The amount of care that this entire office put into my visit was phenomenal! I have never had an eye doctor care about my eyes or my husbands eyes ever! I will never see anyone else! Definitely went above and beyond!

Douglas Family Vision is the best in the business! Have been going here my entire life, and the staff has ALWAYS been friendly, courteous and helpful. Dr. Joe and the team are incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Trust them with my and my entire family’s eyes!!!

The gorgeous new building is what draws you to Douglas Family Vision but it is not what gets you to stay. The doctors and the amazing staff is what keeps people coming back for years and years.Dr. Karen and Dr. Joe know their stuff. They are knowledgeable and wont talk over your head about what is going on with your eyes. You can tell that they truly care about their patients.I moved down to the Detroit area about 4 years ago and I still come back to Saginaw to Douglas Family Vision to get my eyes checked. Their customer service, knowledge, attention to detail, and selection of glasses is unlike any other place around.Visit this place one time and you will see how much it shows. Highly recommend this place!

When I went in to pick out new frames, I was told that I couldnt be told the prices the frames would go for with my insurance unless I was paying today. When I explained that I was able to get pricing before she changed the story. I dont see a purpose in shopping around unless I know how much the total would cost with added fees for add-ons to lenses. Other than that experience, Dr. Douglas does a good job.

The Doctors and staff at Douglas Family Vision are all professional, knowledgeable and conscientious people working in a field they love. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff in a beautiful atmosphere. Doctors Karen and Joe Douglas are both compassionate and personable with decades of experience. I wouldnt trust my eyes to anyone else.

So after a 30 minute drive there, arriving on time they make you wait over a half an hour in 90+ degree weather. Then refuse you entry because your temperature is elevated, allow you to sit for 60seconds in a non Air Conditioned room before telling you to leave without even rechecking temperature. Say they need to reschedule but do not offer to reschedule you. Unprofessionalism at its finest COVID or not thats just poor treatment of someone in my situation. Especially since I was referred here by Dr. Thompson.By the way I had just left another doctors office perfectly fine temperature there as I only sat in the heat momentarily before they had me inside. Just to come to this place and be treated like a leper.Rate this place a -5/5

I was so impressed with my visit to the eye doctor. My first visit, they made me feel like family. The personal attention and focus on connecting was outstanding. This place is beautiful inside and out and the people are all so accommodating. I have already recommended this place to everyone I talked with today. I am so grateful that this location exists. Ive been a patient since they were still on Michigan! Will never go anywhere else. My mom is now a patient. We love the doctors and the staff. The new office on Shattuck is beautiful and amazing. They are more then 5 stars in my opinion! Recommended them to everyone!

My husband has been with this store for 15 years 3 years ago he was told by state of Michigan to stop payment of the frame because warranty was covered by state of Michigan! Douglass family vision had called authorizes so my husband had to pay up frontthe money and fought told them that they owe him his money back and today my HUSBAND talk to kandi the office manager and my HUSBAND need new glasses and what she told him discusses me she had told him he pay in cash or get out that his business is not welcome and even me his wife would have to pay cash up front for his glasses I seriously am to the point of calling human resources and have them clean house because the way my husband was talk to was on called for and and was not professional at all I will recommend everyone to not go here till human resources cleans house and has new management ! I Am very disappointed and disgusted by the way me and my HUSBAND has been treated here at Douglass family vision!

Douglas Family Vision deserves 10 stars. Not having a family eye doctor, I was unsure where to take my son when he needed to have his eye checked after an accident at school. Reading other reviews, we chose to visit here and thankful we did. Being a current patient didnt matter, they were able to work us right in without hesitation. Everyone from the office staff to the doctors were amazing, kind and most important empathetic to the situation. I highly recommend them to anyone that wants the best available care.

Awesome!! I could not ask for a better place. Dr. Joe is patient, kind, caring, and very thoughtful. His staff is the same way and quick to help. You feel very welcomed and it is such a comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Joe is a breath of fresh air for sure. He never rushes you or discounts what your going through. They are also fantastic with children and offer a fantastic selection of eye wear. I would highly recommend Douglas Family Vision!!!

Save your money and go to a place that appreciates your business. 15 years or more of patronage doesnt mean anything to this place. I have never been treated so unfairly in all my life by a business, I have never had an issue with this company until yesterday when I was told I had to pay cash because of an incident that happened three and a half years ago that was not even my fault, their incompetent staff did nothing to help resolve the issue because they would not warranty the frames that broke a month after I received them and charged me for a whole new frame which was under warranty. They also told me yesterday to go elsewhere, thats how much this place supports all those years of patronage. Save your money and go to a place that appreciates your business

Karen Douglas was so patient with my son. So loving and really listened to him. My son enjoyed his experience even though he needed glasses. I would recommend this practice to anyone you and old. My family will continue to go there from now on. They also have the happiest staff will genuine smiles!

Dr. Karen is amazing. Most people hate going to the dentist; I always hated going to the eye doctor (before now). I have one eye with perfect vision and the other is poor at best with an astigmatism. The staff here is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Karen helped me find the best solution for my eye while giving me a ton of information and tips that I have never before had. I am so glad I will no longer dread my eye doctor appointments!

Had an tiny object in my eye. I was seen that day and it was quickly removed. This is definitely my new eye doctor!

They made me wait for 40 minutes and said they cant fix my glasses because I didnt purchase those glasses with them, funny thing, I did check with them before day about the repair and I said i brought them outside, she said we will fix it.

My Husband and I have been going to Dr. Douglas office since we were kids. We introduced our oldest son to them last year and they were great with him. He was nervous as he didnt know what to expect. Omg this place is amazing. They were so helpful and welcoming. Im a first time glasses wearer and I didnt know anything about glasses. However after I left Douglas I was a glasses expert lol well maybe more advance. They gave me so much information and detail on what to expect. All the staff I met took their time with me to make sure I completely understood. Then there glasses showroom was to die for. Im a girlie girl and I was in glasses heaven. I never knew the world could be so bright and beautiful but thanks to Douglas and my new glasses Im seeing everything clearly.

Double check your insurance covers anything to do with DFV first so you are not stuck with a bill a year and a half later, like myself :) . Their incompetent staff will not help you and it is “your problem.”
