What a great experience! Not only are the trained professionals at Insight Eye Care knowledgeable and professional, but they are also patient & personable.I was thrilled to find out that I could try on as many frames as wanted and then put them in a basket for them to clean off. Also they allowed me to take 6 pair home to see if I like them so I could have my family and friends weigh-in on my choice of glasses. They were flexible in making appointments and even had a drive-through option in Oshkosh. I was very grateful when they ordered different colors of a frame I liked without charge. Lastly, they were helpful in getting the most out of my insurance benefits which I really appreciated. They had a large selection of stylish frames. And my lenses are perfect! I couldnt ask for anything better.

Dr. Ames does thorough exams and doesnt rush his time with you. Answers all questions in lay terms. All his staff is as personable as he is. Ive been a patient of Dr. Richard Ames, Ryans father, and now Ryan totaling 48 years! Highly recommended!

HIGHLY do not recommended coming here! Staff is rude, I had called over a week prior to verify my appointment and insurance information, the gentleman I spoke with said they accepted my insurance, now the rude lady at the front desk says it’s not! Horrible customer service! I scheduled this appointment specifically because I needed new glasses and contacts before vacation, and now I won’t have them in time! I am leaving a bad review anywhere I possibly can for this place. They should’ve given me the correct information UP FRONT!

Very casual but in a professional matter. Felt like they want to make sure you are happy with what you want and not very pushy on selling you something you dont want. Friendly and caring.

Very nice and take time out to explain everything to you. If you have questions they answer them and do not make you feel bad for asking them. I would recommend InSight for your exams and they also give a discount on eye glasses if you do not have insurance.

Very welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Beers listened to my thoughts and concerns and adjusted accordingly. The optician picked out the perfect frame and she measured so accurately that when I put the glasses on, they were perfect. This is the first time in a long time I was able to wear new glasses with no issues. In May I went back for an update and the glasses just werent working right. Beth in the Optical Department took measurements, check with the lab, made them again and again with so much patience. Dr. Beers redid the prescription as a last resort. I am happy to report I believe they are now working. They spent a lot of time with me and when I would apologize for the trouble, they would just say were gonna get it right! I appreciate them and owe them donuts!!

Dr. Ames if great! He takes his time with my visits and attentively listens to my concerns. I dont feel rushed or pushed out of the chair because another patient is waiting. You walk away feeling like he generally is interested in your well being.

They don’t accept cash payment at all worst service every they don’t care about patients it is all about the contracts that they have rather than actual people ! Do not go here !EditedWhen I called I did not want to use my insurance but I was told I can not pay in cash only because of agreed upon contracts between insurance and the company. So paying 100% out of my own pocket was not allowed because of said contract.

After I called for an update, they realized their error and ordered the lenses. They compensated me for my wait and I ended up being satisfied with the whole process.

I am very impressed with Insight Eye Care. Dr. Ryan Ames and staff are very knowledgeable and take time with me and my family in every visit we experience. I am especially impressed with the care he took with me when I dealt with dry eyes. I had seen so many eye doctors previous to Dr. Ames and he was the first to get to the bottom of my issue and truly help me feel better. Ive also had to bring with me to appointments my three year old, and his staff are so helpful and kind to my kids. One of his staff even helped my three year old wipe her nose when it was running. I have to say (5 Stars). My daughter visited InSight Eye care in Oshkosh to get new contacts. She recommended this place to us saying this guy is the best Optometrist taking the time to get her eye prescription just right. I was like I must try this place out then after I was experiencing burning eye and blurriness in left eye and I wanted to get some new glasses. During the exam the eye care specialist Ryan Ames told me what he found to be causing my eye issues. He took the time to tell me my best course of treatment. Im impressed because I have been seen by several other places that never mentioned or knew what had been causing my eye discomforts and blurred vision. I would also like to mention Antoine the professional there that helped me pick out glasses frames that would fit perfectly for optimal comfort and measured my pupillary distance or matching my eyes to the lenses to perfection. Im basing that off of how comfortable seeing threw this pair of glasses are compared to any other place that i have gotten glasses from before. I am really impressed with the warranty on childrens glasses. My sons dog recently chewed on his glasses, and they replaced them free, with no hassles. They are very professional and very kid-friendly.

Ryan caught that I had glaucoma and was losing vision in my right eye already! The standard tests (blowing air onto surface of the eye) didnt show it because I have thin corneas, which is how it was missed for so long. Im so grateful he caught this! I cant get back the vision Ive already lost, but I can stop it from progressing any further and prevent sight loss in the left eye. Very personable staff. And you cant beat the fresh-baked cookies!

We took our son in to get his glasses tightened. The woman who helped noticed a small crack in the frames and some scratches on the lenses and reminded us they were under warranty and ordered a replacement pair at no cost to us. Our son is 5 so his glasses go through a lot. The warranty will allow us to keep him in well fitting, scratch free glasses.

Recently I began to have a hard time seeing clearly with my mono vision contacts. Dr. Ames fitted me with bi-focal lenses, which improved my sight somewhat, but it still wasnt crisp. He suggested I try new multi-focal lenses and they are great! Im so grateful that he went the extra mile to help me have the best result instead of just leaving it at adequate improvement. He and the employees at Insight Eye Care are a great team, they all work hard to give you the best care possible. So glad I found them!

I required additional testing I didnt really understand due to a medical condition. I cant say enough about the treatment I received from both Doctors, I feel much better about things thanks to them. The entire crew at insight was wonderful, they even special ordered frames in for me to try on. We have a winner!

Very kid-friendly. They are happy to adjust my daughters glasses at no additional charge after they were bent on the playground; they have replaced my sons frames multiple times under warranty. Dr. Ames is great with the kids and does a thorough exam.
