Great place for tasty ice cream! Home made waffle cones. They have a wide variety of flavors. Staff was very nice an accommodating! Open late into the evening which was great!

This is my favorite desert shop in Pittsburgh hands down! The pineapple upside down cake Sunday is AMAZING! I order from here pretty often and they’ve consistently been one the best places in Pittsburgh for good deserts. I usually order through Uber eats and I love that they package everything so well. Great value, amazing taste, and great customer service. 10/10

The vegan key lime is beyonddddd amazing 😃 im not vegan but I try not to eat too much dairy, I like mixing it with pretzels and white chocolate chips! Happy I found this place

OMG, FRIO CREAMERY has made my life sooo much better, especially having severe dairy intolerance and IBS and not finding anything other then SO and Sorbet. I usually order via Uber Eats. Both pistachio & blueberry taste so good, not too sweet. The perfect portion amount. Cant get any better. Oh and lets not forget my kids. THEY LOVE THE LARGE VARIETY OF TOPPINGS!!

Oh. My. Sweet. Heavens. First off, I love Penn state creamery, but I was blown away by the quality of all ice creams there. They werent you plain vanilla or cookies and cream. Those were there - and they are spectacular (trust me) - but they had different flavors that werent so preposterous that intimidated the customer AND tasted amazing without going overboard.Blackberry cheesecake?!?!!? How do I order a bucket of that?!?!

The clerk didnt even greet me even though I waited for a while. So I left. A smile never hurt anybody.

Some of the best ice cream I’ve had. Light and fluffy while still creamy. My wife and I ordered pints of death by chocolate and Oregon blackberry cheesecake. Both were fantastic.

Looks very unassuming, but its some of the best ice cream in town! Be sure to get the waffle cones because they are really good. Theres not much space to eat inside, but there are a couple of benches outside if I remember right. Perfect for dessert after eating in one of the many restaurants on Butler!

We ordered through UberEats from here, and let me tell you: this is the BEST place to get shakes. I ordered the cheesecake and bananas fosters milkshakes, and they are absolutely amazing. This place is local, and will have the Milkshake Factory running for its money. Thank you, Frio crew!

Really friendly staff and an amazing selection of ice cream. Lots of custom milkshakes, and I cant get enough of the grilled stickies ice cream and the cannoli ice cream.

Fresh ice cream from the Berkey Creamery in Penn State/State College, PA. Easily the best ice cream I have eaten in my life, and I have eaten a lot of ice cream. They do have gluten free options, and the staff are knowledgeable on this topic. My husband and I both have celiac, and we have not been cross contaminated. 10/10, Five Stars, brilliant.

The ice cream is pretty good but you cant really stay and eat it because there arent really places to sit.

Please....if you are in the area eating dinner (or lunch)...SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT.Im so glad I did. Because this places ice cream is out-freakin-standing. The store was clean, and the service was very friendly. They have a nice selection of unique IC flavors, and sundae and shake combinations.I had the Fried Ice Cream Shake, and I cant say enough good things about it. The first sip reminded me of enjoying the honey-topped fried ice cream at Chi Chis back in the day.Do yourself a favor and get some ice cream here!
