Authentic Latin food and fresh juice drinks. They were very busy during our stop due to the annual feathered friends bird fair next door. They were more than accommodating, I’ve never had a bad experience. Bathrooms and dining room very clean and all the food was flavorful. If it was a larger place with more seating it would be 5 stars easily.

I ordered from here for the first time today because I wanted to try something new on Mothers Day and let me tell you... 10/10 absolutely delicious and authentic. I ordered a variety of things to try and I loved it all, so did my family. Packed with flavor. I will definitely be ordering from here again in the near future. Incredible food. We ordered tamales, pupusas and tacos. After we had finished, we sincerely wished we had ordered more despite being completely stuffed.The environment was welcoming and lovely as well. The gentleman who rang me up (we ordered take out) was a delight. Cheerful and kind, singing under his breath. I will definitely be back.

This was our first time at the restaurant. Being unfamiliar with Salvadoran food, we asked the waitress for a suggestion and she recommended we try the pupusa. We had 3 pupusa: 1 bean, 1 cheese, and 1 pork. They were all great and quite inexpensive. In addition we had a steak burrito which was big enough for the 2 of us to share. Excellent food, great service, and a casual atmosphere; all at a very reasonable price. What more can you ask for!

Amazing resturant and Latin Market! Food is always consistent and fresh which can take time sometimes but they are usually quick. All of the servers speak English so dont worry if you dont speak Spanish. The owner is a gem and very nice and always talks to me and my family. The market has a good assortment of goods from central and South America. There is always something to find here!

Horrid. I came in only 1 person behind me. Ordered a simple chorizo torta. Sat 29 mins and no food. I asked the waitress who was on the phone having a personal conversation what was up and she got visibly upset and was rude. I watched a guy who came in and ordered after me walk out with food. I paid for my beverage and left. WASTE OF TIME!! Do Not bother! Was not busy at all and no plethora of online orders. Just rude.

Went looking for the best quesadilla around, but got tempted away by the torta. It was delicious. I left stuffed and happy. I will be back for that quesadilla! Do wish I spoke Spanish though.

So siced I found this place bc this is definitely my new go-to pupusa spot! also their large horchata is HUGEEE. everything is reasonably priced, authentic AF and most importantly - DELICIOSO!

This is a locally owned restaurant and worth checking out. We ordered a Carne Asada and a Beef Fiesta Nachos. The Carne Asada was seasoned well, a large portion, and the accompanying plantains and rice were very tasty as well. The nachos were flavorful but they use a sauce (red) which made a lot of the chips soggy before reaching the table. They were still good and would request the sauce on the side next time. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. Check this place out if you get the chance.

Excellent food and service

My husband and I got the chorizo and chicken tortas. Everything was fresh and delicious! Especially like the bread they used. We also had the pina colada smoothies which I also highly recommend. Everything was clean and the service was friendly.

We have long been looking for an authentic, reasonably priced restaurant serving Hispanic dishes. Holy smokes, have we one! El Trovador is a hidden gem. We ordered corn tamales, shrimp tacos, a shrimp burrito, a chicken burrito, and Tres Leches for dessert. Everything, absolutely everything was fresh and flavorful. While we have not been able to go out to restaurants for six months, it is so wonderful when you ate able to find take out that reminds you of what great cooking and wonderful tastes restaurants can create. This has become one of our new “go to” restaurants when we just want a break from the kitchen but still want something great to eat.

Their Pupusas and Hot chocolate are amazing! I would also recommend the tacos. My favorite are the steak, carnitas, lengua and the al pastor. There chicken is a little dry. The chicken tamale has a little too much skin and the masa a little dry.Still, try them out!

The food is outstanding! Ive only had takeout (COVID), but its super delicious every single time. The portions are generous, they have great selection, and offer lengua, which not all places do. My boyfriend and I frequently order here because its so tasty! If youre thinking about trying this place - do it!!

If you want authentic Latin food, this is the place. It’s a weekend delivery addiction. Carnitas is savory. Mole Poblano is on point. Chicken is moist. Burritos and enchiladas are my favorites. My mouth is watering, just writing this review.

I picked up a carry-out order (tacos, rice, beans, and cheese dip) from El Trovador today and it was so so so good! Ive been struggling to find good Mexican food since I moved to Maryland, but I think Ive found my new spot! This place is in a pretty unassuming spot, but the food was delicious, hot, and so affordable. Ill certainly be back!

I was working in the area and decided to try this place. I consider myself a Latin food aficionado lol, but I was only brave enough to try the tamales de Pollo y pupusas revueltas with pork and cheese, but they were delicious! Alot of flavor in both and usually I only like my own tamales. I did not go inside, I did curbside delivery, but the woman was very friendly.

Amazing! Everything tasted so fresh...I ordered the shrimp burrito and two chicken tacos traditional with corn tortillas. The chicken was not dry at all and seasoned perfectly. The burrito was flavorfull and super big. I couldnt even eat half of it! Not only was I impressed with the food but the service was above the top. And I suggest getting the banana smoothie it too was very good! Excellent overall. Im glad we stopped in here.

Just left after having the BEST lunch ever! We ordered the steak fajitas and steak burritos, warm tortillas, sides of rice, beans, guacamole, & cream. It was perfection! I always go here to purchase tortillas and this is a very decent restaurant. The owners are very nice and the pupusas are everything if you know about authentic Salvadoran food and you have travelled out the country this is the only place you can get the real deal. Excellent

If I could give it a cero stars I would. Got some Chiles rellenos no flavor. They had too much water! When those dont suppose to have any salsa or water on top of them unless its a creamy consistence. First time here and it already disappointed me. Thanks God I only got those! No flavor and it doesnt look fresh! Not cooked like they supposed to!

Save your money. We ordered $40 worth of food, all to be sorely disappointed. We got the house salads, which were decent except that we requested them without radish (which is one of the base ingredients). Both salads had radish, and did not have avocado (which is one of the ingredients that we were looking forward to). Also, the salad was supposed to come with Mexican cheese, but it was just feta. As an entree, we ordered burritos, and they tasted like absolutely nothing. No spice, no flavor, nothing. We wont be ordering again.

Brought me the wrong food and refused to replace it. When I called back I told them and I was told to hold on got hung up on and then they wouldnt answer my calls. I have ordered here several times but it is overpriced for that kind of service. Will not be returning

Person who answered phone swore by his chicken salad enchiladas. And yes theres pics of the pile of chicken squares. 😥 Wont happen again.

Skip this place, couldnt hear myself think because the place was full of screaming kids, no one was speaking English, the food was marginal as was the service and there was a group of seriously questionable guys hanging around out front.

This restaurant is not a Mexican Restaurant. It is a Latin Grill. A very important distinction as their food stands above all the others! The location is in a strip mall worthy of a visit by Guy Fieri of Diners Drive Inns & Dives! It is a little hole in the wall restaurant with an attached grocery store where your ‘to go’ orders can be picked up. The wait staff are all Latino & wonderfully hospitible. The place was busy when we got there & we were the only non Latinos in there, which to us was a very good sign! We were a party of 7 so we got to try a variety of items. The homemade guacamole is not made table side but it is very fresh & very delicious! The complimentary chips are freshly cooked & served warm along with the homemade salsa. Our entries were chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, ground beef tacos, vegan tacos, a chicken quesadilla, chicken fajitas & a steak tortes. All of the tacos are made from 2 handmade corn tortillas. The chicken tacos only contain fresh chopped onion & chopped cilantro with the lime wedge, grilled “cebollines” & radishes on the side The vegan tacos are all vegetable - grilled onions, zucchini, peppers topped with cilantro, with sliced radishes & a lime wedge on the side. All the tacos come 3 to a serving & they were very delicious! I used some of the table salsa as well as the salsa verde & the homemade guacamole for a topping. The ground beef tacos are the only ones served specifically in a hard shell. The tacos were all a big hit! In fact all of the entrees were either completely devoured or some remnant taken hope for another meal. The steak tortas was ordered by our dear German friend who wasn’t a fan of ‘mexican’ food. She did get it without the jalapeños, avocado & retried beans so it was basically a steak sandwich but she loved it & loved the guacamole & chips so we might have won her over. We did order a flan & an order of plain Plantains to go, both of which were amazing! The star point for all of us with this restaurant was that the food was not greasy which we have encountered in so many ‘Mexican’ restaurants & the flavors of the food really stood out. This is a BYOB restaurant. Complete menu is on their website. Our new ‘go to’ place for GOOD Latino food!
