year, I still order online often. Love it!

Service is amazing. I had to make a trip outside of the building for a few min, and they were kind enough to watch my belongings so I didnt have to pack everything up. They also gave great recommendations on teas and new what Ingredients were included in there drinks. I will continue to be a customer of tea Smith because of the awesome service as I do not get that kind of service at most coffee shops I go to. I’ve been coming to this shop for several months now and they were always great, polite staff, never had an order mixup—some of the nonbeverage options are a tad expensive but usually everything is pretty fairly priced.Recently however there have been many issues with my orders—making the wrong drink, twice, which took almost an hour and in the end when I just took what they handed me they had still made it wrong. Long wait times (which is understandable when busy, but the wait times are almost always long no matter what now.) For instance, today I ran in to grab a muffin and lemonade on my break, and I waited almost the ENTIRE 30 minutes of my break before asking if my order was ready—mind, All everyone else’s orders have been filled. They hadn’t even started it and had forgotten about it entirely. I ended up being several minutes late back to work because of it. It’s gotten to the point where it’s just inexcusable.

This is a great place I love the atmosphere there.

Since the move to the new location, I feel that the Tea Smith has gotten even better. Their quality tea is reasonably priced and the staff is clearly trained on correct handling/preparation. They also dont intimidate newcomers as some establishments do. Ive witnessed multiple occasions where staff took the time to make recommendations and answer questions for customers who were new to the experience.The Tea Smith also hosts educational events. I havent attended one yet, but they look interesting.Blends by The Tea Smith currently sitting in my tea stash include Genmaicha (Japanese green with toasted grain), and Rose Congou (very pretty black blend accented with rose).

Revisited the tea shop.Some of the staff is excellent. Others I found a bit less welcoming.They have some new interesting things such as a spicy popping boba.They do cuppings as well. $160 will do it for 10 people.They also recently partnered with coneflower ice cream to do affogatos (one time event)_____Previous review:Nice tea shop with a good assortment of teas. They have free samples to try in store and you can order tea to go.Interaction with staff was limited that day.I do like that they have a membership program. Included a picture of the details in my review. Its not close enough for me to want to buy, but if I did live closer I would definitely consider it!

Have patronized The Tea Smith shops for many years. Top quality teas and great, friendly service. Usually buy bulk Darjeeling black teas. Tim Smith is a great host, has good advice and serves nothing but the best. We are fortunate to have his shop here in Omaha.

Pretty good boba! Its not very authentic, but they have a lot of options for a tea place. What I love most about this cafe is that the employees are always super nice and welcoming. Some even recognize me and remember my name. Great ambiance and staff!

I have been buying tea from the Tea Smith Store for two years! And, every time I enter the store I am greeted with a warm welcome! And, the tea is also brilliant! Loads of all sorts of teas and tea stuff for starters and for us who have been drinking tea for a while.Im looking forward to the summer, for which I can go through their smoothies! YUMMY!

One of my favorite places in the city! I love their teas and the atmosphere. Emerald sun green tea is one of my favorites...tastes like a citrus almond green tea. Give it a try!

Popping Boba 🤩

This is my #1 place in town to get tea. The variety is good, the quality is superb, the staff are knowledgeable, and if you can’t leave your house, you can order your tea online and have it delivered.

Love this place so far. Second time there today. Both times tried something different and both were delicious. Also, the customer service is awesome. Great experiences both times 😁 will definitely be coming back again.

My favorite spot for tea. I love the cozy shop, and the wall full of tea tins is so cool - it takes forever to decide what I want because theres so many choices! The tea catalog is digital now and super easy to flip through. Plus I love that I can get a pot of tea to sip, plus buy bags of loose tea for later. Love the monthly blends and knowledgeable friendly staff.

I have come to The Tea Smith a lot, bought some great teas, and enjoyed the bubble tea (my special favorite). A couple of years ago I brought my little grandchildren (3 and 8 years old), whose mother is Japanese. They loved the bubble tea. My granddaughter (8) had matcha flavor, and my grandson (3) chose the popping boba. Now whenever they come to visit from New York they want to go to The Tea Smith. Last summer they were only here for two days on their way home from a road trip, and The Tea Smith was the one definite place they wanted to go. I pop in every time Im in that part of town.

Great cozy place to enjoy a cup or pot of fresh brewed tea. My favorite teas are the Earl Grey varieties and they are all delicious. The owner of the shop is a very nice man and knows his teas. He keeps binders listing all his teas and their descriptions. Oh! and there is a small but nice selection of snacks to have with your tea. Highly recommended shop!

Super knowledgeable staff! Very friendly and accommodating. Ive visited twice so far, for 2 very different reasons. The first time I bought loose tea for a gift. The second time I bought bubble tea with my wife (it was delicious). Everyone was extremely helpful and patient both times.

Let start off by saying that I am a coffee drinker and even still I love The Tea Smith. They have as far as I know every type of tea beyond green or black. They have teas from all over, not just China, but India, Japan, all over Europe. They even have what Ill consider custom blends. I recently picked up their healing harmony blend to help with a really sore throat and boy howdy did I feel better. My wife is the primary tea drinker and well probably visit once a season or so to look and smell and probably buy some tea too. These people really know their tea.

The staff is very helpful. They have a great selection of teas. The atmosphere is relaxing. It is a great place to read, work, or meet with friends.

Went there in search of a Persian tea but they didnt have any. That was ok, the friendly service made up for it and so did the exceptional tea we had bought in its place. 1 of them was a jasmine tea and it is filled with excellent flavors and aromas.. Try it! You might like it!

I frequent both this Tea Smith location and the one down in Old Market. Very refreshing and wonderful teas, my favorite is a mango or peach bubble tea. 99% of the time I am very pleased, however one day at the 78th and Dodge location I was feeling experimental. I wanted to try a large Earl Grey bubble tea with milk and sweetened. The order was just about right, but they had forgotten to sweeten it. Whenever I stick with my usual order, Ive never been disappointed. Also, as some other reviews have pointed out, itd be wonderful if they were open later at this location. The one in Old Market is open till 10 on Friday and Saturday nights, if this one were as well that would be fantastic.

I stopped in today to pick up an order for someone. In all the years theyve been open, this is the first time Ive been in the shop as Im not a huge tea fan. I have to say how nice all of the staff were and that I was really impressed with everything they had on display and with the drinks my granddaughter and I got!

I think they carry any tea you would want. Amazing staff, they are extremely knowledgeable and eager to help you find the right tea.It is my go to place in Omaha for tea, accessories and tables for drinking tea in house. Love this place!

I always stop by here to try out teas Ive never had before. Update: Fantastic, flavorful teas that are way beyond the teabags you behind your local supermarket. The current favorite according to Sarah is the APPLE ALMOND DELIGHT tisane (not made with tea leaves). Great for the evening since it doesn’t have caffeine. Also heard you can add the tea leftover to your morning oatmeal for a flavor boost.

So much more than just tea here! In addition to an entire wall of loose leaf tea, Tea Smith also has teacup sets, cozies, tea mugs (there are some really cute ones), and plenty of tables and a few comfy chairs. Theres even board games and mandala coloring if you want to pass the time.Specialties, Id say the bubble milk, bubble tea, and the smoothies are all really good. The staff is really nice and has great recommendations.No, I dont work here and Im not getting anything for this review. But Tea Smith is an Omaha original and has supported many local artists (you can buy their stuff right there!) and has made the local paper a few times. They collaborate with Bliss Bakery, Legends Comics and Coffee, and other community partners.Come for tea. And then keep coming back.

I used to go here almost every day back when I still lived in Omaha, and its always been great! Happy to see its kept it up when I came back for a visit. Staff always friendly and very knowledgable, the teas are great, and its a great cozy environment to hang with friends or to get work done. I certainly miss having it so near!!

The staff was friendly except for one tall white girl with dyed back hair. It was obviously my first time there and I did not know exactly how to order and she was impatient and rude, made me decide not to come back after our interaction. Tea was good though. I would recommend this place as long as that black haired girl isnt working.

I always try to get my Lavender Bubble Milk before school or work here, I love the location, all of the staff (Specially Nick who always has my bubble milk ready when I call it in, Thanks Nick!) and all the tea selections they have! They have a ton of loose teas for purchase along with a large selection of drinks such as bubble tea, tea, milk tea etc. They have some desert like items (cookies etc) available as well. They also have many tea making accessories for sale as well.I had bubble tea which was very good, could be a little sweater though depending on the flavor. The fruit smoothes are also very good as well!

Been coming here for years. The bubble milk is absolutely delicious. I usually mix my drinks and get a red bean strawberry with almond milk and pomegranate pop boba. I do a few others, but this place is always awesome. I hope they expand.

This place is pretty cool. It is owned by the family of a friend, but I hadnt gone there until recently. They have many, many options for tea, and there are always samples to try. A loyalty program provides you the ability to earn discounts. I originally went there because we were close and I figured I might as well try their boba. It is absolutely better than going to the bigger chain places in town, by far!! Ive also had their tea, but it was provided as the refreshment at a spa I went to once... To give you the idea of the quality. This spa was certainly high end and they choose to provide The Tea Smith as part of the experience! Anyway... Now I go in every time we are close by.The only reason I have 4 stars instead of 5 has to do with people. Both the staff and the other patrons. While everyone is perfectly nice, service is a little slow, and Ive had occasional difficulty receiving timely attention. One visit took us nearly an hour to get two drinks because we were the third customer in line, and those in front of us were definitely insisting on attention. While I know the staff cannot control the social choices of others, I do feel that these situations could be handled better... One time, I was having to wait an exceptional amount of time because the customer in front of me was jokingly insulting the staff to show off to his date, to prove he was a regular. Why he was entertained with this behavior for so long, I dont know. Thus, if I had any feedback to give, it would be to be more assertive with customers. We now will walk out if we see more than one person at the counter because this time situation has happened more than once.Anyway, with the multiple tea gifts, the snacks and the tasty drinks, I still certainly recommend it and I do hope that with time, we will be able to create a 5 star experience.

I live in Chicago and have been to all the tea shops. This tea shop is the best one Ive ever been to. They sell tons of varieties, both pure specialties from tea growing places, and curated and created blends- all at a reasonable price, not inflated. You can also get hot or iced tea to order, smoothies, boba, chai... Theyve got it all! The selection, the service, the ambience- all top-notch. If you like tea, give them your business, you wont regret it.

Excellent customer service and Raymond dacians when it comes to trying boba for the first time! I took my brother there whos been quite a bit of time in Japan and loves all raw tea! I Dont even know how many selections they have! But I love all of the cups and tea sets as well. We will definitely be going there for some Christmas presents next year!

A massive selection of specialty teas with a lot of unique varieties. In house service but due to the nature of teas need to steep its not exactly as quick as a coffee shop. The sample selection of .75 once bags was a little small, if there were a way to enjoy sample sizes on all they have to offer that would put them over the top. Nevertheless, certainly a good place to come and try new teas by the cup, as well as pick up tea supplies. They also stock Yi Xing teapots, which is a nice surprise, as thats not something found very often.

They have a truly massive variety of loose leaf teas and pretty much any tea related supplies you may need.I would recommend the milk oolong and blue shadow teas.I always keep some at home really hits the spot when its cold out.

We have been shopping at this business for over 6 years now. My wife drinks a lot of tea and loves all the choices the Tea Smith offers. In addition their pricing is very comfortable. What is not nice is their recent rating by the health dept. We have been advised by the folks at that dept that they personally wont buy food from any establishment rated fair or standard and we intend to follow those guidelines.In addition, the attitude of the employees at the west location has deteriated to rude and snippy at times. Not at all the atmosphere one might expect to find in this type of store. Online offers a lot of choices so maybe they need to make some changes.
