My visit with the Visionworks at Pentagon City Mall was amazing! I was helped by Tuesday, who could actually give a Master’s class in high quality customer service. She was thorough, patient, and pleasant, making a normally routine transaction a really memorable experience. AND, she helped to ensure that I could take advantage of a 60% off coupon deal. These days, customer service is becoming a lost art. I am happy to know that there is still at least one place where it exists. Coming to this store was a great value and investment for me. Many thanks to Tuesday and the staff there for making it so.

I had a great experience with this Visionworks location! I came in with two pair of broken glasses and Christopher spent an extended amount of time fixing them and cleaning them for me. I have also had my eye exams done here and they are always great. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great eyeglass store/eye doctor!

The doctor I had was extremely nice and the highlight of my visit. The receptionists who sold me my contact lenses were not. I simply asked to know what the price was for a year supply of contacts so I could compare when I got back home to other places online. They smirked and told me I wouldnt find it cheaper anywhere else. I brushed it off because I guess thats what salesman are supposed to do. My insurance covered most of my cost, but I had to pay 70 dollars for the contacts out of pocket. That isnt bad, but I knew I could get it for cheaper elsewhere online. As I was leaving they told me I could get an $80 rebate as well, so I bought the contacts there. When I went home, I found out that the rebate was only $30. I am extremely annoyed with this experience as I was literally blatantly lied to in order for them to make a sale. Might go back here for the doctor, but will never be purchasing anything else from here again.

Dr Parker was utterly brilliant and explained everything clearly. I was there wity my 7 year old son who also had his eyes checked. A smooth stress free visit. Best optometrist Ive seen.

I went for an eye/contacts exam which was covered by my insurance. The optometrist asked me to try on a pair of contacts and no one ever told me that I was going to be charged $85 just for trying a pair of contacts on!!! I’ve been using contacts lenses for the past 20 years and I’ve been tested annually and I’ve NEVER been charged before for trying on contacts. They usually even give me free samples to take home with me, which Vision Works didn’t do either!

Dr. Parker is the best eye doctor with great knowledge, and an awesome personality. Any doctor at this Visionworks location in Pentagon City/ Fashion City Mall can care for you. All my experiences here were good ones.

Wonderful experience. Dr. Parker has a fantastic manner and is very knowledgeable. The staff out front are professional and welcoming. Would have give this review 5 stars if they were able to fill my prescription (which I might add, is complex). Would suggest to Visionworks that they perhaps consider partnering with a lab that is more comprehensive and accommodating (with filling more intricate/demanding prescriptions)

They dont accept Aetna Insurance,I was there today, according to the manager. She said they dont accept Aetna anymore.

I would have given them a shot but was unable to make an appointment. Their automated voice answering service was unusable and inescapable.

The optometrist was amazing! John Weiss. The front staff was efficient and fast. I was in out and have not had my eyes examined in 2 years! I am excited that I can try contacts for the first time.

Manager, Tuesday was incredibly helpful in repairing my lenses which were broken by another vision works in Va while doing an adjustment. She helped me locate the original store where the glasses were purchased and sent them away for the repair, no charge to me. This was exceptional customer service!

I had a lovely experience yesterday. The staff was welcoming and practicing safe COVID measures. Dr. Parker was attentive, thorough, and listened to what was working for me and did not try and upsell me or push me into any lenses that were not necessary. The staff went above and beyond to find my same frames I love and have them sent from another store to fulfill my order. You will not find an optometrist with more skill and expertise than Dr. Stephen Parker. During the past fifteen years that I have been his patient, he has worked hard to make sure that I have excellent, sharp vision. He really cares about his patients and is generaous with his time. His prescriptions for contacts and glasses are perfect. I have also relied on him for a second opinion as he has extensive knowledge of eye conditions.

An all around great visit. Dr. Johnson was attentive, open to all kinds of questions and very helpful. The paperwork was easy and I was in and out of there nice and fast.

I went in to have my eye glasses tightened. After two failed attempts, I left. The tech was not friendly and honestly seemed annoyed that he had to help me. I didn’t get his name but he was wearing green scrubs. To begin with, my eye glasses were never sized right to fit my face. I tried to have this issue fixed last Fall, but once again I was treated with a total disrespect. I have not run into a service industry with such disregard for the client and more important the service was not up to par.Such a waste of money.

VisionWork is the only place I go to get my eye exam and glasses. Every time I go there Store Manager Tuesday Hairston always very helpful . I always get great service. Great management and Staff.

Apparently this place is hit or miss. I chose them based on the good reviews but my glasses where measured incorrectly twice. I had this verified by going to a different optician who helped diagnose why, even with correct prescription, there was distortion and double vision in the periphery of my lenses. Did not feel like having them re-made a third time.

I have never written a review before but this time Im compelled to do so because of the impeccable services I received form Tuesday (manager) at the Pentagon City VisionWorks eye store in Virginia. This was my very first time in an eye store so I didnt know what to expect. I have to admit, I was a little nervous because of covid-19. Tuesday (manager) made me feel very comfortable and at ease with her professionalism and abiding by the covid-19 laws. Tuesday (manager) was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and resolved all my concerns. She was the best!!! Im really looking forward to getting my first pair of glasses!

Yesterday was our first visit to Visionworks (1100 S. Hayes St location). It was my teen’s first eye exam with the company. Everyone was very courteous and professional. Dr. Khong walked us through all aspects of the eye exam and the staff helped us to select the best options for my teen’s eyewear. So, I’m coming back for my own appointment next weekend.What I really like is that everyone was upfront about out-of-pocket costs for the retina scan before the procedure. Their honesty and general professionalism greatly impressed me.

I was very pleased with how my appointment went! They were great about letting me know why my insurance did and didn’t cover and made me feel very comfortable with all the covid protocols in place. Dr. Parker was great and staff friendly.

Associates assured me my contacts would be mailed to my home address. I was later told they could only be picked up at the store location. After research I determined the contacts I ordered were priced significantly above market value. I would avoid Visionworks. They’re customer service is not responsive and I assume they try to manipulate reviews.

Exceptional Customer Service. I have never been to this place before and decided to go there based on all the positive reviews. I was not disappointed!! From the beginning to the end, the staff made sure we were informed properly on everything. The optometrist was so wonderful and took his time to examine rather than rushing through to the next patient. One of the members on the front staff, Suresh, provided great customer service to us. He was diligent, timely and took care of all the paperwork for us which made the whole process easier. I would definitely go again and would be recommending this place to others.

I was sooo pleased with my visit. I been a patient here before then I switched to someone else. Wrong decision. Ive been coming here since it was hour eyes in 2005! I had an emergency with my eyes and contacts and they were able to see me the same day. I was so happy and the staff is amazing and the doctor is so thorough and he made sure everything was perfect right on down to me choosing my contact lens brand. Ive been going to Visionworks @ Pentagon City for a number of years now. Their staff has always been very professional and courteous and willing to address any issue that may arise. I only gave 4 stars because I think the staff member who assisted me was new. it took him quite some time to finalize my transaction but he was very nice. I would definitely recommend this place.

I am not big on shopping at malls but always worth it when I need new prescription glasses to visit Suresh at Visionworks. He took the time to figure out which frames would work best with my needs and even more time to make sure I maximized my vision insurance. As soon as you enter Visionworks it is clear they understand the importance of customer service -- friendly and provide top notch advise.

DO NOT COME HERE if you’re trying to use your end of year benefits!I came here after reading the positive reviews. However they never asked me for my insurance number or plan number (what?) and then told me I had to pay an $85 contact lens fitting charge which I have NEVER had to do before in all the years I have had the SAME insurance plan?? Beware they will try to tack on add on fees and then say it is “required under my plan.” I honestly don’t understand how they are able to know this if they never asked me for my specific plan? There are many types of plans that can be under the same health insurance. I even told them that I hadn’t given my plan # out yet and they didn’t pay attention to searching it up.I asked for only contact and glass prescriptions and the lady told me I had to pay the additional $85 charge. Spent almost 15 minutes trying to inform her that I never had to pay this charge before and didn’t understand why they were now charging me for it.Update: I looked up my plan benefits and under it I am supposed to get both contact prescription and glass prescription covered (without any fees). They told me I had to pay a fee. Very disappointed in lack of attention to detail here and felt like they were trying to scam me.Result: ended up not being able to use my end of year benefit for a contact prescription to go along with my new frame prescription. I also felt that my prescription was a bit different from what I had at my old eye doctors, whom I trust and have been going for years (but they’re far away since I moved.)Definitely go somewhere else if you’re worried about sly add on fees and want accurate service.

Super happy with my visit to VisionWorks. The optometrist who administered my exam was very knowledgeable and the associates who helped me pick out my glasses were friendly and helpful. Their prices are great too, my glasses cost way less than I ever anticipated.

Great optometrists here - I have been going here for about 5 years, even after I moved out of VA and into DC. Everyone is polite, on time, happy to answer questions, and happy to exchange contacts if the fit isnt right. Plus, you can do pickup or get everything mailed to you. Added bonus: I am not very good at choosing my glasses, and one of the sales reps here picked a pair for me about 2 years ago. I get compliments on the pair he picked all the time!

Tuesday and Dr Parker were both awesome! A truly personalized experience. I was on my way to another store in PCity Mall for glasses and just stopped in to Visionworks for frames, so glad that I did. Not only did I find frames, but Dr Parker recommended options for my glasses based on my work/lifestyle and Tuesday made sure I knew all the options to make my glasses as affordable as possible. Great Customer Service! William was able to help me over the phone with my selection and gave me so much detail. I needed lenses for a frame that I had purchased and William was able to suggest something based off of what I expressed I needed, and even showed me the exact lens I would be getting when I came in to purchase. This was big for me as I had previously went elsewhere and was unhappy with what I had received.The rest of the team there is great! They know how to manage the clients in such a way that even if you are waiting you still feel like a top priority! The team is very friendly and sincere and I highly recommend them.

Visionworks has great deals and a helpful staff. William, at Pentagon City, was the best. He was kind and personable. He spent 20 minutes helping me find frames that worked with my prescription (invisible line bifocals) as well as my fitting my look and style. When I picked them up, he greeted me, asked after my spouse, and made sure I was happy before leaving. Its reasurring to know, if I have any difficulties with them, I can go back and receive the help I need. This English teacher grades William and Visionworks A+.

Christopher S. is a great Tech! So personable and very informative about the process. He was really the glue for my visit this week. Dr. Parker was awesome too, allowed me information about my prescription and how my eyes were progressing positively. But Chris was able to show me packages that suited my prescription and budget best! Christopher is a rockstar!!!!!!!!

I just had a great experience from this store, they attended to me very quickly and fixed my son glasses that one of the legs broke, I had a mother paid of frames from two year ago that I was hopping I could use to exchange the newer glasses onto the older one. I usually go to America Best eye place but I decided to switch it up because of the recent eye injury I got. Well from start to finish the experience was excellent the doctor was amazing and answered all of my questions and concerns. Everyone was just great from starting my paperwork, to my initial eye screening to the time with the doctor to the person who helped me pick out my eyeglasses. I will be making an appointment for my daughter and will be making this place my permanent eye care place.

The Dr. and staff were great and helpful and very professional. However, long are the days where you can get your glasses in a reasonable amount of time. I just called for an update on my sons glasses and I was advised that they would not be in until the 26th. That is TWO WEEKS from the day of the appointment. My child is struggling in school and miserable and they cannot do anything to get them any faster. In the day and age that we live in, I find it so hard to believe that we are going backwards in this type of service. I miss being able to get my glasses the same day, or even withing 2-3 days at most. This is ridiculous as far as speed of service goes. I will likely be taking his Rx elsewhere that can deliver in a more timely manner.Again, the staff was great and addressed my concerns professionally to the best of their ability, but if this is how this company works, I dont see myself coming back. A Visual Health advised that they could have 2 pairs of glasses for my son ready in an hour or 2 TODAY.

Set up an appt online, quick & easy! The doctor was very kind & helpful. Once it was ready to check out the gentleman helping me did his best to give me all the discounts they offer to save me money. I left quite happy and looking forward to going back to pick up my new glasses!

5 star experience yesterday at Visionworks. I ended up coming here after calling a couple optometry offices in Old Town Alexandria that didn’t have any openings that worked for me. I came in to get a new contacts prescription and Dr. Steve Parker took care of me. Nice guy that knew his stuff. Sunesh at the front desk helped me out with my insurance questions and took care of getting it all processed. He was also nice and professional. Overall, I walked away very pleased with my visit. In the past, I felt like one of my former optometry offices tried to sell me on other things to charge me more. Didn’t run into that here, which I was happy with. Definitely recommend.

The doctor I was seen by was wounderful. It was not her regular office so she did not know were things were and was upset that they had no numbing drops to use with the dilation drops. She was careing and I think this was one of my best experiences with a eye exam in years.

I used my federal government insurance to get an eye exam and glasses here. Dr. Parker was excellent. The guy who helped me select my glasses and wrote up my order was very nice and professional. He would not give me the advertised buy one pair, get one free because I used federal government vision insurance, so im deducting one star. I have the high option on my insurance so I was able to get a very nice pair of Coach glasses for $219 but only had to pay $19 out of pocket. He originally tallied up my charges incorrectly for the night vision/glare, but corrected it once I showed them what my insurance showed as my co-pay for it. Turns out they had two choices, one was more expensive than the other. I would consider using them again next year.

It was easy making an appointment and on the day of the appointment when I showed up early they took me right away. I felt comfortable with the entire experience with no pressure being exerted on me for any tests or when I was deciding what glasses I wanted to purchase. I had great service from Chris and William. They worked with me to maximize my insurance benefits and provided me with options to save me money. The purchase and insurance processing was good considering the process is laborious.No issues with optometrist.I am giving in 4 stars because I feel like the frame selection was sub par and didnt provide enough options for different face shapes. Too many trendy frames.
