The produce was beautiful. I found pineapples two for one that was spectacularly ripe and flavorful. Fresh lettuces, and while I walked out with about five times more groceries than I had expected to walk out with, it was because the store looked great and the products looked even better. I also appreciated the individual who helped me check out because I had never activated my app on my phone, which I thought I had done long before.Still, she helped walk me through it, we got it done, and I could save money, and I appreciate that extra effort! I have also to say that I buy a pie every week, maybe two pies every week. That might be a tad overboard for a household of two. Still, I find the bakery pies made by Winn-Dixie selling for 3.99 or 4.99, 8-inches diameter have such a nice crust and not sweetened Or thickened unnaturally.I find the fruit to be fresh and worth going out of my way to purchase. One last thing I want to do - thank the extraordinary ladies behind the deli counter. They never give up.I needed a sandwich sliced deli fresh chicken breast. It’s not an item sold often, but it is in the deli case. When I did not see it in the case, I asked for it. Even though the individual I was working with was not familiar with the product, she went and found someone familiar with the product. She did a great job of taking care of me and even found a new variety of deli chicken that I wasn’t aware of; it is delicious. It’s also three dollars less a pound than some of the other premium varieties, so I appreciate that as well. Well done, Winn-Dixie!

Clean, organized, good prices and deals. Easy in and out of the parking lot. As far as local retailers go, on average, the prices seem to run slightly higher than Walmart (although some deals are better) and overall less than Publix. Staff was exceptionally nice. Youll need to sign up for a member card to get the weekly deals.

Just like any other store, there are good days and bad days. Today -Friday, Nov. 22 - was an exceptionally good day. The lady in the seafood department, January, went over and beyond in helping me with picking out just the right shrimp for my gumbo. Mya, another employee, noticed that I was looking for something and stopped what she was doing to come over and help me. Both if these ladies should be commended. Grocery shopping is a chore at best, but they made my experience today so much better.

I walked up to the register to check out and the cashier asked to wait while he stepped away to get something. He had his back to me, I didnt notice that his face mask was on incorrectly. He had the top of the mask under his lips and the rest if the mask around his chin. I would have moved, except he had already started ringing my items. I only had a few items. I was swapping my card when I notice the cashier licking his fingers to assist in opening the bag. Thankfully, I had on gloves and my items was in plastic bags. I was so shocked, that I didnt know what to do. I didnt want to question him in front of a store of customers. But I was very offended by this action. I love this Winn Dixie. Everyone here is always so nice. The store is also kept clean, and the shelves stocked. Everything is also right where you think it should be, which can be one of my least favorite things about a grocery store, but they do it right. The only thing I don’t like about this store is they always need another line open.

This Winn Dixie is one of my favorite grocery stores to shop in. There are some shelf items they do not carry but, I think their selection of produce & meat are on point. The folks that work in the deli are friendly and they make me feel like they care about my satisfaction with the food they serve.

Ive shopped this store for years, so I thought it high time I shared my experience with you.First, the staff, from the managers to the cashiers to the butchers to the stockers, are polite, patient, knowledgeable and kind. I think there must be some requirement to work there. EVERY one has a smile, and a thank you, and if Ive used a card or written a check, they say, Thank you Mrs. Branson. Personable and courteous.Their sushi bar features FRESH sushi every day, and their deli has the most delicious Southern cuisine for lunch and supper. Produce is rotated and always fresh and beautiful. There is a huge variety, and seldom have I EVER not found what I was looking for.Even the parking lot is laid out to be convenient, but is kept immaculate (as is the store itself). When I leave the store, I feel like Ive visited my neighbor.

I love winn Dixie because of the buy one get one or 3 for 10. Most things you win with them because of the things mentioned before and this only is on food. Buy NO TOILETRIES NONE WHAT SO EVER, THEY ARE PRICED RIDICULOUSLY. And this even with a sale. But food you could take up. You cant get 4 New York strip steaks with not much fat for 11 or 12 bucks anywhere but winn dixie. The steaks the shrimp, and the salmon are their best priced meat. Their strawberries and blackberries are always buy one get one or 3 for 10 and we stock up on them.

Good place to shop and great deli food

I personally like shopping here. There is a Publix around the corner and I still go here as my first choice. The store was updated a year or so ago, so its nice and has a pretty decent selection. The staff is varied. Sometimes you get someone super nice and other times they seem really unhappy.

Produce section was well-stocked, very clean and organized. Not many customers in the store, so check out was very quick. Lots of parking and clean parking lot.

As with all grocery stores, have a list and at least, look at the BOGOs. Take the time to sign up for the BOGOs if you need to. It only takes your phone number at the register to save money once you are in the system. Found some excellent bakery items that were buy1get1 also.

Ok, so I’m a Publix and Wal-Mart grocery shopper, due to the proximity to my house. It’s been a couple of months since I shopped here, but I rushed in looking for a quick dinner idea- only to find a “home”-cooked meal of baked chicken, meatloaf, Pinto beans, greens, and sweet cornbread waiting for me. The employee who helped me guaranteed that I would like it and I took it home to my wife. She’s picky,but said that this was a terrific meal and that “someone there knows how to season food!”

A year ago I would’ve given this store 5 stars but the service has tanked. Good employees have been replaced with employees who have no idea where or what the price of anything is, will tell you to ask someone else or just straight up lie to you about where stuff is. Not sure what happened with management but I’m recommending the publix around the corner from now on.

They (employees) never help you especially when elderly people like my mom(who is 89) shop there. For instance, the manager was gathering up carts outside and my mother was putting her stuff in her car. Not one time did he offer or even say anything to her. She shops there all the time. I was with her but I was putting my stuff away. That is terrible customer service. I have worked in retail all my life. I know how you should act to your customers.They are always out of things also! Not a happy shopper.

Its a really clean grocery store. My only issue was that I went to the fresh baked bread section and discovered that some of the bread was moldy. They should really check on that regularly.

Im very disappointed in the way the deli manager treats customers. I shop at the deli about 3 times a week and always try to avoid having her wait n me because her attitude speaks that I am a bother and an interaction to wait on. Today I was the first person in line, waiting during my time limited lunch break. The deli manager was stocking pies at front of the store. She did acknowledge me but continued to stock pies. I really needed her to serve me so I could be on my way. A line was beginning to form behind me and I just left. There are plenty of other grocery stores in this area to buy lunch from where I am not treated as an inconvenience.

Great prices and selection but needs more organic. the employees/customer service used to be great but they got bought out and when that happened they fired all the good people and hired all new employees who are horrible, rude, curse in front of my children and I, are unknowledgeable, and not friendly. Stopped shopping here for this reason

Winn-Dixie is definitely less expensive than Piggly Wiggly and Publix. This location was out of several items I specifically went in for.The deli/bakery at this location is also smaller than the one I always go to, which is on Montevallo Road in East Birmingham.
