As always from start to finish very friendly, professional and helpful. Even though having some issues with their computer they worked to resolve as quickly as possible. I trust them with my eye health and always feel confident when I walk out the door that I have been in excellent care.

Millard Family Eyecare is the best and we’ve been going there for over 20 years! Always on time with your appointments and the staff is very professional. Dr. Michaels is very attentive and takes the time to explain things. Never makes you feel rushed. Shows he cares!

Had a great experience. Staff really knows the equipment they use to test your eyes.Doctor is very good if a test isn’t what she is looking for they do it over to make sure they have a good comparison from the previous test.Very friendly staff from the greeter to the billing person after the doctor visit. Doctor is very thorough checking and explaining what is happening and why she is doing what she is doing.

Saying I’m impressed with this practice would be an understatement. From the assistants to seeing Dr. Ellen Weiss, everyone was friendly and pleasant. The technology they have in office isn’t like anything I’ve ever seen before. The advancement is amazing! Additionally, Dr. Weiss discovered my prescription has been pretty wrong for the past 2 years (given by a different provider in a different state). Having a new, correct prescription feels wonderful and I am so grateful for her help. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I made an appointment for an FAA required eye exam. While making the appointment I discussed what I needed with two people at the office. They assured me they could they could do everything required. I brought them the paperwork to triple check and they assured me everything was kosher. I waited 2 weeks for the appointment then 2 hour before they called and said I needed to go to my old Doctor. My old doctor had retired. Millard Family Eye Care didnt care and wouldnt explain why they wouldnt do the appointment. Completely incompetent. Avoid this office.

Excellent experience. The staff is very friendly. A great deal of attention is spent ensuring the environment is safe. Great example of a business thoughtfully and comprehensively addressing the challenges of the current pandemic with minimal impact on the customer experience. I appreciate their policies and was impressed with their teamwork. Professionalism from the moment we arrived and throughout every step. I really respect and appreciate the entire team.

I have been going to Dr Michaels for a number of years. I like his professionalism, innovative ways to check your eyesight. I recommend them every time someone asks who I go to for eye exam and glasses. There may be cheaper places but sometimes you get what you pay for and I feel that your vision is not something you want to go cheap on.

It’s been years since I’ve been to an eye doctor and this experience was great. I took myself and my two daughters. The facility itself is very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and explained everything they were doing the whole time, including billing items. The dr was so friendly and we will be going here for future routine yearly exams.

Everyone was great. Appointment was great. Overall experience great except I waited over half an hour to pay after I chose my glasses. Appointment took two hours because of that.

The staff members were very friendly and followed the new safety protocols with ease. I felt like the staff was knowledgeable and could answer questions easily. My children did were well taken care of during their eye exam and were not nervous at all. There was one staff member at the front desk who came across as having had a long day and was not as pleasant as the other staff members, but we all have bad days.

The COVID protocols made it seem safe but not overwhelming. The staff were all friendly as they made my visit thorough but timely.

Dr. Michaels and his eye care staff did an outstanding job with me.Problem I have is when ordering new lenses and when checking out there was no question if I had Eye Care insurance and I didnt think to bring it up. I was charged, through my credit card, the full price of lenses. No mention that their policy is for me to file myself with my insurance company rather than the clinic filing.

I took my 2.5 year old son here for his first eye care visit and we’ll never be back. We were there for nearly 2 hours most of that time was spent waiting. He ended up having to get his eyes dilated which they had us go back out to the waiting room for 20 more minutes to give his eyes time to fully dilate. After30 plus more minutes of trying to keep a extremely restless child entertained and to keep him from touching everything, I finally asked the receptionist if she could check and see how much longer it would be. She came back and said it’s going to be a few more minutes. At this point my son is beyond done waiting he’s screaming I just say we’re going to have to reschedule and I take my son to the van. After a few minutes in the van my son seemed calm enough to try again, I really didn’t want him to have to come back and get his eyes dilated again. So we went back in only to hear the receptionist talking about us to her coworkers this went on for a few more minutes before she realized we were at the front desk. I confronted her about talking about us and how that is not great customer service and all she said she felt bad for my son. When we finally saw the Dr. after another 10 minute wait and I told her about my experience, she didn’t seem shocked by her receptionist’s behavior nor did she apologize. She basically defended her by saying I just needed to “bite the bullet” and just waited. As I mentioned before, this was his FIRST eye appointment and we did not know what to expect. We had no idea how much longer he had after the dilation.Horrible experience. Horrible service. Will never go back.

Place is clean. Doctor is nice. I wouldnt recommend ordering from there tho. I ordered contacts between 2 and 3 weeks ago. Still have not seen them. Every time I call I get an attitude and the run around. They say they will track them down and call me back. Maybe 4th time is the charm.

The exam was very thorough followed with a professional, very knowledgeable explanation of my exam. The optician was ever so helpful with deciding which frames looked and fit the best.

Dr Michaels is a straight forward doctor who understands what you describe to him as symptoms. His staff are through and make sure they get to the bottom of any vision issue you have. The folks that help you put together glasses, specially Donna, listen to what you want and guide you to the best solution. Their attention to detail makes me feel really good about them. I shave been going there for 3 years and will stay with them. I have a cataract issue and they are taking great care of me.

Took my daughters glasses in to get fixed on Saturday morning. Waited for a call back and never received. Now my daughter won’t have glasses until Monday. Will be taking her to another eye glass place for new glasses so she can go to school on monday

Our family of 4 has been going to Millard Family Eye are for 20 years and highly recommend. They stay on top of technology when it comes to monitoring the health of your eyes and go above and beyond when it comes to putting their patients first.

In the past I have highly recommended Millard Family Eyecare. Not so much now. Safety Protocols are a little overboard. Temperature and made to wash your hands before your appointment. Chemical use in the test rooms was way overboard. Employee and I were actually coughing from the fumes. Chair was still wet from spraying - glad I had on jeans. Actual exams no longer include the peripheral exam (I guess you have to touch something!) and exam with optometrist much shorter. They still charge you to review the test results but it is only done in a cursory manner. Seemed like it was get you in and get you out as soon as possible. I could not touch the glasses on display - they had to be handled by an optician. Could take my mask off to try on glasses but if I got up from the table to walk 10 ft away was chastised for not putting my mask back on. Left with my prescription and purchased glasses elsewhere.

Dr Michael is extremely nice but their optical department just arent doing their jobs. Very non-caring individuals 🙄

I normally do not write a review, but felt this one was warranted. I will start with the positive. Dr. Weiss was very good and professional. The gal that helped my wife and I pick out frames was also good. This is why I feel two stars were earned. We had appointments at 4:30 and 4:50 p.m. after which we were getting help finding frames and getting prices. The place closes at 6 which we didnt realize until another customer asked. We elected to just pay for our eye exams and wait on glasses for now. The receptionist was extremely rude because I believe, she had to wait on us. We were trying to finish up picking out frames etc. This is a lot of money that I want to make a good decision on. Im sorry the receptionist had to stay late. She was making comments to make us feel very guilty plus nasty body language. We will be buying glasses elsewhere. That receptionist ruined my whole experience.

The experience with an eye exam was very good! Trying to get a copy of my script to order glasses elsewhere has been a painful journey! I asked them to mail it; never received it. I asked them to email it; Sorry, our email doesnt work well. Asked them to fax it; received a partial cover page and they wont try sending it again.Taking my business elsewhere and advising friends to stay away.

The whole staff is wonderful!

First time getting an eye exam. Dr., receptionist, eye glass person, were all very professional and helpful. The Dr. explained the exam results to me in detail which was nice. The only thing was I spent a little more money than I planned, but Id chaulk that up to my first time. I spent about $300 after insurance for the upgraded exam and the best glasses they could get me. The building was very nice on the inside and the equipment all appeared to be cutting edge technology and in great condition. Id definitely recommend to anyone, would just suggest to be prepared for paying a little for glasses even after insurance. I know I could get glasses cheaper elsewhere, but I felt like I could trust them more to get it perfect.

Wonderful staff and polite staff right as you walk in the door. Dr Gonka went over the results of my testing and explained everything in detail. I’ve never gotten and experience at an eye care facility as nice as this.

She took great care to evaluate and explain every aspect of my exam.I was very impressed with Dr. Gonka and all of the associates in the office. I’m really happy to have Millard Family Eyecare taking such good care of my eyes. .

Dr. Weiss is a terrific eye doctor. Highly recommend her. My left eye got a little worse after my last appointment and I was in the first three months after my last appointment so she let me switch them out for free. How awesome is that!

You need better receptionists, first of all they should wear name tag, now the lady with glasses and short hairs acts like she is being bothered by asking her to make an appointment. I have always get my kids glasses here and never had a problem, this person needs some customer service training.

I had a very pleasant experience here. My appointment started right on time and I was whisked away to my various tests. Any question I had was promptly answered. All in all, a great visit.

I have been seeing Dr. Weiss for about 5 years now and have always had a great experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and Dr. Weiss is professional, yet also friendly. She always takes the time to explain everything in a way that I can understand. I have recommended her to several friends over the past few years and they have all come back very pleased. They are a bit pricier than the mall chains, but I trust them and I feel it is completely worth it!

Dr. Weiss knows what she is doing. She has a lot of awards and is affiliated with some great organizations. I trust her to give me a good preventative review for my very small prescription. That being said if you dont have any real eye problems, Id skip this place. Its huge, there is plenty of staff; however, they take years getting you through. Two hours for an annual checkup is insane. I also feel like they are plugging optical reps left and right in there. Then you are pushed to order glasses on the spot. With the advancement of the internet, its just unnecessary and insanely overpriced. If you value you your time, Id just go to Costco in the future. Quick, easy and the same amount of accuracy.

I’ve been going here for about 25 years. They are very professional and good at their jobs. I would recommend them.

I inquired online about setting up an appointment. They responded with a very brief email saying to call in to go any further. I called in, she took no interest in trying to win me as a new customer, so much silence on the other end that I almost asked if someone was still there on the other end, no available appointments. As someone that hasnt seen an eye doctor for over 10 years and know I need to go somewhere, they certainly didnt have any desire to take on a new patient. My husband has gone there but we both will certainly be going elsewhere.

Communication between the staff is horrible. Communication to me on what needed to be done when ordering glasses for the 1st time did not happen. They expected me to know what the process was when its their job to educate me when we are a first time client. Will get my daughters glass and then we will never go back.Dr Weiss was great with my daughter and was really impressed with her. But after the staff messed up our glasses order twice and it takes 4 weeks to get glasses with no explanation, we will not be going back.

Today was unlike any previous visit. When picking out glasses they usually print out a sheet showing what your insurance coverage entails. This was not done today and as a result I was overcharged big time I ended up not getting my much needed progressive lenses and come to find the standard progressive lenses is covered at 100 They we’re going to charge me a few hundred dollars The anti glare was overcharged at 205with my insurance being billed120 leaving me with an amount well over what my insurance lists on their website for my portion I called my insurance and they don’t understand the huge amounts I am being charged and will be calling on Monday. I am very Disappointed

The doctors and the staff that help you pick out glasses are great. The receptionists are terrible. I thought I had scratched my eye so I called in to get an appointment, but their after hours message played for 15 minutes after they were open so someone wasn’t doing their job. I finally got ahold of someone and the receptionist got me an appointment, but called back 15 minutes later and said my insurance wouldn’t cover it (what?) so I asked why, who I should call, or if I could just come in and pay out of pocket and all she said was “I don’t know”. No explanation or suggestions. They’re always super rude when I’m in the office, anyway, so I’ll be finding a new eye doctor.

I just quit a large eye care clinic in Omaha due to the hassles of their billing my insurance company and started having issues with one of my eyes. I was able to get right in the next day with Millard Family Eyecare. I discussed the billing issues I had with my previous eye care clinic and was assured Millard Family Eyecare would bill my insurance the best way affordable for their patients. Dr. Weiss was very professional and thorough in her exam. I made my annual eye exam appointment before leaving that day so I will be making Millard Family Eyecare my permanent eye care clinic. The staff is great!!

I see Dr. Weiss and she is a very nice woman. She helped me find a brand of contacts that worked for me, it took trying 3 different brands but she found one that was comfortable.Everyone Ive dealt with has been great, the order time for contacts is fast and the prices are very reasonable.I would definitely recommend them.

We wear glasses and contacts....all our needs are taken care of promptly. I love going to Millard Family Eye Care. The staff is always very professional and I was seen by my doctor quickly. David Michaels is a great doctor and very easy to inquire about problems. My dad has some serious issues with his eyes and so good eye care is very important to me. As far as price, I find them very fair for the service they offer. Eyes are an investment in my mind and I would rather have a well-known, established practice than some crackpot. I will be going back and am a very satisfied customer.
