Found an interesting Mediterranean Market, Damaskino, 1704 Taylor Ave though small found some interesting stuff and items that remind us of places we have been to in Europe. They also make fresh items, pies etc. They have a small selection of Turkish coffeeand tea, frozen foods, cheese and more. They were very friendly and priced reasonably. Definitely will be back soon. #supportlocalbusiness

Very nice, clean and organized. The store/ variety expanded impressively fast. The prices are more reasonable than most middle eastern stores in the area. The owner (Sami) is a great guy. Very nice and helpful. And as others said, if you’re looking for a particular thing and it’s not there, ask him for it and he will bring it in.

It is a great grocery especially when it comes to the location, also it is so clean and organized. It targets Middle East people more than others, however, it does offer a lot of stuff that might fit Americans’ taste too. The owner is very kind and nice. The owner buy some homemade things and the most thing that I love is the cheese pie he offers there. I really would like to advise you to try the cheese pie.

Ive been there a few times. They are pricier than other halal grocery stores in the area. I bought some bulgar to make tabouli and opened it when I got home to find bugs in it. I also bought a garlic masher from there and it had cracks within using it the first few times meaning its bad quality.

They recently started carrying Fresh Garlic...which we use in cooking all of the time! I highly recommend Damaskino!

My favorite store to get many prepared traditional Arabic savory pastries, plus all the ingredients I need for making Arabic foods. It is, hands down, the best place in the whole Central Maryland region for fresh pita bread that passes my squeeze test! There is often fresh kusa — Lebanese summer squash — and they are nice and small, perfect for a dinner party. I am told by the owner that with advance notice, you can order kusa stuffed with a meat-and-rice or vegan filling, ready to heat and serve. The store also has a wide selection of spices, olive oil, tools such as a maamoul mold and a kusa corer, pickles and olive oils. Everything a cook needs to make at least Lebanese and Syrian food, and probably any Middle Eastern food.

A small, clean, privately owned, Mediterranean/Middle Eastern grocery store. The owner Samy is a lovely man. A recent immigrant from Syria - very friendly and helpful (ask for his advice). The variety of products is nice and worth a try. My personal favorite is the bread (very fresh), cucumber pickles, Labne (yogurt dip), sesame sweets barazek, dates and many more. The best part is: if you cant find something you want (special spice, prefered brand ...), ask for it and he will get it for you! This is definitely a gem for every Greek, Turkish, Arab or Italian family, but also a wonderful find for those of us who want to try some new ethnic food or exotic products. He offers the occasional seasonal vegetables and fruit, fresh olives and cheese by the pound, cheese and spinach pies, many ready to eat prepared meals, Henna and specialty cookware.
