I looked online to find an updated 2020 model H&K VP9 9 mm handgun with the optics-ready slide, silencer-ready barrel and 17 round magazines, and I found two available in-store at GritrSports. I went with a friend, who wanted the same gun, to purchase it. My friend performed his background check first and bought the gun, then I went through the same process. Like a bad customer, I did not thoroughly inspect my purchase or receipt, assuming that my package was the same as my friends. Excited, I was at home giving the gun a once over and was about to load bullets (for home defense at the ready), when I realized that the magazines that came with it only had a 10 round capacity. My friend told me that his came with the higher capacity mags. Disappointed, I called the store and explained the situation. I didnt realize, likely due to the fact that Im a relatively new gun owner, that I could not do any exchanges due to the laws. Fortunately, Tyson, one of the employees that helped me during the buying process, made sure I was taken care of! He helped me exchange the magazines without a hitch and without extra expense.I also want to thank the other employees that helped my friend and I for their great customer service. I apologize for my error as a customer. Yall are awesome, and Ill be sure to recommend the company, as well as come back for my firearm needs!

Came here to buy a handgun on October 24th. Never heard of this place or even seen it and i lived close to it and drove around it for years! Was looking to get the g43x but it was sadly bought 10 min before i walked in, they did happily help me with choosing another gun which is the perfect fit for me. They also got me in and out of there in about 30 min. with no hassle, i was even given a 5% discount once they realized it was my birthday and help save me money where they could. Probably my new favorite gun shop and will continue to come back! Super clean, everyone us super friendly and helpful, also amazing prices!

Go elsewhere for your online order! Terrible customer service. Gritr sent the wrong order. Sku numbers wrong. Completely their mistake. Not even an apology for the inconvenience, paying and waiting on shipping. I needed product this weekend but who cares they couldnt ship the correctly ordered product. Almost impossible to get someone to answer the phone even. When I did get them to finally answer, was told they would send a return slip, I would ship back then wait again for the correct product. No thanks! They get 1 star because I have to!

Ive never left a google review before but I feel like I have to give the way I was treated by the Gritr sports team. They are impossible to reach with their customer service team leaving the office multiple hours early combined with a simple lack of caring. I attempted to make a sale through them online, in which they took multiple days to get in contact, then when I expressed interest in expedited shipping (as they advertise) and subsequently paid for it, they decided to ship my item via ground. This in effect, nullified the entire point of over 5 phone calls and numerous email exchanges. Upon me calling their customer service team to inquire, I was simply met with well I did my job so and numerous deflections and excuses. End to end an unpleasant experience and I cannot recommend them to anyone. I hope the in person experience is better.Update 10/15. Owner below has said they cannot ship via expedited shipping. This is very interesting because they advertise such capability online via gunbroker. Moreover their customer service team was more than happy to offer it to me, going as far as to charge my credit card with multiple assurances that it would be done after explicitly taking it for that purpose.

Was going to purchase two guns today. Was denied for an invalid application that they gave me to fill out. The application was filled completely. The application they gave me asked for my nationality, Hispanic; then it had a follow up question “race” it listed: black American, Asian, pacific, Native American and white. So I didn’t check any of them. I’m Mexican. I listed “other” and put Mexican next to it. & for that reason I was denied. Thank you, but I’ll be glad to take my business somewhere else.

Went there to have a firearm shipped to another ffl and out of the many employees that were there not a single one knew how to have it shipped. I will say the gentleman that tried to assist me was very nice and apologetic and I appreciate that so instead of a 1 star I’ll put 2 but I find it hard to understand and believe that in a gun store where they probably make dozens of these transactions a day no one knew how to help me. Waisted my lunch break to try and get this done to no avail.

Edgar was very knowledgeable in explaining the differences between the different styles and a little background of each brand. He also broke down how to disassemble the handguns and let me practice a couple times myself so I could see what he was referring too. He also was careful to point out how sliding it back can pinch the skin. He was very friendly and had an upbeat attitude. Very knowledgeable staff! They helped walk me through my very first ar purchase.When I got home it turned out they had given me the wrong ar. I had bought one with sights, and they gave me a sightless base model of a higher end rifle.One phone call and a 20 minute drive back to the store, and they offered to fix the problem by swapping out my rifles, or letting me keep the more expensive one for the price I paid for the original.Everyone can act their best when things are going good. I like to judge by how they handle mistakes and problems. Id definitely do business here again

I had recently purchased a Kimber Custom II 1911 .45 and just wanted to put some rounds through it to break it in. Also, I was introduced to G9 ammunition by one of the staff here. He explained the rounds and even pulled up info/video online, I felt very confident in my purchase of this ammo after his help. My husband and I went to GRITR Outdoors today and used their gun range for the first time. The facility is extremely clean and well kept. The staff is so helpful, kind, and diverse. They were all extremely knowledgeable and the prices are reasonable. We will be going back for sure! The range manager and his staff were awesome!

Great team running this place. Nice to see that the range is open. Range Safety Officers are friendly and welcoming and the store overall had great brands and selection. The range pricing is really competitive in the area and they have a nice selection of rental guns available as well.

Kimber pistols, Magpul mags, Browning shotguns, Leupold scopes, Nikon rangefinders, Bushnell binos, Galco holsters and all other kinds of toys for firearm enthusiasts, hunters and outdoorsmen. Its like a candy store for grownups.

Came to browse and buy scope rings that their website said they had in stock. Their warehouse is not connected to their retail store so I had to order the rings on my phone and ship them to my house...and pay shipping which is 7 miles down the road from their retail store. Seemed strange that I could not pick the item up from the retail store or the retail store could not help me with the transaction, but the rings were hard to find anywhere so I did not argue about it and stood awkwardly in the middle of the store buying something from their website.I tried to buy a silencer. I did not have time to do the ~1 hour paperwork process the day I came in so I made arrangements to come back another day.On the day we arranged for me to come in, I called ahead to make sure it still okay for me to come in and do the paperwork. I was told that it was a good time. I got the store and I let the person I was there to see that I was there and ready to do my paperwork. He was obviously in the middle of something so I had to wait. (No problem here, just giving context.)As I waited and looked around more, I realized that maybe I was taking a chance. If something happened to Gritr while I waiting for the government to do the paperwork on my silencer, I would most likely be out my money for the silencer and the tax stamp. After about 30 minutes of waiting with no end in sight (looked like the person I was there to see started doing something else) or word, I got my deposit back and left. I do not have time to waste in the middle of the day especially after I tried to do everything possible to prevent this situation.Takeaways:1. Their website inventory does not reflect their in store inventory.2. If you plan to buy a silencer, setup a meeting time and call a few times before going in.

I have been a loyal customer for over 7 years. The knowledge, friendship and customer service is the best hands down, the issue on the gun range on Saturday March 21 at 12:45 pm garners a two star. I purchased a 22 Smith and Wesson platform AR small Critters around the property. I paid, went to the range and shot 2 mags of 25 when a range person pushed a chair to me. I looked at him as he was speaking but I am hard of hearing, I lifted my left ear protector slightly to hear him, he yelled put your ears back on. I told him I am hard of hearing, he said he would yell. He told me I must sit to fire this firearm. I understand shooting a high caliber bolt action from a sitting position, but not this firearm. I cleared the range and went to Shoot Smart down the street with no issue and fired this firearm standing up. The customer satisfaction with the range is a 2 star, the customer approach was not a customer satisfaction or delight. I will continue buying from you guys as you are the best around, no doubt. I will not be back at your range as the approach to an older, hearing impaired person, range rule with this small 22AR platform is unheard of locally at ranges.

This is my first experience with 1800 guns and ammo. I been following there social medial account for the longest time I just never had time or a need to visit the store. The pictures looked really nice online so it was booked marked as a one day Ill eventually get to it.Fast forward a few years later. I currently work for the military and get moved around a lot. Another local DFW gun shop advertised the new HK SP5 I could get on pre-order with a promise Ill get it by February. I went with that because it has already been 3-4 days after HK announced it. After taxes it came out to be 2990ish.A week after this. I see 1800 guns and ammos post about the SP5 and the price was way below MSRP and beating the 2990 the other local gun shop was selling. Like 400ish dollars cheaper! On top of that it was 1 in stock so I called them so quick!I spoke with Eric on the phone and hashed out the detailed and he was able to take my order over the phone since they havent put it up on the website. Of course with a charge this high my bank kept kicking it back but we couldnt figure out why. Eric worked with me for over and hour with my bank so we could narrow down the issue. Turned out the bank changed my address to my military one and after a quick change it processed through. It was super awesome that Eric went above and beyond staying on the phone with my bank and I to make sure I didnt lose my change at my dream gun.They held my purchase until I came in a few days before Christmas. I was super excited and I have never visited the store but it was nice to see the store finally at its new location. I liked the old one only because it was closer to my home. However this new one is big with the added range. I also saw some rooms for classroom training.The location had a good amount of accessories but I am an optics guy and I usually check out this section to get a good feel of the store. It was unimpressive with the few brands they carried. Nikons are what stuck out the most to me but they did have a few Vortex. I think I really would like to see some higher end stuff like Nightforce or Schmidt and Bender. I think that would make them stand out more.I was greeted by Jose who worked with getting my order together and he was also awesome. Former Army guy and mention for future purchases they give discounts to military members. He advised how lucky I was. After my purchase, there were numerous inquires for the SP5.I felt lucky but I also respect a gun store that is not price gouging a high demand product. Its straight to the consumer at fair price. I dont think you can beat that with any local store around. This alone makes me want to be a repeat customer.I look forward to watching this store grow and hope to come back when they have products I want/need.
