This place reminds me of a used car lot. They will do what everything half way or minimally done and very expensive.There mechanical service in my opinion is poor and done carelessly. The marina charged to put in batteries and be ready and not it was a lie. Very upsetting to find out they took the boat registration stickers without my knowledge. Boat was supposed to be ready for water. It was not!!!! No bueno place... basura! The pic is spark plugs after being serviced by five star marina service.

If it was possible to leave 0 or negative stars I would have. It’s very disappointing to deal with a marina that is deceiving and flat out criminal. I paid for service that was never done. They lied about summarizing and winterizing my boat. I paid for service they did not do. I am disgusted by the lack of honesty and transparency. Stay away!!!

Wanted to write a quick review on these guys. Bought a new boat (from an out of state marina) and the motor had an issue after 6 hours. It was crushing. Looked like 4 weeks to get it fixed due to backups and backlogs at other marinas. Got a hold of Patrick at Five Star through the Volvo network. He recognized my issue and worked hard to overnight the part and since the repair was a quick one, he spent some extra time to fit it in. As a boat owner with kids, I can’t tell you how important it was to get this back online. Patrick helped without hesitation. I would highly recommend Five Star to anyone and I will be servicing my boat there going forward.

Have been working with Pat and his team for many years. They continue to stand by the products they sell me with excellent maintenance and warranty service. Even when they are super busy they try to squeeze me into the schedule and keep our boat on the water. Pat, Joaquin and Eric frequently work extra hours to take care of our ShoreMaster pier too. They are dedicated to customer satisfaction.

Ive been boating on the Chain for 34 years and Ive dealt with a lot of repair and storage facilities in that time. I have never received better service anywhere. Patrick and his crew go out of their way to keep my 19 year old Larsen running at its best all summer. I brought it in last Friday because it suddenly slowed down & couldnt get up on plane. He looked at it on a busy Saturday morning to see if it was an easy fix and I could have it back for the weekend. It wasnt easy and I was afraid I would miss another weekend (there arent too many) but he got it fixed and Im back on the lake today. Great guys, great service!

This is a dealer that really believes in the customer experience and is someone you can trust for all of your boating needs. A piece of advice to any prospective boaters is to put a deposit on the boat youre interested in and test drive to ensure there are no issues if youre looking to purchase a boat out of season. I made the difficult decision to sell my boat. Working 6 days a week I knew I wouldn’t have time to sell by owner, so we reached out to 5 star to broker the boat.I have always been particular about taking care of my boat and where I leave the boat. I purchased a small 17 boat on consignment from 5 star. It was an older boat in good condition. Patrick and his staff accommodated all of my requests, answered all of my questions and followed through on all of their promises. This was all accomplished during their busy season at the beginning of spring. My purchase was of an older small boat and I was treated as if I was purchasing a new boat. Considering the age and price of the boat, I can only assume there was not much profit in the transaction for them however the professionalism remained. I appreciate the customer service and professionalism of Patrick and his staff. Thank you and I highly recommend them!

Recently purchased a pontoon boat from Patrick and his team. I was very impressed with their service from Day 1. I texted him about the boat at 9pm on a Saturday night and he responded instantly with an invite to come down Sunday and check it out. When we arrived he had everything prepared for us to view the boat and walked us through the features. He answered follow up questions about the boat for the next few days before we decided to make the purchase. We scheduled a time to come for a final test drive and complete paperwork. They had everything prepared to ensure we were in and out in a hour. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend Five Star for any sales or service needs.

Best place to buy a used or new boat. I searched the internet and found what I wanted locally at the price of what it was worth. If your reading this review and you see one or two stars I implore you to ignore that. After 20 plus years in the automotive service industry on the receiving end of customer complaints I knew how I wanted to be treated. Five Star without a doubt earned my business and went completely above and beyond my expectations and continues to practice that principle. On the outside looking in you see a well kept facility, a marina that is the nicest in the area. I watched landscapers spend an entire day making sure every tree is trimmed down to the roots. All the piers are perfectly symmetrical. The people from the employees down to the owner treat you like you want to be treated. They are in the business to sell you everything from a boat plug to a cabin cruiser, a shore station to a docking rope. Thats what they do. They treat you like a VALUED customer! All it takes is one bad review from any given whack job with a negative attitude to wreck a business. You wont get that from me and I would venture to guess you wont get that from any other of Five Stars clients. Whatever youre looking for go no further than right here.

Five Star Boat Center is exactly that, Five Star customer service! I have purchased a boat and had all service and winterizing done by this company. Patrick (the owner of the company) is very good at his job and makes sure you are happy at all times. His crew does a great job fixing whatever you need and they stand behind their work.I highly recommend this company!

These are good and honest people to deal with. I feel I get a good VALUE every time I go there. There are cheaper mechanics on the chain but I can assure you they are not as good of a value. Really like the fact that Patrick and his team do stuff the right way and not just the cheapest way to turn a quick buck.

Highly recommend. Far and away the nicest marina on the chain. Nice slips, and beautifully landscaped grounds -- a place you can be proud to bring family and friends. The owner and staff are extremely attentive and helpful, even when I know Ive been a bit of a pain in the @$$. Wouldnt keep my boat anywhere else.

Probably the best docks on all the lakes with great people. For the price, you get everything you you need to have an enjoyable time. If your boat needs fixing, Patrick is responsive and does a good job.

Best to avoid them. All the positive reviews are people that never had a problem. All over the internet are reviews about them making a mistake and putting the problem on the customer. My horror with them is they made a canvas wrong, said too bad, blamed it on me, and along with other mistakes they refuse to make me whole on, they are forcing me to take them to court. Find yourself a dealer that does what you pay him for, not one who makes you pay for his screw ups.

Search no further! I have been shopping for a new boat for almost two years. I found the best Marina with the best boats, Larson boats. They had a good selection of boats and most of the boats were indoors and out of the elements. The staff was very helpful in helping me choose the right boat for me and my family. The next day the boat was prepped in the water for me to use. The next weekend we were out on the lake doing some water skiing, and I hit something in the water and broke my propeller. I called the marina and within an hour they had me towed back to the marina and new prop on it and I was back on the water!!! they saved my 4th of July weekend!!! I rented a slip with a great lake view. Facilities are great; nice bathrooms. Well lit at night and secure. Just what Ive been looking for. THANKYOU FIVE STAR BOAT CENTER.

The Demanding Customer - I used to keep my boat there but left after the owner Patrick Short said I was unreasonable. Lets see - Boat robbed three times - the security covered most of the marina - just not where my boat is (my bad.. too demanding). After the floods we spent an entire season with no running water and missing boards on pier. A year later - still no water(I guess I demand too much for basic service). Then I had body work on boat for a 2.x 2 area, paid 500.00. Boat comes back with one scratch not fixed .. a big one and it was fresh. Owner told me they could not fix that one (right... huh?) Then changed marinas - I drove my boat away, it almost sank. The hot water line was disconnected. Owner told me not his fault.. GEEZ.. I had 2500 of work done and it appeared the disconnected the hose and forgot to reattach. My bad - it was clearly divine intervention NOT his fault. I really have to learn not to be a DEMANDING customer. You make the choice....

The owner and his staff are always there when you need them. It is a great place to to keep your boat at. A boat is your second largest investment you want to keep it at a place you could trust.

A remarkable facility and one to offer a good review tonight on Saint Patricks Day of 2017. Ive had the opportunity to scout the area and noticed that here at Five Star Boat Center on Kings Road they have more that a wide selection of marine vessels, qualified service technicians, boat storage, and accessories for safety and navigation; Five Star has a lighthouse on the grounds. And this is a photographers ideal set. In fact I believe there is something magical with this lighthouse and have even captured it ~ the calculation with my Panasonic cam. With the aperture set on Visin the shot turned out cherry so to speak. Imagine a rich true image of the features of a face. The eyes and a smile juxtaposed over a symbol appearing as the number 4. The expression of a monk in Jade and Emerald like seaweed or kale risen up and upon that four appearing as a driftwood chair of cross. Certainly a seat suited for a merman or mermaid right. And with the sun casting web-like shadows upon the snow floor that plastic wrapped or water like image seemed to have an oil like balm or gleam to it as if it were alive and present. Holy Mackerel I thought and as the echo of my voiced returned to my ear I realized that the expression Mackerel is exactly what that face read! That mesh like pattern of rope linen is an ancient one and today the engineers of (fx) Kretzschmar transferred the data of it into the photo kiosk at Walgreens where Angela printed it upon the firmament. Defiantly stop on in to Five Star Boat Center where I can testify that Almeta reflections do exist.
