I came in the store for a Martin acoustic. Branden (hope it’s spelled right) greeted me and showed me around immediately. Super knowledgeable and truly helpful. I opted for the Alvarez AG610. He gladly adjusted the truss and even offered to put the Elixirs on for me. Price was right, Brandon was awesome, and most importantly, I LOVE this guitar. I will come to this store exclusively from this point on. Thank you Brandon! See you soon.
Kaleb was such an amazing help to me and very informative about the items I was looking to purchase. Customer service at its absolute best!!!! Thank you guitar center for having such a great individual representing you brand is such an amazing way.
I had the best guitar buying experience in my 35 years of playing at this location. I worked with Chris and it couldnt have gone better. With zero pressure he helped me find and acquire my dream guitar.... better than I even hoped was out there. Many thanks! I will surely be back.
This Guitar Center has some of the absolute best customer service of any business I’ve ever been to. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and welcoming. We have purchased a variety of different products as well as used their repair services over the last several years and we have always been taken care of really well. Highly recommend this place!!
Knowledgeable and very friendly staff.Knew about their products, and were very welcoming. Also everything was neat and easy to find in the store. Wish I lived in ATL because Id be at this Guitar center often.
These guys are super cool. I would definitely rent from them again.
I bought a guitar from this guys and they said it was a next day delivery I did this cause I was too busy to drive to the store I have 3 miles from me, where it said the guitar was in stock, then the shipping said it will take 8 full days to get my guitar, I am paying lessons that Im not taking right now cause the guitar is taking more than a week to arrive! when I went to the customer service chat they said there was nothing to be done because the guitar wasnt even in stock in the store when clearly the page said it was! unbelievable
Very helpful staff. They answered all my questions and never made me feel like I was bothering them. They even helped me figure out exactly what I need even though it was less than the original product we thought I might need. Thank you guys.
One of the nicer Guitar Centers Ive been to, and its larger than the two in my area. Friendly staff, nice selection of instruments.
Let’s be honest, they have equipment in stock locally. Except when they don’t. The prices are the same they are at any other large retailer. 80% of the employees think they know everything. 5% of the employees actually know what they’re taking about. And none of the “guitar techs” should be allowed anywhere near a guitar.
Dylan provided excellent customer service. Thank you.
I was looking for a particular snare drum to see if it was in stock. Brandon went on a wild goose chase for me to see if it was available in a different location. The model I wanted was completely out but he did everything that he could to find the product for me. Great customer service!
Went to Ken Stanton, we got yelled at for not putting a drum head back in the right place, I wont be going back there, should have went to Guitar Center in the first place, we always get good service there
This place Always brings joy to my heart
Went to check out a Martin acoustic they had in stock. Odd looking building, but its very open and spacious on the inside with lots of inventory to browse. I went straight to the acoustic section which was divided off and climate controlled. They had a nice selection of acoustic guitars and plenty of room to sit down and play one for a few minutes, even with 3 other customers in the same room keeping social distancing in mind. They had the inventory the website said they had, so I was able to check out the guitar I have in mind for a future purchase.I was never greeted by an employee, but I was in and out the door, never really giving them a chance unless they followed me into the acoustic section, which they did not. For the record I wasnt looking to speak with anyone. I knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in, and required no assistance.Overall great experience as short as it was. Ill be back.Edit: came back to get the Martin acoustic I looked at. When I got to the acoustic section I found that they had sold the model I was looking to buy. One salesman told me I was pretty much out of luck. But another salesman came in and told me to wait. He went upstairs and checked inventory and came back with the guitar I wanted, only this one had not been in the showroom floor and mauled by hordes of people. This one was in pristine condition. I happily made my purchase and was out the door in no time. Ill be back. 👍👍👍
The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, often going above and beyond. My husband plays lefty, which is hard to find, but weve found used guitar at very reasonable prices.
Great Staff, and amazing musical instruments in stock. Also many accessories to chose from at good prices
I heard the company might be dealing with a posable Bankruptcy. So I was a bit shocked when I walked in and it looked as if it was nearing the end. The store was not stocked with much of anything. I went to the DJ section and you could really tell things had taken a turn for the worst. However, the guy that helped me was nice enough I guess. He was able to answer my questions and seemed to have an idea.Man its going to hurt if we lose these stores. Im sorry but online can beat in store when it comes to music equipment. You got to touch it, play it. Feel it.Anyway as for this store. I give it a 3. Because it made me feel like the end was near.
Beware.Sales associates may add an insurance/protection plan for $4.99 without informing you.I bought a $20 tuner and a few strings and the sales associate tacked on a $4.99 insurance plan to my bill. I caught it after the transaction was over only by reading my receipt. She claimed it was a mistake. I do not believe so as in my experience, POS systems will have you deliberately agree to an insurance or protection plan.I had to wait an extra 10 minutes after checking out for her to put the money back on a gift card. This was a very bad and uncomfortable customer experience.I understand the organization is suffering financially however this is not the type of behavior you conduct in an attempt to stay afloat.I would highly encourage anyone who has recently purchased product from this store to check your receipts for possible fraudulent insurance charges.
My experience of Guitar Centre was always pleasant & encouraging to go back there, especially the Druid Hills & Alpharetta stores... But today this store killed it all. They had the specific model of Electric Bass, I had in mind though it looked used with finger nail marks on the body & loose volume control knob on a $900 bass (Wonder why do they keep this on rack with the price of a New one) .Still I decided to buy it because I drove 27 miles to this store with the specific requirement of buying it. but just before swiping the card, I had to walk out of the store without buying it.Extremely disrespectful people ( I am talking specifically about the person who did the favor of attending me & the Manager who barged in pretending helping. Nothingto do with rest of the staff. )
Super helpful crew in the store.
Pretty much has everything you need guitar-wise. Although, with COVID still active and about, the selections have been more scarce. The customer service has been generally nice for each of my visits; although, its occasionally been a bit difficult trying to actually get service.
Great instruments, great service.
My favorite GC. Guys are friendly and inventory is pretty good. Not many Ibanez guitars... mostly Gibson, Fender, Gresch.. some decent 2nd hand stuff
Found just what I needed, priced a little high but I get it
Great customer service. no issues at all
Not my go to location but its still guitar center. They where pretty helpful
Awesome place to visit.
Will is a great teacher at Guitar Center!! Id recommend him to anyone wanting to learn more about music and have a great time while doing it!
Very helpful clerks that helped me select the right tuner. Will go to again.
I did curbside service. The messages I received via Email and text were confusing. I wasnt sure if they had my entire order ready. I had an order number and a text saying it was almost ready. So I called just to triple check and the young man on the phone said it (Chris) was ready. I drove the 16 miles and called when got there. They came out with 2 of my 7 items. They said the rest will be here in a day or 2. Pretty disappointed that they didnt even acknowledge the error. I am understanding about these times. But it may be a good idea to instruct your employees to look at the receipt and compare items to the receipt when being called about a complete order. Thank you.
Amazing Service! I had to go alone just to test out the guitar and as I entered i was attended. I went to look for a guitar and then there was this kind women who held the guitar for me as I went to get my mother. After there was this other very kind young man who helped and pretty much was very kind and funny! Pretty much everyone there was amazing! May Hod Bless everyone there:) Sadly I don’t know there names:(
Low stock lately - half-empty guitar wall, fully empty rooms in the acoustic wing. The bathrooms are disgusting as well, urine all over the floor and no paper towels. Save yourself time and hit the one on Northeast Expressway.
Nice selection of Bass guitars and a very helpful staff.
The right equipment for the best price. Turned the purchase of one pack of mic covers into two ✌🏽✌🏽. I love a good deal
Awful customer service, been here three time for the same product and they didn’t have which I understand but then I called and the sales associate told me they have it in stock so I drove 30 minutes got there and they didn’t have any again, then they offered me a better one and after waiting for like 30+ minutes he comes back with a display full of dust… not coming back to this location.
Visited Guitar center Cobb Pkwy yesterday. Was not greeted in the drum room. The guy working drums just looked at me. I didnt get the feeling my business was appreciated, so decided to leave..
Nothing was tuned however they have an amazing selection and were very helpful.
Brandon took the time to help us as true beginners learn what we needed to know to make an informed purchase decision. He played several instruments and highlighted pros and cons of various manufacturers and body styles. He was patient and answered our questions each of which hes probably heard many many times. We didnt feel pressured and the whole experience was fun as buying a guitar should be!
The staff was great, and very helpful. All my questions were asked and got to Crack a few jokes with them while making my purchase.
Informative friendly staff. Helping make a better choice.
Sorry they are closing. Great service. My son was able to touch some drums!
Brandon Guthrie was awesome. He educated me on things I never knew. I will return to this location every time even though I live closer to another one. Thanks Brandon
Love this place. Great staff, products, and deals! Visited pro audio this trip. Noticed that guitar selection was waaay low! Very little on that wall!
Had everything we needed and staff very attentive and friendly
I just got my guitar’s strings changed (one acoustic & one electric) by Brandon in repair services. Brandon was an absolute delight, he was very knowledgeable and gave the best customer service. Now my guitars look and sound fabulous. I can’t thank you guys enough!
Definitely looking forward to coming back. Great selection of guitars and bass guitars! Id highly recommend them!
Great Staff And Great Prices Always My Music Equipment Go To 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
This was the first real guitar store I ever experienced. I remember spending entire Sundays with my friends here when I was 13. We were all terrible but it was amazing. Any chance I was given to go here, I always took it. Recently my sister took me here an surprise bought me a new guitar. Its a Schecter omen extreme and it came already intonated and plays beautifully without any tweaking necessary. Pretty sure all Schecters are like that but still really awesome.
Mask station set up at door, check! Not a lot of people when I went, so that was a plus. Always excellent service!
GC is my wallyworld.. I can sit in there for hours whether Im looking at Keyboards Dj equipment or my new pick up with the bass Guitar.. never Disappointed
Since the pandemic most music stores have only the stuff no one wants.
I guess to be fair their inventory is low just like most retail businesses in the country right now so Im going to give him a break and hopefully they get back on their feet
Still waiting on a shipment. Over promised under delivered.
Great music store
Was shocked but the great staff and service! Found everything I needed and it was incredibly clean!
Very friendly staff and awesome selection.
Helpful staff and unbeatable prices!
Everyone here is super friendly. Awesome selection of guitars, drums, music equipment you name it
Went in to purchase an acoustic guitar case, that I saw on your website for $24.99. Website CLEARLY states in stock. I get there and am told only available online, for shipping. Im sick and tired of sales, or otherwise reduced priced items, only being available online. I still believe in brick and mortar stores, even with COVID. I bet if I bought a $1000 guitar, the case I wanted wouldve been in stock.
Got the right musical equipment.
They carry great gear no doubt, but don’t confuse the greatness of that gear’s brand with their brand. This place wouldn’t know customer service if it was right in front of their face. Unless you are keen on infuriating customer experiences for some odd reason, you should probably just shop elsewhere. Anymore these days, the only pro to a tangible retail store is the experience and this one is bad. Every. Single. Time.
Excellent service here. Even on black friday. Well done management!! 👏👏👏
Great customer service
The experience was horrible. The sales associates laughed and chartered while others were clearly in need of assistance. The shelves were nearly empty. I bought an AKAI midi controller that was supposed to be new. After opening the box I could tell that it had previously been opened. There were scratches on the screens display and a few keys have a tendency to wiggle. COVID could be a reason for some of the issues already mentioned, however this place hasnt been kn the best shape for years. Also be mindful of this stores location. Not a safe place to be after dark, and the surrounding stores will NOT let you use their restrooms, even if you are a paying customer. This was a horrible experience. Some alternatives would be Sweetwater and Dirt Cheep music. I would side with Sweetwater, as Dirt Cheep is also garbage.
Guys just trying to up sell everything better to shop online
Understandably, Guitar Center has social distancing rules in effect which includes a limited amount of customers in the store at a given time which is more than fair. As I am sitting out in the hot humid Georgia summer weather, I have seen probably 6 or 7 customers leave the store with no employee giving me the green light to enter the store. The line is growing larger and people are visibly frustrated with the work flow. Seems like someone is dropping the ball here
I bought my first guitar from.them and had a few questions. they were very helpful working things out and helping me resolve my issues. They had a great selection of GUITARS and a Knowledgeable staff. I believe they have pointed me in the right direction for everything I needed to get started. I look.forward to many years of playing.
Super helpful staff. Helped me find a tricky adapter that I needed.
Very attentive and knowledgeable employees
Went poking around during not so busy times - fine experience. Rock on GC Rock on.
I almost never do reviews, but this place is terrible with guitar setups and guitar service. I dropped my telecaster and my Taylor off to get a setup on Monday, haven’t had them both setup in awhile so figured I would have a guy who does it everyday do it for me. Every time I call this whole week so far, they give me a different excuse of why their guitar luthier is not in while contradicting themselves. One time I call he is sick, then another time his car has trouble, the next time it’s his day off. Then when I try to get some answers it’s deflected with “ you can just come pick up your guitars” by the rep on the phone. All I want is my guitars setup and taken care of so I can go back to playing. Horrible communication, horrible service, very unreliable . What happened to the employees who get it??
I bought a new Taylor guitar and I saved 1,500.00$! It was great!!!
Ah the wonderful impersonal corporate touch of Guitar Center.. rented a PA system with recommended coverage and returned it the following day when our show was rained out by flash flood weather. After returning the gear in the condition it was given to us and asking for a credit, so that we could rent the gear for the rescheduled date, we were told we had only rented it for that day.A simple kindness would have been to offer a credit at least on the cost of the speakers or the coverage plan, but instead of serving the musicians in their community we got the businessman shrug. This is another reminder that Guitar Center isnt their for you or your art and you should be careful not to forget that.
Very helpful, only thing is the line outside could move a little faster. My idea is have 2 lines one line for people who know what they want and one line for people who may need to look around
My son gets guitar lessons there with Ismael as instructor. He is so reliable. Always present and on time. I have 2 other nephews taking lessons as well with another teacher, and as great as he is, theres a bit of a reliability problem so Ismael always make room to see the others. The place is fun of course if you are a music lover as our family is so well see.
Always a really good experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff always helpful.
Poor social distancing. There were small children running around the store playing recorders. No masks, just spitting on everything. Gross.
Helpful staff, huge selection.
Huge selection, excellent service! Couldnt have been a better visit! Thanks!
Always quick, helpful, and fair. Ive gone here for more than a decade, bought and sold plenty of gear, never had any hassle. Writing today because Cliff helped get me a fair price for a guitar I needed to sell. Theyre upfront and clear. Will keep returning as long as its there.
Everytime I go here they are always cool as hell. They always help me out and seem to really enjoy talking music. Most other places care only to make a sale lately it seems. I recommend Guitar Center of Marietta.
Walked in the door prepared to buy an electronic drum set. I spent 15 minutes in the back drum room that was filled with kids banging away. No salespeople ever came by. The electronic kits that were displayed were in various states of setup and readiness for testing. Frustrated I finally left, passing 3-4 employees who were hanging out by the front door chatting. The store wasnt busy and my presence in the store was never acknowledged. This location needs a serious lesson in professionalism.
If you need any work done on your electric guitar, Guitar Center Marietta is amazing! Would give more stars if i could!
This guitar center was great! They had a lot in stock, but what made this place great was the workers. So accommodating, quick, very knowledgable. I was looking to purchase their used equipment, went to check out the product to make sure that is what I wanted and the workers provided a lot of information on how that looks purchasing, the return and even recommended a few things when purchasing used.Thank you guys so much for the help!
Great staff, great selection of gear for nearly any musical needs. Woulda given 5 stars, but being a lefty guitarist, they woefully lack items which suit my needs. As a suggestion guys, add a handful more guitars/basses in lefty format. AND, in more colors than the go to black or white. Make a better effort to accommodate lefties and your company could literally corner that market.
Best guitar center Ive been to in a long time! I dropped by here recently and they were super helpful. Not too long before that I was late to a gig and needed a last second set of strings and was on a big time crunch and was in and out in less than a couple minutes during peak hours! Well done!
Found some nice guitars, I have some dreaming and paying off debt and saving up money to do!
Friendly help, nice to shop in person.
One of the best guitar store experiences ive ever had amazing people!
Rude rude and more rude. We were waiting to go inside because of limits. And we saw this guy hop out of a trailer truck asked why we were waiting. And say said why and he just cut the line and walked inside. We asked why didn’t anybody stop him they yelled at us and said go outside.
