My whole family is seen by Virginia Vision Associates & we couldnt be happier with the treatment & care we receive! I just saw Dr. London this week & was so pleased & grateful for his professionalism, thoroughness & genuine concern. I love the staff as well - Anna is the best:)

Edit: Updating my review to say Dr. London reached out to me - which I very much appreciate - and will be refunding me for the sunglasses and reviewing my prescription for the clear lenses and fixing my prescription for those lenses if I have the same headache/dizziness issue.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I wouldnt recommend choosing this practice. I had no issues with the doctor, but the office staff members are at best unclear/unhelpful or at worst deliberately misleading folks on the return policy for frames/lenses.I purchased a set of sunglasses and clear lenses, and waited about 2 weeks for the notification to pick them up. When I went to pick them up, they didnt have my clear lenses, just the sunglasses, and they never called/messaged me when the clear lenses did arrive.I was also told I had 30 days after picking up a set of glasses to return them. When I started wearing the prescription sunglasses, I had terrible headaches and dizziness; I tried to return them, only to be told that they only allow exchanges and that I must schedule an additional appointment within the 30 days to be able to do that exchange - which was surprisingly difficult (it seems that the doctor is only at this office on Thursdays?)Overall, a super frustrating experience and Im really disappointed to be stuck with 2 (expensive!) pairs of glasses that I cant return and cant wear.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. SIMPLY CALLED TO INQUIRE ABOUT AN ITEM. AFTER BEING ON HOLD FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES THE MANAGER CAME ON THE PHONE WITH AN EXTREMELY RUDE TONE FOR NO REASON AT ALL AS IF I HAD DONE SOMETHING TO HER. DONT EVEN CARE TO GO IN BECAUSE IF I RECEIVED THAT EXPERIENCE ON THE PHONE THERES NO TELLING HOW IT WILL BE WHEN IF I WENT IN. SIMPLY PATHETIC, WISH I COULD GIVE IT 0 STARS.

I have been going to Dr. London for a long time and I am deemed medically necessary to wear glasses/contact, aka very blind. Dr. London is the only person I trust for my prescription. Recently I have gone for my exam and glasses. I am very impressed with the measures they took for COVID-19. There was nobody in the wait room, they took temperature and they made everyone wash their hands when you walk in. I didnt see any of the staff taking their masks off in the entire time I was there.

So good Ive been coming here for 35 years. Dr. London is fantastic, and so are the entire staff. This place is easy, no complicated billing, extremely personal service. I believe Dr. London provides truly superior medical evaluation and treatment. I started at age 15 with hard contacts (and glasses); then soft lenses, then daily-wear lenses, and recently, reading glasses. I wouldnt even think about going anywhere else.

Ive been a patient here for 3 years so far. I would be to say they deserve 4 stars. Last week, I went to get my glasses fixes, Staff was really nice and welcoming. I’ve never had any trouble with my examination, or getting a copy of my prescription for my eyeglasses.

The Very Best of Eye Care – It is nice to go to a healthcare professional where you dont feel like part of a robotic assembly line. At Va Vision, from the moment I entered, I felt valued and appreciated. My eye exam by Dr London was excellent. I usually dont like doctors, but his demeanor is so calming...he is just a really nice guy...that, by the end of the exam I felt confident in his council and advice. Yes, I needed glasses. No, I didnt want contacts. Yes he has the most amazing selection of frames in the area. I have referred many many people to VA Vision and all agree...it is a special staff and Dr London is amazing.

I have been going to Dr. Whitescarver for years and she is the best and the entire staff are fantastic. They are so patient and kind. I love that they allow me the time I need to pick out the perfect frame each year. Their frames are one of a kind.

Eye can see clearly now! – Dr. London and everyone in his office has taken care of my familys eyeballs for many years. As we have grown older and blinder, we have had to visit more often than in years past, but the prices in his little office are comparable to the big chains in every mall and shopping center, plus he takes wonderful personal care of us. One time I accidentally shot myself in the eye with a bungee cord and Dr. London rushed to the office after hours to take care of me. You dont get that kind of service at the big chains!

Ive tried 5 different eye doctors in the DC area, and this is by far the best. I have keratoconus, which means that I have to wear some form of hard contact to get the best vision. Other doctors that I went to kept telling me that the terribly uncomfortable lenses that they were giving me were the best and telling me well, I dont see any problems with the lenses. Yet, I couldnt wear them for longer than an hour.At Virginia Vision Associates, they first tried a hybrid hard/soft contact but that wasnt working out very well, so Dr. London suggested wearing a hard contact on top of a soft contact. It has worked perfectly! I can now wear my contacts for > 10 hours a day and I see great.You probably wont have the same issues as me, but here are the things that made Virginia Vision Associates (and especially Dr. London) great:* Insurance! I had no problems getting insurance to pay for my expensive lenses. I have had tons of problems with insurance in the past. Their insurance person is awesome!* They work till they get it right. I went to Dr. London around 10 times before we had the perfect fit.* Convenience. Its 2 blocks from the Virginia Square Metro.* Small and personal. No long waiting lines.

I was planning to change my lenses but due to insurance reasons I’ll wait till the new year. Very good service. They gave me the rubber piece I lost from my Mykita glasses.

Virginia Vision Associates and Dr. Whitescarver went above and beyond to see that my new glasses were the best they could be. They were infinitely patient and very knowledgeable -- in the end I am thrilled with my very complicated prescription and Im seeing better than I have in years.

Dr. Lobaugh is excellent, as are the rest of the team. Taken care of my family’s vision for years! Highly recommended.

Really like this practice and Dr Whitescarver. Never feel rushed for appointments and answers all my questions. Love the new scanner that can be used instead of dilation.

I just call to see if I can make an appointment because for 2 weeks my left eye is watering, I never use glasses before, the receptionist call Marle or Maure I dont know, I couldnt understand her English she told me that they cant do anything because they just do prescriptions for glasses, but she say I can still make an appointment for you... I dint know why I should make an appointment if they will not be able to help me... the receptionist couldnt give me a good reason why. I will never bother to call again or recommend any family or friends to go to this place.
